Expecting the Unexpected

Part 1

Giles leaned back in his chair and sighed. These books that had been sent

from the Watches Council where irritating. Nothing made since. No wonder why

they had been lost for so long. No one wanted to read them. Of course he had

allowed them all to take a break tonight. But Buffy had pleaded with him.

After all she had just defeated a demon earlier that day. And he had given in

against his better judgment. Giles thoughts where interrupted by the sound of

the phone. He let out a relieved sigh and stood up to answer it.

"Hello?"

"Mr. Giles?" asked a man.

"Speaking."

"Have you received the books?"

"Yes I have. What is so important about them that I had to read them

immediately?" he asked irriateadly. He hated the Watchers Council.

"Most of them are just your usual prophecy books and most likely do not

pertain to you or your slayer. But we recovered them from a group of vampires

that has had the books in there possession for almost a hundred years. We

aren't sure why. But what we do know is that one of them holds very important

information in them. We just don't know which."

"So you send them to me? I'm sure the rest of you have better resources to

deal with the kind of nonsense in these books." Giles spat out.

"That is true. But we do not know when any of this will happen and we cannot

bother ourselves with things in those books that may not happen till a few

hundred years from now. We can only concentrate on the problems of the

present."

"I'm sure. Is that all?"

"Yes."

"When I can actually figure something out from this mess I shall let you

know."

"We would be grateful."

Giles said his good-byes then hung up. "Bastards." he mumbled and made his

way back to his chair.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Buffy, who's party is this?" Willow asked trying to keep up with her fast
paced friend who was heading towards a big house with people all around
"I have no idea. But hey I'm here, your here, Xanders here, everybody's here.
So does it really matter?" Buffy asked.
"No I guess not." Willow mumbled and pulled down on her short skirt. Buffy
smacked her hands away.
"If you don't stop it your going to yank the damn thing off." Buffy scolded
her.
"And you don't want to go flashing anyone do you Will?" Xander asked grabbing
her arm and pulling her along.
"No but I just don't want to be here. I mean shouldn't we have stayed with
Giles and helped him with all those books."
"Come on Willow!" Buffy linked her arm through Willows. "We just had a major
day of a demon trying to take over the world. Don't we deserve a break? And
it's summer to!"
"Yea and anyways those books stank." Xander added.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Oh dear." Giles gasped. He jumped up and headed over to the phone. He called

Buffys phone but got no answer. He then preceded to beep Buffy hoping she

would be logical enough to have brought the blasted thing with her. After a

few minutes he had given up and decided the best thing to do would be to beep

Willow.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Willow felt a vibrating on the side of her hip and looked down and pulled it
off of her skirt. She squinted at the number on there little screen trying to
make it out.
"Damn alchohol." she cursed and put her drink down and walked into a better
lit area. When she realized what the number was she rushed back over to Buffy.
"Buffy!!!" Willow yelled over the loud music.
"Huh!" she yelled back.
"Phone!" Willow screamed.
Buffy stared at her for a moment then nodded and pulled it out of her purse.
Willow snatched it from her and ran outside into the street away from the
people and the music. She dialed the number quickly and pressed it up to her
ear. She didn't have to wait long for Giles to pick up.
"Willow?!?"
"Yea Giles it's me. What's so important you put 911?" she asked worriedly.
"These books. I found something. A prophecy."
Willow groaned. Another prophecy. "Well what is so important then Giles. Does
it have to do with Buffy? End of the world?"
"No nothing like that." he said.
Willow let out a relieved sigh. "Okay so then if we are all not going to die
why is it so important?"
"Willow this is the strangest thing I have ever heard of. I can't discuss it
now. I need you all to come back."
"But Giles." Willow whined. The alcohol wasn't leaving any room for the
logical side of Willow.
"Willow you don't seem to understand. This prophecy contradicts everything we
have ever known about slayers and vampires. And could change the future of
them all."
Willow sobered up quickly realizing the urgency of the situation. "Okay. I'll
get them there as soon as I can."
"Okay hurry." then the line went dead.
Willow didn't waste any time. She ran back to the house at top speed and
found Buffy and Xander at the same place they where before with a few other
people. She grabbed ahold of them both and dragged them quickly out of the
house. The whole way they where yelling and asking her what was wrong. Once
she was far enough away from the party she let them go. "We need to go. I
just talk to Giles."
"Oh man." Xander moaned.
Buffy groaned. "What is it?"
"Prophecy." Willow stated.
"Okay so what. Tomorrow we will figure out what is going to happen. How to
not make it happen and go on with the rest of our lives. We have done it
before. Now lets go back to the party."
Willow grabbed them both and pulled them back. "No!!!" she screamed causing
them to whirl around.
"You don't understand. This is different. I don't understand why. But it just
is. It doesn't have anything to do with you." Willow said referring to Buffy.
"And it doesn't have anything to do with the world ending. But he was still
really worried. So it had to have been something bad."
Buffy sighed. "All right fine lets go." she said and they walked to Xanders
car.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"We're here G-man!" Xander yelled as he opened door.

