This section of our DOOL page is about our opinions. Keep in mind that these are only our opinions - so if you are the type of person who is easily offended by the ideas of others, we suggest that you leave. NEW - Added Feb 25, 2000 ~ Austin: Quit wasting your time with Sami! She's got the hots for Brandon!! I bet pretty soon Brandon and Sami are going to hook up, and I hope that she tries to do it behind Austin's back...then Austin can find out and go back to hating Sami. And maybe he could go into a semi-depressed state about letting Carrie go. He could feel bad about leaving Carrie for Sami and running away with her (which drove Carrie into Mikes arms - and bed!) and beat himself up over it for a few months. Maybe then for a few episodes Carrie could come back and tell Austin off! She could be all "I can't believe that you went after my sister as soon as I left!" And then Austin could try to commit suicide, but not succeed. This would spice things up a bit. And then they could introduce someone new to the show (maybe someone that looked a lot like Carrie) and Austin could fall in love with her. And then they could live happily ever after. Yeah, those last few ideas were pretty off the wall, but DOOL is off the wall. I mean, remember the possession storyline? Like, hello? What the heck was that?!
NEW - Added June 19, 2000 ~ OK, I have been thinking about the whole Austin and Sami relationship. I was never a fan to begin with, and I personally think Brandon is better suited for Sami, but the thing that really really bugs me is that after years of pursuing Austin (while causing him and Carrie complete torture in the process) once she finally GETS Austin, little miss Sami isn't SATISFIED!!!!!!! C'mom biotch, what are you thinking? I would prefer for Sami and Austin to break up, but she did all that crap to get him FOR NOTHING!! I used to be a huge Austin/Carrie fan until Mike came around, but I think I will always hold a grudge against Sami for putting Austin and Carrie through all of that crap! Sami must be really hard to please. I sure hope Brandon can handle her!! Also, I have been thinking about an Austin and Greta pairing, and I think that it might work. They are both kinda dumb, so they would be perfect for each other. If the writers could handle it properly, they could really get the viewers to like Greta and Austin together, but knowing them they will screw everything up! I think Austin needs a haircut! He is looking shaggy, and after perfect little Eric, Greta will need a better looking man!
NEW - Added May 22, 2001 ~ Hey there guys! It's been a loooong time since I have been here and written down my thoughts. A lot has happened on days since last time I have written, but I will just concentrate on the current storylines. I think Sami is being very foolish...Brandon helped her with the whole Moroni thing, but as soon as they got back to the US, she had to go back to Austin. I think the only reason she got protective of him was because Greta seemed kind of threatening. But it looks like that since Greta has become a princess, she has also grown some balls, because now she sticks up for herself more! I would like to see Sami and Greta get into it again. Also, it bothers me how poorly she is treating Kate. I still root for Kate, since back when Sami was trying to break up Austin and Carrie. Back then Kate was just trying to be a good mother. I'll save my Kate comments for her section though...but anyway, I am sure that Austin and Sami will finally break up for good, and Austin will end up with Greta, and Sami will end up with Brandon. That's what has to happen, right?
Marlena and John
For all of you John & Marlena fans: the following opinions regarding John and Marlena may seem rather harsh, but I will say that one of my all-time favorite storylines was the whole John/Kristen/Marlena thing a few years back. I really loved John and Marlena then, but lately they have just gotten on my nerves. I think the writers should really give these two a decent storyline! So when you read what I have written, don't get too angry - these are my opinions are about John and Marlena's current situation on Days......I have some problems with Marlena. First, she is way too melodramatic. She always gasps at everything and makes this deer-caught-in-the-headlights look everytime something goes wrong. And I hate how when she is talking "sexy" to John she always gets that drunk, sleepy look. She starts speaking really breathy too. It's sick. And enough with the strawberries! They are always feeding them to each other. Also, Marlena should stay out of everyone's lives. She always is giving unsolicited advice to everyone! Yeah, she's a shrink, but no thanks. Ya know what else? I really think that Marlena should dress her age. I remember one time she was wearing a black leather pants suit. Now that is sad. She is a tad too "mature" for an outfit like that. I was actually a little embarrassed for her. At least she has stayed pretty young looking for how old she really is. I have to hand it to her for that. And another thing...I get kinda annoyed at the fact that she is the last name mentioned during the cast credits. That is a little too stuck up for my taste. I guess she is the "star" of the show, but I think there are a lot of actors better than her on Days. And one last thing about Marlena. Why the heck does this woman keep smelling salts in her purse? Remember at the Salem High 70s dance when the ISA agents were giving "Hope" the third degree about being Princess Gina and she fainted? Marlena came to the rescue and put some smelling salts under her nose. Whatsupwitdat?! Now John isn't that great either. Why does he always have to raise one eyebrow and squint his eye? And he always talks really deep and breathy. I wonder what his voice sounds like in real life? I do like John more than Marlena, and even though I don't really care for them separately they are a good couple. I think their dorky personalities match.
