!Disclaimer: See Part 1 Category: D/Jo Rating: PG Part 15 A few weeks later, getting closer to Christmas... Jack and Andie in Providence... Andie: You know, why are we even putting up a Christmas tree, Jack? Jack: Because it's Christmas and that's one of the traditions. Andie: Well, I'm certainly not feeling all that merry this holiday season. Jack: Andie, I know you feel like that because of the situation with Mom, but she's going to get better. She's in the best possible place right now. Andie: I know. I just wish she didn't have to be there. Especially during Christmas time. Jack: Andie, can I ask you a question? Andie: Sure. Jack: How about you come back to Capeside with me? And I'm not talking about these little two day visits either. I miss you. Our friends miss you. Andie: Jack, I can't. I think I should stay here. I like being here closer to Mom. Jack: Well, I see I'm not going to change your mind. How about at least coming to the Leery's Christmas Eve party? The whole gang will be there. Andie: Okay, Jack. Jack: Good. ( he puts the last ornament on the tree ) And the tree is done. What do you think? Andie: It's beautiful. Jack puts his arm around Andie... Jack: We may not have the merriest of Christmases, but we're going to have a happy new year. I just know it. ( he smiles and they look at the tree ) Leery's & Potter's Fresh Fish- Not many customers, Joey at the counter, drawing in a notebook... Bessie: I still can't believe we're part owners of this. The Leerys were so nice to include us. Joey: I was completely surprised. ( goes back to her drawing ) Bessie: What are you working on there, sis? Joey: Promise you won't say anything if I show you? Bessie: I promise. Joey hands her the drawing, it's a picture of a sign that reads: "Leery & Potter's Fresh Fish " Joey: I'm going to take this sketch to the same people who made the sign we have now and tell them to make one to look just like this. Hopefully, it can be done in time for Christmas. What do you think? Bessie: I think it's wonderful, Joey. What's with the daisies around it though? Shouldn't it be little fish? Joey: No. I like the daisies. Bessie: Since when? Joey: I just like them, okay? (she smiles ) Bessie: Okay. So, I guess you're getting back into the art thing? Joey: I guess so. Look at what I made for Dawson. ( she shows Bessie ) Bessie: Joey, that is beautiful. He's going to love it. Joey: Don't tell anybody about the sign, okay? I want it to be a surprise. Bessie: My lips are sealed. Dawson comes in... Joey puts her drawings in her backpack... Dawson: Hi guys. How are things going here? Bessie: They're okay. A little slow, but I'm sure that's because people are out holiday shopping. Dawson: Yeah. So, Joey ready to go study? Joey: Yep. I can't wait to get these finals over with. Dawson:Me too. Call the house if you need anything, Bessie. Dawson & Joey leave... Leery's House- Dawson and Joey walk in and see Gale in the kitchen... Dawson: Mom, what are you doing out of bed?! Gale: My doctor said I can't have any stress. I can be stress-free without having to be in bed all day. Dawson: Are you sure? Gale: Yes, I'm sure. See? I'm not even having morning sickness anymore. Joey: When is your due date, Mrs.Leery? Gale: Sometime in early May. Believe me, it can't get here sooner. Dawson:Just promise me you'll take it easy. Gale: I will, honey. Dawson & Joey go up to his room and start studying... Joey: Do you think it's a good idea to have the Christmas party here? It won't be too much stress for your mom? Dawson: No. Because she won't be doing anything. The adults are handling the food. We're all handling the decorations. No stress to her at all. Joey: Sounds good to me. ( she smiles ) I can' t wait til Christmas gets here. Dawson: Me too. Just like old times. He smiles at her, then they both look down in their books and continue studying.... The conclusion to the Christmas section coming soon, most probably tomorrow. :) Take care, Frances