Giles didn't respond and kept trying to understand this unbelievable prophecy.

Xander threw himself down on the couch before Willows could sit down. She

scowled at him and took a seat in one of the chairs. Buffy took the chair

closest to Giles and tried to make sense of what he was reading.

"So what's the deal Giles?" Buffy asked.

"This is incredible" he mumbled. Everything was starting to make sense. When

he had first started reading it he thought it was a new race of vampires. But

he was wrong. It was the total opposite. It was better.

"Well, tell us already." Xander said and sat up finally getting interested in

it himself.

"Well, the watchers council sent me these books that they say have been in

the possession of vampires for almost a hundred years. And they think one of

them may contain vital information. And I think they are right. And by

coincidence I think I came across that information in the first one I opened."

"Well,?" Buffy urged on as he paused to look back at the book.

"Oh um well this book contains many things that have happened while you where

the slayer. Things that I have found in other books and things that werent

even in there that probably would have helped us out if I would have had this

book a few years ago. It even contradicts some of the prophecies in other

books. For example when I had found out that the master was to kill you. In

this book it doesn't say that. In simple words it pretty much says that you

don't die and are revived." he said and glanced at Xander.

Xander eyebrows shot up. "Yea. I am prophecy man." he said proudly.

"It even mentions you and Angel and the process of him losing his soul and

getting it back through Willow."

Buffy was speechless. "You mean that a lot of things could have been avoided

if we would have had this book?" Buffy whispered.

"Maybe. But it could be that we where never meant to lay our hands on this

book till now." he said softly.

"But Giles this isn't going to change anything. You said there was something

important in it that would be vital to like the future or something." Willow

said impatiently.

"Well, everything in this book has occurred already except for one last part.

Which is at the very end. So it is like all of these events have led up to

this one major event." he explained.

"Okay and that is?" Xander asked impatiently.

"Well, unless I misread it, and might I add the disturbing nature of this

text caused me to reread it over and over again, it tells of a new slayer."

"But Giles there is always a new slayer." Buffy said not understanding the

importance of it.

"You misunderstand my meaning. A new kind of slayer."

"Wh-what kind of slayer?" Buffy asked.

"It says that the slayer will be born by a human but fathered by a vampire.

Meaning the slayer will be part demon and part human." he explained shakily

the idea still fresh in his mind.

"What?!?!" Buffy yelled. "That is crazy! Slayers fight vampires! How can you

have a slayer that is half of the same thing she is going to be born to

fight!"

"Buffy calm down. I have no idea. And I know it makes no sense. But-"

Buffy cut him off. "And not to mention the fact that a vampire can't have

children!" Buffy yelled angrily thinking specifically of Angel. It was unfair

someone else would be able to.

Giles looked surprised for some reason that had escaped him. He had been

concentrated on the fact the slayer would be part vampire. "I-I have no

idea." He was at a loss for words. And Buffy noticed it to because she sat

back down and shut her mouth.

"Giles who will the father and mother be?" Willow asked trying to get a

handle on the situation.

"Unfortunately I have no idea. But there is more. A lot more. But I am

missing a page. He held up the book to show them the ripped out section. So

all I know is that this year on the 6 month on the 6 day a human will become

pregnant by a vampire. That's all I know."

"Giles this is May. The 5 month. And today is the 25. So you are saying in

over a week this is going to happen?" Xander asked.

"Yes it is."

"How do we find them." Buffy asked ready for action.

"We cannot go out and find them. We know nothing. I can only guess that

through some way we shall run across them, or else why would there be this

book."

"But Giles what if there identity is on the last page?" Willow asked.

"Then all we can do is hope by some coincidence we discover who they are."

he said solemnly.

Part 2

Spike cursed himself silently over and over again. He couldn't understand his

logic. Why was he going back to Sunnyhell? He didn't want to but at the same

time here he was driving in the middle of the night back to the bloody place.

Spike saw the welcome to Sunnydale sign pass by and he stepped on the brakes.

And slammed his fists on the steering wheel. He put the car in park and

jumped out.