NEW - Added Feb 25, 2000 ~ Marlena did another one of her trademark "gasps" the other day. When John "the Pawn" told her that there was a bomb aboard the plane, she gasped louder that I've heard her gasp in a looooong time! (haha) I'm sure I'd gasp too if someone told me there was a bomb on the plane that I was on, but it was just extra funny 'cause she did it. And it was so lame how they covered it up too: John said something like "My wife is just a little frisky." Wow, even when John is in military mode he still is a horny SOB! I guess Rolf didn't have to plant hormones in him, John was born with them!
NEW - Added May 22, 2001 ~ I am really liking what they are doing with the Marlena and John story! I am sorry, but I am happy when these two are having problems. I know a lot of you won't agree with me, so please send in your opinions to us if you think I am wrong! But when Marlena and John are happy, the Cooing and Sighing Factor is usually on HIGH, and it drives me up the wall! Plus, when they are happy, they are having WAY too much sex, and that really grosses me out too. Even though Brady is a complete jerk, I think it is still kind of funny how he is causing so many problems for Marlena. He kind of has a point, even though his methods of solving his problems are kind of misguided. Marlena probably was not the greatest mother to him. And I am sure he feels a lot of pain about that. C'mon, Marlena blindly accepted the theory that Brady could have hurt Belle on those train tracks. She should have put her feelings aside and tried to support him like John did. Both Belle and Brady are John's blood-related children, just because Marlena didn't pass Brady out of her own birth canal, doesn't mean that he isn't her son too! I am interested in seeing how Brady is going to destroy Marlena. Maybe he will strike a deal with Stefano and get her kidnapped again! That would be pretty funny! (But only if they bring back those goggles and that birdcage!)
Bo, Hope, The Late Princess Gina, and Greta (and now JT)
When is Hope ever going to get back together with Bo? I was never a huge Bo&Hope fan, and that is probably because I didn't watch Days in the 80s - I hear they used to be the supercouple of daytime television. I can't really see that now. Hope is pretty and all, but she seems like she may be a little stuck on herself. And Bo has been kinda brainless lately. They do deserve to be together though. Although they aren't my favorite, I still like them together. And as hokey as it sounds, I think it was cool how Hope would send Bo and Shawn D (I don't care, I will still call him Shawn D...it is less confusing that way!) those telepathic visions while in the turret with Stefano. It's a little unrealistic, but so was the flying bed with Mike and Carrie! (What was that anyway!?) I really think you can kinda have a connection with someone you love so deeply. And you know they say that mothers can sense if their children are in danger? I really believe that to be true, and that was like how Hope knew that Shawn D fell from the balcony. So...I am happy that Gina is dead now because the whole storyline has been dragged out for too long. But it was kinda sad seeing her die in the hospital - and with her eyes open! But I personally think that the whole Gina/Hope storyline wasn't all that interesting to begin with. It all started when Hope got back to Salem, when they thought she might be this "Gina" person and not Hope. Once Hope got her memory back and everything was good, we had to hear Hope talk incessantly about her "four missing years". Lemme tell ya, I was so sick of hearing those words come out of her mouth! And then we all had to take a little trip down to the bayou in Louisiana and encounter SWAMP GIRL. C'mon people! How far-fetched is that? Like some pretty girl that used to live in Paris, had a princess for a mother and even attended an expensive boarding school could end up living in the swamps of Louisiana?! Now conveniently, Greta has been transformed into a tasteful member of the society of Salem, and it seems that everyone has forgotten the fact that she used to smear dirt on her face, grunt like a wild beast and eat bugs for lunch! I really do like Greta though, she is one of my favs now. She is so nice and I think she is so pretty! She is 100% sweet, and although some people get sick of her I really like her. I just wish she'd stop saying "my mother" this and "my mother" that. It's a tad on the annoying side. And her mom wasn't that great. I though it was kinda cheesey how they tried to make Princess Gina act like royalty. What was with that foney accent? Was she trying to sound British? I call it a "tacky proper" accent. No one actually speaks like that in the world. Another fabricated thing from Days. And her clothes weren't that great, actually a little too flashy, at least I think so. A real princess would dress nice and classy, not ultra-trendy and flashy. Oh well!
