Kimmy Gibbler

Kimberly Louise Gibbler is D.J. Tanner’s best friend. The two girls have been friends for almost their entire lives. Kimmy has a very unusual wardrobe, always says what’s on her mind, and never does her homework. But she’s also funny, outgoing and a loyal friend. So even though she usually gets on the nerves of the rest of the Tanner family, Kimmy and D.J. remain friends.



The part of Kimmy Gibbler is played by Andrea Barber.

Andrea Laura Barber was born on July 3rd 1976 in Los Angeles. She first acted in a stage production of “The King and I”. After that she played the part of Carrie Brady on “Days of Our Life” for more than three years. She’s also guest starred on several TV-shows, like “Growin’ Pains”, “The Twilight Zone” and “Our House”. She also did two TV-movies; “Do You Remember Love” (1985) and “The Leftovers” (1986).

In 1987 she get the part of Kimmy Gibbler on Full House. Kimmy first appeared in the third episode, and stayed on the show until the last episode, eight years later. Her favorite hobbies during her Full House years was to ride her unicycle, swim and play volleyball.

Andrea starred in the movie “The Skateboard Kid 2” in 1995. In 1999 Andrea graduated from Whittier College, where she studied English Literature and Speech Pathology. In 2000 she was working at Whittier as an assistant director of foreign studies, with plans to go to graduate school, to pursue a master’s degree in Women’s Rights.





Steve Hale

Steve first appears in the episode “Sisters in Crime” in the fifth season. In this episode D.J. has promised to baby-sit her sisters, but when Steve comes by and asks her to go to the movies with him, she comes along – and brings Stephanie and Michelle. Less than a year later Steve was back on Full House – this time as a regular member of the cast. While spending the summer in Spain, D.J. and Steve meet again, and when they come back to San Francisco they announce that they are “going steady”. Danny, and the rest of the family aren’t too happy about this, but later they all begin to accept Steve. Michelle even likes him so much she marries him! (Although when she finds out it was all a game she’s heart-broken).

In the episode “Love on the Rocks” in the seventh season, D.J. and Steve decide to break up, and just be friends. Shortly after this Steve leaves Full House, but he does return for the very last episode, where he takes D.J. to her prom.



The part of Steve is played by Scott Weinger, who was born on October 5th 1975. Besides being on Full House Scott has also starred in the movie “Police Academy 5” (1988), the TV-movie “The Shaggy Dog” (1994), the mini-series “Hemingway” (1988), the TV-series “Family Man” (1990), and done the voice of Aladdin in the different animated movies and TV-series about Aladdin. Scott has also done some guest appearances on shows like “Miami Vice” and “Life Goes On”. Between 1994-1997 he worked as a youth correspondent for “Good Morning America”.

Scott graduated in 1998 from Harvard University, where he majored in English and minored in French Litterature. He has lived in Paris, so he’s speaks French fluently.