"Son of a bitch!!!" What the hell was he doing here? He walked over to the

sign and kicked it. "What the hell am I doing here?!?!" he yelled up to the

sky. He stood there for a moment trying to persuade himself to turn back now.

But it was to late. He growled and got back into the car and drove into

Sunnydale.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Spike stumbled into the factory and slammed the door behind him. He looked
around and laughed. It was the exact same. He stepped on one of Dru's stupid
dolls purposely as he made his way to the bed and to an object that caught
his eye. He didn't touch it that was for sure but picked up the chain that it
was on. But he knew what it was from. It was from when he kidnapped the witch
and wanted her to do the spell get Dru back. Man he was crazy then. Actually
wanting that nutsy bitch back. He sat on the bed and studied the unknown
object carefully. For some reason it mesmerized him. He dropped it into his
pocket and brought the bottle of hard liquor back to his lips. Before he
could poor any down he brought it back down as weird thoughts started to hit
him. He threw the bottle against the wall. All that was going to do was make
him a blithering idiot. He had to think for the next night.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Spike walked down the street happily the next night. Everything seemed right

and it seemed like nothing would go wrong. To bad peaches wasn't in town.

That would make it even more fun. But maybe he would come back when he found

out Spike was back in town.

After he had had a decent meal he had decided to go search for his pal the

slayer. He knew she was in college now so it would probably be his best bet

to search for her around there.

"Oh man this is to perfect." he said as he saw the slayer and her friend

wandering through the cemetery. He reached into his pocket to make sure it

was still there and then made his way over to them quite loudly.

Buffy heard the footsteps and turned around and opened her mouth to speak but

not a word came out.

"Speechless I see slayer. Now that's a first."

Buffy glared and got herself back together. "What the hell are you doing

back?"

"The truth? I have no fucken clue." he said and laughed. "But I thought while

I was in town why not drop by and visit some old friends. So when was the

last time I was with you three. Lets see the last time I saw you was with

soul-boy. But he is gone now right. Ah well. Loves a bitch aint it?"

"Spike..." Buffy warned him.

He ignored her and turned to face the boy that was standing next to Buffy at

the same time holding another girl behind him. "And the last time I saw you

you where out like a baby. Not much for protecting are you?"

Spike cocked his head to the side to get a better look at the girl that was

standing close to Xander. "And how are you Red?" he asked sincerely making

Buffy a little suspicious at the kindness of his voice. "We didn't part under

good terms now did we. I must apologize for that. I was loves bitch then. But

after taking a trip around memory lane last night I found something that

should bring back memories." he reached into his pocket and pulled out the

same object from last night but this time it was wrapped in cloth.

Willow couldn't think. She just watched him argue with Buffy and talk. And

when he finally got to her she was captivated by him. When he pulled the

object out and held his hand out she immediately stepped forward to take it

form him not even thinking of the danger.

Spike saw the slayer jump at him when she noticed Willow step towards him. He

had expected this. He kicked her in her stomach making her fall into Xander

bringing them both to the ground. If he had wanted to take Willow now they

couldn't stop him. Willow didn't seem to notice the short fight and when she

had stepped up to him she slowly grabbed the object in his hand.

Buffy watched it all almost as if it was in slow motion. Willows slow advance

up to Spike and placing her hand on the object in Spikes hand and then

lifting it away. Spike made no move to grab her or break her neck or

anything. He just stood there patiently. He put his hand down slowly as not

to scare Willow away. She backed away from him slowly. When Buffy had finally

gotten up Willow had unwrapped it from the cloth. She held up a chain in

front of her face and opened her mouth to speak but nothing came out.

"Willow what is it?" Xander asked pulling himself up.

"I-It's my cross. I had lost it when Spike had kidnapped us." she explained

and dropped it into her hand and gripped it tightly as if it held some

important meaning to her.

Buffy went over to Willow and pushed her behind her. "What is the deal Spike?"

"No deal. Just thought I'd say hello and drop that off." he smiled cockily.

"Well, be seeing you!" he said and walked off not even looking back.

Xander shook his head. "I don't get it. I mean was this just something to

scare us?"