NEW - Added Mar 4, 2000 ~ Okay peeps, something really bothered me about yesterday's show. First off, I wanna give props to the writers and everyone else involved for making the whole Princess Gina floating-in-the-lagoon horror scene. That was pretty creepy! And I think that she really looked dead! BUT there was something that I had a huge problem with...IF the bomb was in Gina's casket, and John pushed the casket out of the plane right when the bomb went off, shouldn't Gina have blown up with the bomb? If the laws of reality applied on DOOL, Greta would have been finding bits and pieces of her mother scattered all over the place instead of finding a WHOLE BODY conveniently floating in the lagoon. Whatsupwitdat?!?!

This baby thing is getting out of hand. Lexi seems like she will turn evil because of it. But that is besides the point - who do you all think should be that father of Hope's baby?? I really really really hope that it is John. John is not one of my favorite characters, but I think he is a good dad and all four of them (Hope/Bo/Marlena/John) would be able to get over the fact that John and Hope slept together and conceived a baby. They are all level-headed people (most of the time) and would be able to see past that. The baby would have a much better environment. STEFANO CANNOT BE THE FATHER! That pig has too many children as is - he doesn't need to spread his seed anymore!! Plus, Hope and Bo wouldn't have any peace with him being the father. And that baby might turn up all bloated if he is the father!!
NEW - Added May 22, 2001 ~ Hope has every right to tell Bo the truth, and Marlena should just keep her fat a$$ out of it! Is Hope supposed to sacrifice her own marriage just so Marlena and John can be happy? No, I don't think so. Sometimes you have to look out for yourself. I wonder what is going to happen when Hope tells Bo the truth? Do you think he will rip John's face off? I think he should redirect his anger towards Marlena and break her in half! That would solve a lot of problems. I feel bad about the whole baby switching storyline. Hope deserves to have her own little baby. But it still would be hard to make that switch because each family has grown close to the baby that they recieved. You sometimes see on those "Switched at Birth" stories on 20/20 and Dateline how the families just usually keep the baby that they end up getting because they are used to being that baby's family now. I don't know what I would do. Maybe because it is still so early, they could make the switch without psychologically damaging the children now. But I have no idea. I just wish Lexi wasn't evil - she is creeping me out!
Nicole, Lucas, Eric, and Greta (again)
Okay...here it goes...Nicole is the worst character on Days! I totally don't like this chick. She is so snotty and mean. I never liked her with Eric, and when they were together she was so mean to him by keeping all of those secrets. Eric was always so nice and honest with her. So what does she do to thank him? Marries the slimeball of Salem for 5 million dollars! I felt so bad how hurt Eric was. And Nicole thinks that she can win him back somehow. And even though I am not a big Lucas fan, Nicole should treat him a little better than she does. Lucas is actually trying to be a good husband and father, and he is keeping his drinking problem under control. Nicole sure isn't though! And no one really cares if she drinks herself into oblivion...it's actually pretty funny when she does! She makes a fool out of herself every time. I really hope she doesn't mess things up for Eric and Greta though - they are really cute together. One last thing, when Nicole tried to seduce Eric during that "steamy" photo shoot it made me want to hurl! She was wearing that disgusting, cream-colored, lacey, French-cut underwear...it made me want puke. She could never seduce Eric. I hope he is smart enough to never fall for that again.
NEW - Added Mar 4, 2000 ~ Nicole is SOOOOOO mean! I can't believe how mean she has been to her mother lately. I feel so sorry for Fay. She seems really sweet and Nicole shouldn't treat her mother like that. Nicole needs to get shot or run over or SOMETHING! Anything to get her to stop breathing!!!
NEW - Added June 19, 2000 ~ I heard a rumor that Nicole might be pregnant...wouldn't that be a laugh! Actually, I think that could be a good storyline. As of right now I don't give a crap about her sordid past or how many times she has sex with Rex (teehee, that rhymed!) - and I definitely don't care about how much she wants Eric. Seeing her pregnant might be a good way to get people interested in what happens to her. And I think it is interesting how Eric is falling for Nicole again while he is still with Greta. That kinda makes me mad b/c I liked Eric and Greta's budding relationship, but TPTB had to go ruin it just for Eric's departure from the show. I think they should have made Eric leave on better terms with Greta, but who cares what I think!
