Field of Dreams
Me
and BROOKS ROBINSON.
He was great to be around, really easy to talk to. The only
time I batted while he was playing I hit a ground ball to him and he threw me out
at first. I grounded out to Brooks Robinson!!!
Buck
O'Neil
A pioneer, the first black coach in the major leagues. It was a joy to
hear him talk and see him interact with the fans.
Earl
Weaver.
This man can talk some baseball too. He was elected to the Hall of Fame
the next year and the first interview I saw of him after the election he was wearing
this Field of Dreams cap.
Sharing
some laughs with Julio Cruz.
A SUPER nice person. The next summer we went to Texas
to see a couple of games and were able to visit with him (he was coaching for Tulsa
then). We also went to a game in '97 in Pulaski, VA because he was managing there.
He always has a smile for us and is just a nice, fun guy to be around.
Lou
Brock and Jay Johnstone
Lou was a real gentleman, really good with the fans.
Jay