"I have no idea." she looked at Willow who was still not saying anything. "I

think we should talk to Giles." she said and grabbed Willows arm,

"Of course. Where else do we go when we are facing trouble." he said and

grabbed the stakes that had been dropped. "Shall we?" he asked and held out

his arm.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He really was crazy going up to the slayer like that all by himself. Why
anyway? To cause some trouble? No, he could have done better then that. The
only reason he had went was to give that damn kid back her cross. Of all
things he was giving back a cross. He hadn't realized how crazy the idea was
till now. What was wrong with him? And her! She wasn't even scared! She just
casually walked up to him and took it from him not even noticing her other
two friends. Of all of them she should have been the scaredest. She should
have been cowering behind the slayer. Not walking up to him. The weirdness of
the whole situation was driving him crazy. It was like he was under someone
else's control. He growled. If he was someone was going to die. He stopped in
his tracks when he smelled a human. That's what he needed a decent spot of
violence to clear this whole thing up.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Giles where are you?" Buffy yelled as they entered his house.

"Back here." he yelled.

"Buffy I swear I am not possessed!" Willow yelled.

Giles looked up from a book to see Buffy dragging Willow and Xander close

behind. "What is going on here?"

"I don't know that is why we are here. We had a wonderful run in with our old

time friend Spike." Buffy said and sat Willow down on the couch with her.

"Spike? What is he doing back?"

"Giles I am the slayer. Not research gal okay? I ask the questions you

answer. Not the other way around. Now if you will let me continue." she

paused and continued when he nodded. "He just came up to us and started

chatting away remembering the last time he had saw each of us. Like he saw me

with Angel and Xander when he was knocked out at the factory. You know when

he kidnapped him and Willow for that spell. And then he got to Willow and he

said he had found something. He pulled it out and held it out in his hand and

Willow just walked up to him!"

Giles turned to Willow. She bit her lip and looked down.

"But that's not all. I tried to attack him and he kicked me pretty hard

knocking me into Xander. So Willow not even noticing this whole thing just

took it from him and backed up to where she was before. But Spike didn't even

try to hurt her! So it turns out it was Willows cross that she had lost in

the factory when Spike had kidnapped her. Of all things for him to bring back

to her. A cross!" Buffy said rather loudly.

"Willow what is going on?" Giles asked her calmly.

"I don't know Giles. It was so weird. For that one moment nothing seemed to

matter. I actually had this feeling that Spike wouldn't hurt me. The only

thing I knew at that moment was to walk up to him and get my cross. I wasn't

thinking vampire. Bad. And I am not possessed." she said and turned to Buffy.

"Well, I couldn't come up with a better explanation. You said so yourself the

only thing you where thinking about was getting that cross form Spike. You

where lacking any rational thought." she explained.

"But I was still Willow! Just not rational Willow. I was spaced out Willow."

she said confused at her own words.

"Okay I think we can rule out possession. But something weird is going on

here." he said sure of himself.

Buffy stared at him disbelievingly and Xander gapped. "And this is what we

came here to find out? That something weird was going on?" No one responded.

"Well, at this rate I could get into the watchers council. Anyone could say

something weird is going on." Xander said and let out a sigh and plopped down

in a chair.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Part 3
"Well, good news Will." Buffy said walking through the front door of there
apartment they shared. "No sign of Spike. Maybe we could be lucky and he was
just passing through and decided to give us a scare."
"Oh." Willow said. She had been feeling a little spacey all day.
"Oh? I thought you would be glad considering his odd behavior towards you."
Buffy said and headed towards her room and started changing to go out that
night.
"Oh no I am glad. But it was all so weird." she said following Buffy into her
room and sat on the bed waiting for her to finish up.
"Yea I would say there was a weirdness factor in there somewhere." she said
as she pulled her shirt over her head and picked up two dresses from a chair.
"Which one?" she asked and held them both up.
Willow pointed to the one on the left. "But I doubt that he is gone?"
"Why?"
"Because this is Spike. Not your vampore."
"Yea I would have to agree." she said from inside the closet. "Willow where
are my blue shoes?"
Willow pointed to under the dresser.
"Ah. But I think you are right. That isn't Spike. Something is going on."
"So then what do we do?" Willow asked.
"Party." Buffy said as she stood up. She walked over to Willow and pulled her
up off the bed. "Come on responsible one. You drive."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"I cannot stand this anymore!" Willow screamed at all the people surrounding

her. Buffy was going to drive her to be a raving drunk with all the alcohol

she had been consuming at these damn parties lately. She pushed her way

through the thick crowd and breathed in a breath of fresh air when she made

her way outside. "Thank god." she walked over to her car and called Giles to

make sure everything was okay. She was actually hoping he had found out the

world was going to end. Something to make them leave this stupid party. But

instead he was researching about this new slayer. He had a reason to though.

There was only a couple days left till some poor woman out there became

pregnant by a vampire. She laid her head back against the seat and closed her

eyes not willing to go back to the party just yet.