NEW - Added June 26, 2000 ~ OK, this Nicole thing might be kinda interesting. I never thought I would see the day where a storyline with Nicole would be decent!! It looks as if she isn't pregnant, but she obviously has something wrong with her. Maybe TPTB will only play it up to be a pregnancy/STD scare, but it would be interesting if it was just more than a scare. If she gets and STD, maybe it would be a good "public service" storyline about safe sex or whatever. I remember on General Hospital, Robin and Stone were having sex without condoms but she was on the pill. Stone ended up finding out he had AIDS (from his sordid past when he was on the streets sharing needles). He got sick and died, and later Robin found out she got AIDS too. After the end of one of the more serious shows, the actress who played Robin came on and talked about AIDS and safe sex and there was some number you could call to ask questions or whatever. It was actually a really emotional storyline, and I think it was beneficial. While most of the public liked Stone and Robin, people don't really like Nicole and I doubt if she could really make any difference in anyone's lives because I bet that half of the viewers wish she would get killed off of the show anyway! Oh well. I actually felt bad for Nicole today when she was walking away from her appointment and was kinda talking to God and said that she didn't deserve to have Him listen to her prayers. That is really sad because God listens to your prayers no matter what you have done. Maybe there is an ounce of good in Nicole floating around in there somewhere! And the whole Locker Room Lolita movie!! *LOL* That is funny that Eric ended up in the porn section. I bet he actually liked it in there! (j/k) So was he going to go home with that movie and watch it? That would be hard to see your ex having sex in a porn!! I would feel really gross. And poor Eric, now he is at risk for an STD. At least they used condoms - although they aren't that safe it is better than nothing!
Salem High
Not to sound too negative, but I totally hate the Salem High storylines. When Belle got aged, I thought, "Oh no! This is going to be hard to take!" and it definitely is. I think Kirsten Storms (is that her name?) used to be on this kiddie show on the Disney Channel called "Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century" or something like that. She played a ditzy teenager on that too. I really don't like Belle that much, and I regret saying this but she is kinda growing on me now. (I stress the word "kinda") Her storyline with Shawn D is getting better - I think it's all because of Shawn though because he is the only good teeny-bopper character on the show. I don't really like Mimi and Phillip. No one cares about Phillip's gambling problems and Mimi is just plain sad. She is the typical lackey. And how is Belle the most popular girl in school when her only girlfriend is Mimi? And Mimi just seems like a polished nerd. Belle must have dragged her out of "Nerd Land" and cleaned her up. Her nerd ways come out every once in a while though, like when she got on her hands and knees and begged Shawn D to go to the dance. How sad! And another thing, aren't Belle and Shawn D distantly related? They are half or step cousins - or something like that. A little too close to incest for me! Ya know, the whole Rapid-Aging-Syndrome sounds like it would have been like a good idea for making a whole "Salem High" generation, but only in theory though. "Youth Culture" is really popular nowadays, but I don't think it really worked in the case of Days. I know some younger teenagers that watch DOOL and most of them don't even like the high school stuff. I think no one of any age can relate with Belle. She does not capture the essence of today's typical teenager.
NEW - Added Feb 25, 2000 ~ I've been liking Belle more and more lately. Her character is really starting to develop. And I am kinda rooting for Belle and Shawn to hook up. Now that Mimi jerk, she drives me insane! She is so mean, especially to Chole. I kinda like Chole too. That will be great when they make her all "un-dorkified". I'm sure all the guys will want her - the gal's got brains AND beauty. And it will be fun to see Belle squirm as Shawn and Chloe get closer and closer. I think this little plot should happen sometime: Chloe and Shawn are talking after school (maybe about music?) and Belle walks up behind them, just in time to see them kiss! And this could happen after Belle and Shawn have their first kiss. That would make things interesting. And DOOL really like to drag out storylines, so this would give them a chance to make a Belle/Shawn pairing take a lot longer.
