Oh My God!! This episode ROCKED!! Lightspeed Rescue this week more than made up for the travesty that was last week's episode. Rising From Ashes was an awesome all-around episode that I enjoyed every minute of. The only reasons that It did not get a 10.0 are listed below:
Vypra. Man, I had hopes that she would have improved by now. I mean, even Astronema had Improved by now! But Vypra...Well, Vypra sucks. The less scenes we have with her the better. And did anyone see the 'previously on Power Rangers' scenes during the beginning? Well, all I have to say Is that the editing crew made a good choice on cutting out her part when Queen Bansheera returned.
Ms. Fairweather. She's better than Vypra (who isn't?), but she did have a few shaky lines. Especially when the scientists were In the cave. A few of her lines seemed kinda fake In those scenes. But, she was good throughout the rest of the episode.
As If this episode didn't have enought going for It with the debut of the SuperTrain Megazord, It also had an awesome plot that helped to further the Joel/Fairweather coupling.
The basic plot of the episode (for you few who missed It): Fairweather and a crew go to investigate the mysterious rumblings In the volcano from last episode. Queen Bansheera resurects Magmavore and he comes out of the volcano. Fairweather's crew gets out, but she's trapped underneath the rubble. The Rangers come In the LightSpeed Megazord to do a little Magma-rear stomping, but Magmavore resurects TriFire from the last episode and they do the Ranger stomp. This causes the Queen to become weak (She used too much power) and she leaves the others again, threatening to replace Diabolico with Impus If he doesn't do away with the Rangers. The LightSpeed MZ gets beaten, right Into a crater and the Rangers must abandon to search out Ms. Fairweather. They find her, and she intros the new SuperTrain Megazord! They finish off Magma and TriFire, and all Is well.
Along with this were some cool Joel/Fairweather scenes (Hope those two get together), and a pretty good unmorphed fighting scene! This episode was chop full of action and I enjoyed It immensly.
And next week? Well, Let's just say the Rangers get their butts kicked, The Titanium way!
See Ya' Later!