How could it happen? A human woman becoming pregnant by a male vampire. She

felt sorry for her. A demon. It had no soul. Didn't care for others. So what

would happen to that poor woman?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Spike waited patiently. She couldn't stay there forever. He was going to get
to the bottom of this one way or another. And then maybe he would have some
fun in-between. Then he caught himself before his thoughts went any further.
Fun with Willow? Why the hell would he get such an idea?
"That'll have to wait." he told himself when he saw her step out of the car.
He walked quickly up to her and reached her just as she closed the door. He
wrapped one arm around her waste and put the other over her mouth. "Alone at
last."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Willow tried her best to scream but it was muffled by the hand of her mouth.

"I am going to remove my hand from your mouth. If you scream I will break

your neck. Simple enough pet?"

She nodded her head quickly.

"Okay good." he spun her around and pushed her against the car placing both

arms on either side of her keeping her from escaping.

"Wh-what do you want?" she asked and cursed herself silently for not having

any crosses or stakes on her.

"Actually I think I should ask you the same thing pet."

Curiosity overcoming her fear she decided to find out what he meant. "What do

you mean?"

"Well, for some reason I am here against my better judgment giving you back

your bloody cross. And then where do I find myself but a few feet away from

the slayer having a conversation with one of her chums when she could very

well come out and stake my ass." He leaned closer only inches away from her

face and said just above a whisper. "So why don't you tell me why I am doing

all of this."

"I don't know. Why would you think I would know?" she asked nervously. Not

form fear but from the lack of space between the two of them. His body was

firmly against hers and his face was a couple of inches away.

"Because you seemed to be acting a little odd yourself that night. Not even

afraid of me. You didn't even notice when I kicked your precious slayer. You

just walked up to me all casual. Now all I can figure is that the same reason

I am acting all crazy is the same reason you did what you did. So tell me

again what is going on." he demanded losing his patience.

Willow glared at him. "I dont know. Maybe I am the one that should me

thinking the same. And I can't believe I actually walked up to you, a crazy

psychotic killer." he growled warning her to back off but she didn't notice.

"Maybe I should be suspecting you of something. After all it was you that

confronted me. Not the other way around." Willow watched him stare angrily at

her and let worry start to settle back in. To her surprise though he smiled.

"Just asking pet. No need to get upset."

"Well-well are you going to let me go?" she stuttered.

He raised his eyebrows. "Well, actually I never gave that some thought. What

do you think?" he whispered the question.

"I think you should let me go." she said as bravely as she could. Somehow in

just a few seconds he had seemed to have gotten closer. He looked like he was

about to say something when he turned his head towards the party and frowned.

"Well, pet I think we will have to cut this conversation short."

She gave him a confused look and opened her mouth to speak but was cut off by

his mouth on hers. For some reason she responded. She felt his tongue slide

along her bottom lip and she opened her mouth to him. She responded fiercely

to the kiss not even realizing what was going on. But unfortunately he pulled

away leaving her breathless but wanting more. He was still only a couple of

inches from her face.

He dropped his arms from either side of her and backed away smirking. "Be

seeing you pet." he turned and ran off into the night.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Buffy woke the next morning with a splitting headache. "Oh god help me." she
said as she sat up.
"Having problems?" Willow asked brightly from the bathroom.
"Willow stay back. Your happiness is painful. Why are you so happy?" she said
and laid back down.
"Oh I don't know could it be that I didn't have as much to drink as two
people last night?" Or maybe because she was kissed by and extremely hot
vampire. Which for some reason was leaving her glowing with enough happiness
for 3 people?
"Speaking of. Where is Xander? We didn't drop him off last night did we?"
"No." Willow walked into Buffys room and sat on the bed. "He crashed in my
room and a slept in here. He is still in there though sleeping like a baby."
"Lucky him. Now go away. I am going back to sleep." she said and pulled the
blanket back up over her head.
Willows walked over to the window and opened up the curtains. She heard Buffy
groan and then turn over on her stomach to escape the light. Willows walked
over and yanked the blanket off the bed. "No can do. Giles called thirty
minutes ago. Today is the fifth Buffy. One more day. Research time."
Buffy pulled the pillow over her head and spoke from under it. "But we have
been researching! Giles said we are missing a page. What else can we do about
it?"
"Well, we can't just give up Buffy." she said and yanked the pillow off of
her head.
"Uh! Fine! Go get Xander up then. If I can't sleep neither can he." she
mumbled and sat up.
"I could be doing that now if you would get your ass out of bed." she said
and walked out of the room to get Xander up.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Giles look I know you don't want to just give up but chances are we are not

going to find anything unless a vampire decides to come by and bring us that

missing piece of paper." Buffy said after she shut the current book she had

been searching through.