NEW - Added June 19, 2000 ~ I like how Chloe and Belle are becoming friends. It will be cool when Chloe gets all glammed up and all the guys will be drooling over her. Phillip is a brat, he doesn't deserve her. He will only get interested in her when she gets less freak-like, and that is not nice. Chloe needs a mature guy. What if they put Roman and Chloe together? That would be hilarious (and disgusting)!!! I think this Mimi gone bad storyline will be interesting - but you know they are only giving a teen a front-burner storyline because it is summer and they need the teen demographic. Oh well, it seems interesting. And that whole "music-videoish" scene with Mimi on the street a few weeks ago was interesting. I wasn't looking at the TV when it was happening and I thought it WAS on MTV! The only stupid part about that was after that was over, they went to a Greta scene and it was abruptly normal again - bad transition...
NEW - Added July 10, 2000 ~ I just want to say that the Last Blast Dance was really cool. I am so glad that Chloe came out of her "shell" and everyone accepted her for the beautiful person she is. I do think it was kinda bad though, because people should have accepted her no matter how she looked. It's not about what is on the outside, it is the inside that counts. Oh well. I think it is sweet that Shawn pushed her out of the way of the Bucket O' Blood. If only Philip would act like a normal human being and not get so caught up in popularity, then maybe he and Chloe could have a normal relationship. I have a feeling that TPTB will drag this one out for a loooong time. I wonder if Chloe will start wearing the black stuff after the dance? I hope not, because she looks so pretty without it! Also, someone emailed me and commented on my last update of this section...he said that Abby and Shawn are related so they couldn't hook up. I never thought of that, but I guess it isn't stopping a Belle/Shawn pairing since those two are distantly related! Hahaha...
NEW - Added May 22, 2001 ~ The Salem High adventures have picked up some. I never understood the whole "rape" storyline with Chloe and Philip. Personally I think Chloe has a screw loose. But it still was wrong of Nancy to force the tests to be done on her. I wonder when Shawn and Belle are going to just get it on? I still think of them as cousins though, which kinda makes me sick to my stomach. Especially since when the news about JT being John's son comes out...that will mean that they both are sharing a half-brother! Allow me to wipe the vomit from my keyboard now. I think Jan should get thrown off a cliff. This whole webcam idea or whatever is really stupid. Chloe should rip that girl's face off. Let's see what's in store for these kids this summer! I am sure the writers are planning something fun.
Kate, Nicholas, and Victor (and now Nicole)
NEW - Added Feb 25, 2000 ~ The whole Kate/Nicholas pairing kinda grosses me out, but in a way I still like it. Kate could be Nicky's mommy, which completely gives me the creeps. The good thing is that Kate does a good job of not showing her age, which makes this whole romance believable. I've always thought Victor was a tad too old for Kate, but Nicholas is still too young. I used to love Kate, especially right after she came back from when Vivian sent her off. I always liked how Kate looked after Carrie and Austin. The whole Sami vs. Kate scenes were my favs. But after the Franco murder stuff, I began to dislike Kate. At least they are giving her a better storyline. And although sometimes the whole Kate/Nicholas thing makes me want to puke, I still want to see them hook up! Their scenes are pretty hot (maybe a little too hot for daytime tv...there are little kids that could see that!)
NEW - Added June 19, 2000 ~ Well, it looks as if Nicholas will be off the show. That is a shame, I know lots of gals that will be mad to see such eye-candy leave (I personally don't think he is hot, but I have high standards *g*). I feel bad for the actor - Victor Webster is it? That must stink to be let go. I would feel so offended. And it isn't his fault that they didn't give him a dynamic storyline or role. Most people were grossed out that he and Kate were together. They should have kept Billie on and then they could have shagged all they wanted. Maybe people would have rather seen that?
NEW - Added May 22, 2001 ~ I just have to say that I have lost a lot of respect for Victor. I can't believe that he is getting it on with Nicole. If he was worried about Kate using him for his money, he definitely is barking up the wrong tree for the next lady in his life. That is all that Nicole wants from you, old man! Do you think it is for your boyish good looks? I don't think so. I feel really bad for Kate...but maybe this new situation is a reality check for her. I liked her right when she came back to Salem after Vivian tried to kill her. Kate had the street smarts, and her heart was in the right place. But after a while, I think Kate lost sight of what was important, and turned too sour. I firmly believe that somehow Kate will come out on top again. Hey, it happened with Vivian when she lost her fortune, but then ran into Jonesy! I will be happy when Kate will shat upon Nicole once again. Oh, and I think Philip is a jerk for how he is embarrassed of his mother working in a diner. If I were him, I would be giving my mom all of the money I received so she could live decently, despite what Victor says. I am sure that Kate would do anything she could for him, he should show her some of that same treatment!
