Wow! This was an awesome episode of "LightSpeed Rescue". I loved the action, emotion and mystery. This could become the best season of PR yet, but so far LG is still in the lead in my opinion.
First off, I just learned from Ecliptor17 in the PR newsgroup that this is Judd Lynn's 100th episode writing for PR. I'd like to congratulate Judd on a job well done thus far. Let's hope he continues to give us great episodes of PR for years to come.
First off, I like that the villians are beginning to get more screen time. Especially Vypra. She's pretty cool. But she does have some of the early Astronema qualities so far as acting. I have no doubts that she'll improve, though.
I loved the training sequence in the beginning with all of the Rangers. I thought the funniest part was when Chad and Joel held their stomachs after Captain Mitchell turned his back. The music was also cool in these scenes. I had no complaints about them. These scenes were very well done and the music matched well.
I liked the scene when Captain Mitchell confronted Carter about his "shooting before he thinks". This is a new concept---A Red Ranger who is too quick on the trigger. It would make for an interesting episode if he ever accidently shot an innocent bystander. Too bad, though. It probably won't be a used concept since Carter most likely learned his lesson in this episode.
The Fight Scenes continued in the tradition of Lost Galaxy by being fast and energetic. I loved all of the stunts that were pulled off. Especially by the Blue and Yellow Rangers. The fight between Red Ranger and Vypra was also cool.
You know, I believe this is the first time that the Rangers have fought in an underground area like on today's episodes.
The Zord fight was pretty awesome, but a bit on the short side. But I hear that GoGoV zord fights rule, so we'll just have to wait and see before giving a final opinion.
Overall, an pretty good episode with some great points. PRLR is showing promise.
See Ya' Later!
