PART FIVE
Miss Parker woke up early. She got out of bed, put her robe on and walked out into the livingroom. The red light on the phone was flashing letting her know she had voice mail. She picked up the phone and followed the directions to retrive her message.
"Good morning Miss Parker" It was Jarod. "I'm really touched, did you come all this wasy just to bail me out of jail??" he said playfully. "TOO LATE!!! I'm already out...let the games begin!!"
That was the end of his message. Moss Parker hung the phone up, lit a cigarette, and said "You're the first contestant Jarod".

Rachel and Jarod finally made it out of the hotel by 2 o'clock. They sat out to find the scenes of the murders, hoping to find something other had overlooked.
"Down here" Jarod said, leading her down an alley off of Royal St.
"This is where the first murder took place". Jarod pulled the dumpster out away from the building and squatted down to look at the ground.
Rachel took a deep breath as she saw a vision of a woman. She was sitting behind a desk, her hands moving around like she was speaking out of anger. There was a man sittiln in front of her, but all Rachel could see was the back of his head.
When the vision was over she looked down at Jarod. "Maybe our guy had a problem with these womenbecause they were in a position of power over him.'
"But there's no connection between these women, they all had different jobs, and as far as we know none of them knew each other" Jarod said.
Rachel opened the file she had made on the murders.
"Stephanie Cook, 32, was the president of First U.S.A. bank. She was found here at around 10:30 pm three weeks ago. Multiple stab wounds to the chest and abdomen, and one to the neck. No weapon, prints, fibers, NOTHING!"
Jarod stood up.
"We should start with bank records, maybe she turned him down for a loan," he paused, "What about the others?"
"Second victim, Kimberly Serrano, 28, was a lawyer at Serrano, Kurgis and Hart."
Jarod turned and looked at her. "Are you thinking what I'm thinking?"
"We cross reference the denied bank loan applicants against the clients at the law firm?"
"Right!!" Jarod said. "If your theroy is correct, this would tie these two together. What did the third victim do?"
"Veronica Matenopoulis, 30, she was a housewife. Mother of three." Jarod sighed, the idea of these children growing up without their mother made him want to catch this killer even more.
"Why kill her?" he asked.
"Wrong place, wrong time?" Rachel asked, unsure of her herself.
They walked in silence to the next scene. Again they found nothing.
"THIS IS A WASTE OF TIME!" Jarod yelled.
Rachel reached out and touched his arm. He looked at her. "I'm sorry,"
"Don't be" Rachel said, shaking her head, "It's o.k." Her hand went further down his arm and she took his hand into hers, and gave him a slight tug. "Come on."
They walked back down the alley and out onto Dauphine St. It was almost 4 o'clock, so Jarod suggested they grab an early dinner, since most of the banks closed at 4:30. They would go to the bank first thing in the morning, and then off to the law office.

Miss Parker, Aydney and Broost were walking down Bourbon St. She was growing tired of shoving Jarod's picture in peoples faces and getting the same answer. Ahe stopped to light her cigarette, leaning against a building.
"We're never giong to find Jarod like this."
There was a manstanding a few feet away staring at her. She noticed him, but looked away.
"Broots you're sure you checked EVERY hotel. and Jarod wasn't registered at any of them?"
"Yes, but I can check them again if-"
Miss Parker cut him off by shouting at the stranger, "Do you have a problem?"
"Uh...no. It's just, you're the BEST one I've ever seen."
"The best WHAT?" she asked.
He pointed up over her head and said, "Female impersonator."
Miss Parker turned around and looked up at the sign above her head. She was standing at the entrance of a bar where female impersonators performed. She reached back under her jacket as Broost turned his head so she couldn't see him laughing. Sydney grabbed her hands knowing she was reaching for her gun.
"Miss Parker!" Sydney said loudly.
"I'M GOING TO RIP HIS HEAD OFF!" She screamed as she lunged at the man. Sydney held on to her. He knew that she would beat the crap out of this man if she had the chance.
The frightende man stumbled backwards, turned and practically ran away. Miss Parker jerked away from Sydney.
"If either of you say a word I swear it'll be your last!" She stomped off. Broots and Sydney looked at each other, laughed quietly, and turned to follow her.
