Thanks for all of your *encouraging* emails about updating our site. It pleases us that our visitors like our site so much that they keep coming back in anticipation of the new stuff we put on here. We love you guys for it! Your enthusiasm motivates us to keep this site up and running. And we greatly appreciate your understanding while we find the time to update once again.
However I would like to say one thing, and this goes out to all of the lame people out there who have nothing better to do except b*tch and moan about such trivial things as a site not being updated in a timely fashion…THIS IS *JUST* A SITE!! To be totally honest, we do this for our own enjoyment. And when it becomes cumbersome, we just don’t do it! I am not saying that we don’t normally enjoy it, but I am sure you all understand that we have lives outside of this site, and there are a lot of things that take precedence. Sorry, I don’t mean to insult your intelligence because I am sure that 99.99% of our visitors understand this fact. But there are those few exceptions. Here is some anecdotal info to prove this point…We just got a nasty email from some lady named Barb (gldnfwn@win.bright.net). And I'll let you all read it:
Today is September 15th. The last time this site was updated was Aug. 27th. You have a very nice site, but if it is not to be updated more timely, then I would suggest you abandon it. Or reduce it.
People look to counting on getting current information from the sites they visit. Tis extremely disappointing and frustrating to access a site and find nothing on it but old news from 3 weeks or a month ago.
If the site has become too cumbersome to attend to on a current basis, perhaps cutting back would help. this site has been bookmarked......and I am now removing it from same.
Okay, this lady makes me sad. I will say it again, THIS IS *JUST* A SITE! I can see her point in taking this site down if we aren’t going to update it, but who's to say that we won’t? Since this site’s inception on January 17th, this is the first time our site has been neglected for more than a week or two. I personally think that is a good record, especially if you compare it to MOST of the Days sites out there. And I believe that we *clearly* stated on *this updates page* that it would be a while until we would be able to update this site as we used to. Plus, why would we want to remove this site? There is quite a lot of info on here that doesn’t necessarily need to be updated on a regular basis.
So please, all of you lamers out there who want to email us and complain – please just save your energy. Nothing good will come out of complaining to us about it – we will just use our site as a forum to flame and ridicule you, and you simply will look like you have NO LIFE. Sorry folks, but that is just how it goes. I don’t mean to be nasty, but I hope you can understand where I am coming from because it is really frustrating to get emails like this. They serve no purpose. Okay now, I have wasted a lot of time here and I have to go study for a Microeconomics exam and start a paper for my Money and Capital Markets class. (oh joy) So to all of the wonderful people out there who have PATIENCE – God bless you! :o) And once again, sorry for sounding so cruel and thanks so much to our loyal visitors!
