Well, This episode was a dissapointment. Never this season have I been so bored out of my mind while watching an episode of LightSpeed Rescue. And you know what? I shouldn't have been. I mean, this was the big introduction of Queen Banshera! This episode should've been exciting and kept me on the edge of my seat! Instead, I was racing back to the computer between breaks to work on my website! I never do that when PR is on! Not until now...
Well, As said above, "Go Volcanic" was the 'big' intro of Queen Banshera. She appeared as a spirit form, which will be her form for about the next twenty or so episodes, I heard. She came back and basically told Diabolico and company to finish off Mariner Bay.
Well, after the opening credits rolled, We find Dana (who is really getting stiff lately) with her new "Volcanic energy measuring thing-a-mawhoey" about to go get some energy readings from Mount Jasmine. Why would she do this? Your guess Is as good as mine. Maybe she was bored. Anyway, since the others are having a snack break on the LightSpeed Rover, she decides to take a bus.
Well, la de da, In yet another ripoff of a sentai episode, A bank robber is on the bus. Well, In all truth the bank robber was probably the most exciting part of the episode. I loved when he actually pulled out a gun on the people. I never expected Saban to use that. Power Rangers is making leaps and bounds in maturity lately what with last week having like the most exciting and vicious-looking human/human fight ever and this week with the robber pulling out an actual gun on the passengers. If anybody ever says Power Rangers is just a stupid kids show again, I swear I'll grab them, sit them down and force them to watch these episodes (Even though this one bored me out of my mind, I have to admit, It did help to prove PR's maturity).
Well, to get back to the review, the robber eventually learns the error of his ways after Dana kicks his butt and saves his behind. (By the way, was anyone else NOT convinced when Dana tried to save the guy? I mean, could It look like she was trying any less?!). Anyway, the Rangers are reunited when Joel saves the bus from eminent doom, and they all race off to save the day, leaving Johnny Got-a-gun to drive the bus and redeem himself.
Well, after the obligatory Japanese Sentai footage use and zord battle, The Rangers unmorph and meet up with the bus passengers again. The bankrobber has redeemed himself by doing the right thing, but (In a surprising REAL-LIFE situation!!) he still has to pay and go to jail. (This was my favorite scene in the episode---or maybe I was just excited because It was finally ending...).
But, what's this? Back to Queen Bansheera's place we go. It seems the Queen has plans...evil plans that involve a creature with glowing eyes! Who is he? Well, If you watched the scenes from next time you should know. They just about gave It all away. Will next week's Super---trained episode of Lightspeed Redeem this series at the speed of light? Well, there's really only one way to know for sure...Tune In!
See Ya' Later!