General Comments
NEW - Added June 19, 2000 ~ I love Days, don't get me wrong, but it has been kinda slow lately. And by "lately" I actually mean a very long time. I think the last time that it was interesting and kept me on was when the whole Mike/Carrie/Ali thing was going on. The only other story since then that was even remotely interesting was the whole plane-crash/search to find Hope thing. That was cool. And I thought that during the summertime soaps are supposed the pick up. Days usually always did, but this summer seems kinda dull. Yeah, Hope delivering her baby is cool and all, but it's just not enough for this Days viewer. Go ahead and call me hard to please, but I personally think that Days isn't living up to their potential. I correspond with a Days fan in New Zealand (they are a few years behind us) and she says that from what she reads, the Days that we are seeing now seems a lot more boring that what they are going through right now (Kristan is still on down there! *sigh*). So I don't really think it is just me. The new viewers might not see it, but for people that have watched it for at least 5 years probably know what I am talking about. I also vowed that if Stefano ends up being the father, I am going to stop watching all together...but you know that I could never do that! I will always be a DOOL fan...even if the storylines need a little work.
NEW - Added May 22, 2001 ~ I am happy what the writers are doing with the show lately. It seems like it definitely has picked up for May sweeps. The summer promises to be interesting too! I am also happy that they have brought back Jack and Jen...it has really helped! It seems like they have made a lot of changes for the better.
Sami & Austin
This couple makes me want to puke. I used to be a huge Austin and Carrie fan. I always hated Sami for trying to break up Carrie and Austin. Now, after all Sami did to Austin, how can she be dating him? How can he forgive Sami after she lied about Will being his son, raped him, and schemed against him and Carrie to break them up. I can’t wait until he finds out Sami lied about Lucas hitting Will. But since Austin is the biggest (I will let you fill in the blank), he will probably forgive her again. I am sorry these two just do not make sense. Brandon and Sami make a much better couple. They both have a dark side and they go after what they want and don’t stop until they get it, no matter what the cost. Austin deserves to be alone, but since this is the soaps and we know that won’t happen, let him have Nicole – they deserve each other.
John/Marlena/Hope/Bo/Stefano
NEW - Added April 15, 2000 ~ I think this whole “who's the father” storyline will be a good storyline for a change. I am getting a little tired of all the weird science fiction stuff. Days needs to do something a little more realistic for once. I just wish Bo would tell Hope the truth about the baby. Hope keeps asking for answers and he keeps shutting down. If I were Hope I would demand answers. I don’t know why she is not pressing harder. I would want to know what had happened to me if I were in her place and I think it is wrong for her not to know. I know it is hard for Bo, but he has to tell Hope the truth, especially about the baby. He can’t just go on living like the baby is his. I mean, he knows Stefano could be the father. Does Bo honestly think that if Stefano is the father he will back down and have nothing to do with the baby? I don’t think so. And now Stefano is taunting John about the whole baby situation. I don’t know why John would go to Stefano for answers in the first place. He has never admitted anything before so why would he start now? Stefano did however admit the sub memories with Hope were real. So now why doesn’t John believe the other memories are real. He knows the whole history with Gina and the art thefts and he even has those memories. John also went into “mercenary mode” and had different flashbacks. He has to know those memories are real cause there is proof with his actions. Everything is adding up to all of his memories being real so he should just admit it and start to face them. He obviously knows he could be the father of Hope’s baby and at least he is admitting that to himself. Hopefully though, John won’t buy the fact that he is the only possible father for Hope’s baby. John has never trusted Stefano and I don’t see why he would start now. He should realize Stefano would have never saved Hope without an ulterior motive. John should also admit to Marlena about his memories. He can’t hide the truth forever and it will come out eventually. I really could careless about what happens between J & M, but I really do not think she would leave him. Marlena would be devastated at first, but would realize he wasn’t the “John” she knows and she would forgive him. Not only that, but their relationship started again with an affair while she was married to Roman and she expected to be forgiven. So unless she is a bigot she should forgive him. The same goes for Bo and Hope. Hope would get past the fact that Bo slept with Gina and they all would move on. Lying about what has happened between all of them will cause more pain then letting everything out in the open.
