On Christmas Eve, Chase and August have their hands full working a robbery/murder in a department store, and the mayor has said neither one of them can go home until the case is wrapped up. With two of the robbers killed, the clues lie with the third, who's refusing to talk. Meanwhile, Chase is Judith's "Secret Santa" and tries to find her a Christmas gift, a mysterious woman keeps asking for James, and Chase's Porsche is stolen when August takes it to have it detailed as a Christmas present.
