Kyle Chandler was born in Buffalo, NY in 1965, on September 17. When he was 11, he and his family moved to Loganville, GA, where he grew up on a small farm. He attended the University of Georgia, and went on to star in the Broadway version of "Picnic", as Hal Carter, for which he was presented an Outer Critics Award. Soon after he was signed with a scout and moved to California.He had a recurring role in the Vietnam War-based show "Tour of Duty",as Pvt. William Griner. A year later Chandler was in the 1992 movie Pure Country, as the slimy Buddy Jackson. He went on to star in the ABC drama "Homefront", a post WWII show, as Jeff Metcalf. He can also be seen in the TV movies Convict Cowboy, and Sleep Baby, Sleep. Kyle's most recent movie was the 1998 film Angel's Dance, with James Belushi and Sheryl Lee. AND IF YOU DO, BE PREPARED FOR SOME VERY "UN- GARY" SCENES.] Kyle was recognized for his work as Gary Hobson and presented a Saturn Award in 1998. The 6'1" actor now resides in Los Angeles with his wife, Kathryn and their young daughter Sydney. Kyle is now starring in the movie A Shade of Gray, as Johnny Armstrong. Kyle can currently be seen as the love interest of Joan Cusack in the ABC sitcom "What About Joan?" The show started its run on March 27 at 9:30/8:30c. Could this be the end of Gary Hobson?