NEW - Added April 29, 2000 ~ Okay, before I say this I am prolly going to offend some people so I just thought I would warn everyone. Here it goes... I see this campaign going around about putting "Bo on the ballot" meaning put him as a choice for the father of Hope’s baby. Personally, I think this campaign is really really dumb. I mean, it is unrealistic for Bo to be the father. Everyone complains about how unrealistic Days is and when they finally do something realistic the fans want to make it unrealistic again. Maybe I would think differently if I were a huge Bo and Hope fan, but I am not. Fans shouldn’t worry about these two getting together anyway. After the whole baby mess blows over they will be fine. Who else are they going to be with??
NEW - Added June 28, 2000 ~ I am really glad that Lexie is starting see the bad side of Stefano. Did you see how she treated him when he gave her a call on her cell phone (June 27 episode)? It is nice to hear her talk so coldly to him. Hopefully she will keep feeling the same way about him. I do think that it was dumb though for her to keep Marlo’s death a secret. Abe is going to find out somehow and that will prolly ruin their relationship for a while. I wonder if she will still keep in close contact with Stefano and allow him to see the baby? That would be funny if she didn’t, since that was the whole reason Stefano wanted to do the baby switch. If she does that though, he might take drastic measures and kidnap the baby. Maybe if that were to happen everyone would find out about the baby switch and the paternity of the child. I really hope the baby turns out to be John’s. I don’t think I can handle Stefano having another child! Plus, there would be so much more turmoil if he were the father. The truth about Hope and John and Bo and Gina sleeping together is going to come out anyway. Yeah everyone will be hurt at first, but they will eventually get over it. All four of them could raise that baby and it would be like having four parents. And if John is the father then Bo and Hope could be rid of Stefano forever. But if Stefano is the father he would always have a hold on the Brady’s and I don’t see that story going anywhere. It is getting old! A good storyline would be to have Stefano think that he is the father and then let it turn out to be John’s. Then Stefano would be devastated and that would be nice to see for once! Whatever happens for all these couples I just hope the baby turns out to be John’s.
Greta/Eric/Lucas/Nicole
NEW - Added April 15, 2000 ~ Eric and Greta have become my favorite couple on Days and I will be sad to see Jensen leave. I really wish Days could work something out with him, so he could work on other projects and still be on Days. Even though Jensen is leaving, I really think they should keep his character. I have thought a really long time about this and realized Days should recast. I know it will not be the same (trust me I know), but I could get used to the new actor as long as they do a good job of casting. I got used to Austin Peck and Peter Reckell (I started watching Days during the Robert Kelker-Kelly era) so I really think I could like another actor playing the part although it would take some time. I think the character of Eric is too important to the storyline and I know Eric and Greta have become a very popular couple. If Days did not recast the role though, I hope he would leave on a good note with Greta. Hopefully Eric will not get back together with Nicole and ruin his chances of getting her back if Jensen ever decides to return. If Eric does leave then what will they do with Nicole? Her whole storyline is based on getting Eric back. I wish Nicole would leave instead of Eric! I am really starting to hate this girl more every day. Eric needs to get some brains and realize what Nicole is doing to him. She has done nothing, but deceive him from day one and he is still in love with her. He needs to get those disgusting fantasies out of his head and start focusing on his future with Greta. I just hope they have one. Nicole, on the other hand, needs to be put back out on the street where she belongs. She is so mean to her mother, Will, and even her husband. Lucas is not one of my favs on the show, but no one deserves a wife like that. That is a love-less marriage and I have no idea how Lucas or even Nicole thought it would ever work out.
NEW - Added June 28, 2000 ~ I am really sad to see that Jensen is leaving the show. To be honest, the only real storyline that I have loved on days is his relationship with Greta. I am not sure what I am going to do when he leaves. Hopefully something else will grab my interest. I just hope he leaves on good terms with Greta, who knows he could come back to the show. It appears the writers are going to pair Greta up with Austin. At first I didn’t like the idea, but I have given some thought and maybe it wouldn’t be such a bad idea. I have prolly hated Austin for the past two years and maybe a relationship with Greta could change that. I can’t stand to see Sami and Austin together – it makes me want to puke! I love the character of Greta and really Austin is the only person I see on the show that would be a good match for her. Yeah he is a little dense in the head, especially when it comes to Sami, but he is sweet and would treat her right, and he wouldn’t pressure her to have sex with him. I really think I could like this couple and maybe start to like Austin again!