"Giles unfortunately I have to agree with Buffy. It would probably be easier

to go out and question human women if they have been getting horizontal with

a vamp." Willow said. Xander laughed. That wasn't really Willow speak.

"I know. I was just hoping we would come across something helpful. Why don't

you all leave and come back later when the suns goes down." he let out a

defeated sigh. "But keep your eyes open for anything."

"All right Giles. See ya at sunset." Buffy said and left with the others

following behind her.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Willow?"
"Huh?"
"I have been thinking about this new slayer thing." Buffy admitted.
"Oooo. Wow Buffy you where thinking?" Xander mocked.
She elbowed him in the stomach.
"What about it?" Willows asked.
"Well, we don't know anything about this new slayer. How do we know that
everything will be all great? I mean it will be half vampire. How do we know
that this slayer can be trusted?"
"You trusted Angel didn't you?"
"Well, yea." Buffy admitted.
"Well, I am guessing the slayer will be like that. You just keep thinking of
the vampire part. There is a human part."
"Yea I guess so."
"K. Good. Buffy?"
"Huh?"
"Vamp." she pointed to a hand coming out of a grave.
Buffy brightened and ran over there.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Spike watched form a safe enough distance not to be noticed by the slayer. He

just wanted to watch and assure himself for some reason that she was still

there and safe. Vamp activity had risen in Sunnydale lately. And so had the

killing rate. And for some reason there was a rumor going around that most of

the deaths had for some reason been aimed at woman. He couldn't find out why

either. Most vampires wouldn't talk to him anymore. So he had few connections.

But for some reason he found himself hear checking up on the girl. Knowing

she was with the slayer brought some relief to him. But surprisingly they

hadn't run into to many vamps that night as he followed them.

As the slayers went through her rounds he found out that Willow had obviously

not told the slayer about the other night. Which was a good thing. The last

thing he needed was a pissed off slayer on his ass. He had went there to find

out what was going on and wound up kissing the damn girl. Not to mess with

her mind or as a joke but because he had found the need to. But of all the

damn girls in Sunnydale he picked the slayers friend! It was official. He had

lost it. He could expect to be dust in a few weeks. But he still couldn't

make himself leave.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Part 4
Willow hurried out of her car. It was kind of chilly that night for some
reason. Buffy and Giles had both insisted on Willow and Xander staying home
that night. The vampire traffic seemed to be really high that night and Giles
seemed to think it was because of the prophecy. After all the vamps would
know about it considering they have had the books in there possession for a
long time.
Willows stopped in her tracks when a body stepped out in front of her. "Hello
pet."
Willow didn't even scream it was no use. Instead she just stood there and
waited for whatever he had planned.
"What no screaming or running?" he asked almost disappointed.
"It won't do know good will it?" she asked for some reason not phased at all
about the whole situation.
"Probably not." he grabbed her arm and pulled her towards her apartment. When
they reached the door he instructed her to unlock. "Invite me in." he ordered
firmly.
Willow inhaled deeply knowing that had to be coming. Was he going to kill her
and leave her own Buffys bed? It was a possibility. But for some reason she
was rather calm about the whole thing. "Come in."
He stepped in and pulled her with him. He surveyed the surroundings and
nodded. "Pretty nice. A little to happy for my taste."
"What do you want?" she asked directly.
"Well, pet I have no clue. I went out to find myself a snack and I found
myself in front of your apartment. Which I find rather odd considering I had
no idea where you lived. And then I figured it had to be fate. How could I
pass up such a great opportunity" he said casually and sat down on the couch.
"An opportunity to do what?" she asked. He patted the cushion next to him and
she found herself sitting down next to him without the least bit of fear.
He laughed. "I have no bloody clue! I just figured it would come to me. But I
guess while I am here I think we should discuss a few things. As for what the
hell is happening?" he asked harshly.
"What do you mean?" she asked innocently knowing damn well that he meant that
kiss the other night.
"Well, let me refresh your memory. Two nights ago. Me you kiss. And you might
I add where quite willing right? Or was a wrong?"
She didn't respond.
"That's what I thought. And want to know what else I actually found myself
worrying that with all the new vamps coming here that you would actually get
bloody hurt!" he stood up and started pacing in front of her. "Last night I
even checked up on you following you and that damned slayer! Why the hell am
I endangering my life! If that bloody girl found out about this I would have
a stake sticking out of my heart right now!" he stopped in front of her and
grabbed her by the arms and pulled her up roughly. "So tell me why the hell
do I all of a sudden have feelings for you!" he yelled and growled.
Willow felt like someone had just kicked her in her gut. His last statement
just blew her away. Spike had feeling for her? Her of all people? He really
must have a death wish. Buffy would kill him. And to surprise her more she
found that she had feelings for him to. She didn't know why any of this was
happening. But what she did know is that she felt an incredible need for him
all of the sudden. "I-I don't know." she sobbed. The whole situation was
confusing. "I don't know why you have feeling for me or why for some reason I
have feeling for you." she said quietly as tears started to run down her face.
Spike felt his anger being replaced by compassion. He let go of the firm grip
he had on her arms and brought his hands up to her face gently wiping the
tears away.
She closed her eyes and shuttered at his touch. Without warning he put one
arm gently around her waste and the other hand went behind her neck tilting
it slightly back to look at him. She opened her eyes to look strait into his.
And with any rational thought left he closed remaining space left between
them and kissed her.
He didn't know what was going on but what was there to stop him? Well, yea if
the bloody slayer was to open that door right now that would stop him but
with all the vampires out tonight that wasn't going to be happening anytime
soon. So to hell with it he decided. He didn't know where this was going to
end but decided he wasn't going to end it. He felt her open her mouth to him
and he entered her warm mouth. After a few moments he pulled away from her
and studied her face. It was flushed beautifully from the kiss. She was
staring right back at him obviously unsure of what to do. He raised his
eyebrows humorously.
Willows took that as a challenge and wrapped her arms around his neck and
pulled him back down to her for another kiss.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Hello?"