Shawn/Belle/Mimi/Philip/Chloe
NEW - Added April 15, 2000 ~ I have grown to like some of these characters, but I am not really into the Salem High gang. I love Shawn though! He tells it like it is and he sticks up for what he believes in. I love how he sticks up for Chloe when the other make fun of her and how he makes fun of Belle’s interesting hairstyles. Belle on the other hand gets on my nerves and I can’t stand her. I like her values and she seems to be a good person. I respect her a lot, but I just do not like the actress that plays her. I am sure Kirsten is a nice person and she really isn’t that bad of an actress, but she doesn’t fit my image of Belle. She has a high squeaky voice that gets on my nerves and hate the clothes she wears. Did you see that dress she wore to the Soap Opera Digest Awards? I am sorry, but it was a little slutty for a fifteen year old. I really wish they would get a new Belle to pair with Shawn. I wonder how they will get together and how it will affect Belle’s friendship with Mimi. Mimi is supposedly getting her own storyline soon so I wonder what that is going to be about. It must be something having to do with her dad being laid off and her family struggling to pay the bills as alluded to on Friday (April 14, 2000). I am glad Days took her off reoccurring status and signed her to a contract. She is one of the more talented teen actresses on Days and is doing a great job. The only thing I don’t like about Mimi is how she makes fun of Chloe. I can’t wait for Chloe to change her look then she can show everyone how beautiful she is! I think she will change her look for the next dance that is coming up. I wonder if she will share a dance with Philip? Philip seems to be interested in Chloe now and I am not sure why. He has hated her from day one and now all of a sudden he is interested in her. I wonder if he is doing this to get on Belle’s good side. There has to be a reason why he has a totally different view on Chloe. Maybe it was her singing? Who knows! Hopefully I will grow to like this group a little more as time goes on.
NEW - Added June 28, 2000 ~ I am kinda liking the teen storylines right now. I don’t know if that is because I am desperate to like something on days or not, but lately Salem High has been interesting. I am really looking forward to the last blast dance. I can’t wait to see Chloe all dressed up and see the reactions of everyone when she walks into the dance, especially Shawn, Jan, and Jason’s. I hope Jan and Jason don’t do anything dumb to ruin Chloe’s big night. Maybe if they do, Philip will stand up for Chloe. I doubt that, but you never know. The writers look like they are trying to pair these two together. I personally don’t care who ends up with who in the Shawn, Belle, Philip, Chloe group. If these four are paired though, where does this leave Mimi? I think maybe she will be paired with Brady if he ever returns and isn’t too old. That might be kind of interesting to see what Belle would think. Oh, I should also mention the Mimi storyline. This could very interesting if the writers do it right. I would like to see how much everyone’s relationship’s grows through this. Maybe then I would have an opinion of which couples I would want together.

Abe/Lexie/Brandon
NEW - Added April 15, 2000 ~ To be honest, I am not really interested in this storyline, but I am really glad they are giving Abe and Lexie a storyline. They have been on the show for a long time now and haven’t had a real storyline for years! It is about time they get some work! I wonder how trying to conceive a baby fits into the picture. I really do not think they will have a baby and that will cause problems in their marriage other than Brandon. I don’t understand why Abe won’t go through some tests to see why they can’t conceive. They have been trying to have a baby for years and it hasn’t happened so there must be something wrong. I think they should have some tests done or try to adopt. Abe might already have a child in Brandon, but I really don’t think that is the case some rumors indicate. Although, that may be interesting if the writers decide to go in that direction. I just think Brandon has it out for cops. I can’t believe he would blame the cops for his family problems. That just doesn’t make much sense to me. There must be something more to the story than the writers are revealing to us, specifically about Abe Carver that bothers him so much. Another thing that bothers me about this story is Lexie. I don’t understand how she can stick up for Brandon and not her husband. She has known her husband for years and Brandon for months and believes everything that comes out of his mouth. Lexie is too naïve and needs to wake up!!
Victor/Kate/Nicholas
NEW - Added April 15, 2000 ~ Well I guess this is a short-lived affair between Kate and Nicholas since Victor Webster is going on reoccurring status. I wonder if they are going to get rid of the character or maybe bring in another actor. The scenes between Kate and Nicholas were a little more than I wanted to see anyway. I really could care less if they get together or not and the same goes for Kate and Victor. Victor is a little old and Nicholas is a little young for her. She needs to find someone that is the appropriate age for her. And Victor has been so mean to her since his return, no wonder Kate is interested in Nicholas. One thing that does interest me is how Victor and Kate are going after Nicole. They make a great team and I just hope they succeed in getting their $5 million back. I can’t wait to see them throw Nicole out!!