"Angel?"

"Yes?"

"This is Giles."

"Giles? Um what do you need?"

"I have gotten my hands on this prophecy and I think I am going to need your

help." he said nervously. He never thought he would be talking to the vampire

again.

"Giles I am kind of busy here. Is it really that important?" Angel asked. It

wasn't that he was busy. He would drop everything in a second if there was a

real problem. He just didn't want to go back to Sunnydale.

"Angel I would not be calling you right now if it wasn't. I understand your

reasons for not wanting to come back. But we need your help desperately."

"All right. I will leave tomorrow night. Do I bring Cordelia?" Angel asked.

Giles smiled at the thought of the girl. Although she rarely brought any help

to the group it would be nice to have her around. And he was sure Xander

would appreciate it. "Yes, bring her to. Hurry. When you get here I shall

explain everything."

They said there goodbyes and hung up.

Giles leaned against the back of the couch and closed his eyes. Tonight

everything was going to change.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Somehow they had gotten to her bedroom. Willow though it was her leading him
there. But it didn't matter either way. The rough hungry kisses continued the
whole time but the situation itself didn't seem to hit Willow till she felt
his hand start to slide up her shirt. She jumped at the feeling of his hands
causing him to pull away.
"You better say no now before it is to late." he warned her. He wasn't sure
if he would be able to stop himself anyway.
Willows didn't respond. She knew her decision. She reached down to the hem of
her shirt and pulled it over her head showing her obvious decision.
Spike just stared down at her. He hadn't though she would be 'that' forward.
He didn't utter another word. He pulled his shirt over his head and wrapped
his arms around her waste pulling her to him and kissed her fiercely on the
lips.
Willow wrapped her arms around him letting her hand slide up his back feeling
every muscle and groove. She felt so rushed unable to wait. When she felt him
start to undo the clasp on her bra she reached down to his pants and tried
her best to undo his them. But the lack of space and the shaking of her hands
wouldn't let her.
When he had undid the clasp to her bra he heard her growl from frustration.
He laughed into her mouth and reached down in-between and undid his pants.
Willows pushed them down quickly and while he stepped out of them she threw
off her bra. She went to kiss him but he stopped her and held her away from
him taking in the beautiful site of her. Willow blushed at his roaming eyes.
He pulled her to him and kissed her lightly on the lips and continued with
light kisses and nibbling down her neck and to her breasts. He wrapped one
arm around her waste and leaned her back. He took one nipple in his mouth
while his hand massaged the other.
Willows arched her back and moaned. If Spikes arm wouldn't have been wrapped
around she would have surely fallen to the ground. She combed her fingers
through his hair and held him to her. She pouted though when he stopped. But
he quickly replaced his mouth on hers at the same time leading her towards
the bed. He undid her shorts and pulled them off quickly along with her
panies. She took the hint and grabbed ahold of the elastic on his boxers and
yanked them off leaving them skin against skin.
Spike laid her on the bed and quickly followed her. Willow could hardly stand
it any longer. Things where progressing so slowly she thought she was going
to explode. Spike maybe realized it to because one minute his mouth was on
hers and then the next it was descending down her chest to her stomach and
even further. Willow gasped when he reached his goal. He alternated between
sucking and nibbling on her clit. She wrapped her hand in his hair and did
her best to stay still but couldn't control herself. He finally had to resort
to holding her legs down.
Spike smiled to himself that he was driving her this crazy. Although he knew
he wasn't that sane at the moment either. Her core was already tight and wet
and he knew it wouldn't be long. He wouldn't be able to last that much longer
either. He was already hard himself. He stop his torture on her and moved
back up her body and claimed her lips in his leaving her breathless when he
pulled away.
"Spike please." she pleaded with him.
He took that as an obvious sign that she was ready and entered her with one
sharp thrust. She whimpered at the wonderful feeling of him inside her. The
last person she had been with was Oz and that was a while ago. The needing of
all those months being met in one moment. Once she adjusted to him he started
to move inside of her getting quicker each time as she met him thrust for
thrust. When he felt her start to tighten around him he thrusted into her
harder and faster.
Willow threw her head back as she felt herself clamp down on him and screamed
out his name as she came. Spike pounded into her as quickly as he could, his
orgasm following quickly behind hers.
And so the prophecy begins.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Part 5

Willow opened her eyes at the sound of the slamming door. She jumped up out

of the bed and all of last nights events rushed back to her. "Oh shit." she

whispered. She saw the sunlight seeping through the blinds and new Spike was

gone. She heard an angry female voice and quickly ran into the bathroom and

wrapped a towel around herself. She walked into Buffys room as casually as

she could.

"Hey Buffy. You just got in?"

"Yea." she mumbled and yanked off her shoes and threw them at the wall. "You

getting ready to take a shower?" she asked.

Willow nodded. "What's wrong?"

"Well, a number of things. The vampires last night where terrible. I can't

count how many people I saved last night. And to top it all off I arrive back

at Giles house and I find out that he called Angel asking for help! And Angel

is heading down tonight!" she yelled angrily.

"Oh man." Willow whispered.

"Yea your telling me." she went up to the dresser and started yanking a brush

through her hair.

Willows thoughts where more along the lines of Spike. Would Angel be able to

tell? She didn't pay attention to Buffys continuing cursing. She turned

around and head back to the bathroom.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Willow went as fast as her car could go towards the factory. At least that's
where she thought he would be. Or still be. Of course now she was worried.
Worried that last night was nothing to him when it was the world to her.
Maybe he just picked up and left.
When she finally arrived her heart was in her throat. Would he be glad to see
her? Would he kill her? She had no clue. But she knocked loudly on the door
anyway.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Spike awoke to the insistent pounding on the door. Whoever it was was in a

hurry. "Who the hell?" No one knew he was here. He morphed into game face

then got up and went to the door. He opened it slowly and stood behind the

door waiting. When the person was in he slammed the door and growled only to

be responded by a scream. "Bloody hell! Willow what the hell are you doing

here?" he asked and went back to his human face. She just stared at him with

fear in her eyes. He grabbed her arm gently and led her down the steps. He

sat her on the bed and stood in front of her patiently.

"I-I thought you where gonna-" she couldn't finish.

"No but what did you expect me to do pet?"

She nodded.

"Why are you here?" he asked suspiciously.

She let out a deep breath and rubbed her eyes. "Do you plan on staying here?"

she asked regaining her composure.

"Maybe." he responded. "Why?"

"Well, um I think there is something you should know."

"Well, bloody hell tell me already." he said getting impatient.

She got up from the bed and backed away from him.

Spike watched her move away from him and whatever it is she came to tell him

must be bad.

"Okay it's like this. There is this prophecy. And we need help so um Giles he

uh called Angel. Who is heading down here tonight."

Spike growled at the sound of his sires name. He wouldn't have minded him

coming before but now.... Spike death was certain. If Angel and Buffy found

out about Willow they would nail his ass to a cross and leave him in the sun.

He waited a moment before speaking. "You came here to warn me?" She nodded.

He was surprised. She had actually come to warn him. Meaning she didn't want

him hurt. Screw Angel and the slayer. They could kiss is ass. He walked up to

her and took her face in his hands. "Pet I am not going anywhere."

She let out a relieved sigh. "Good." she admitted. She looked at him

expectantly. She didn't have to wait long. He brought his face down and

kissed her.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Willow sped to the library. "Dammit!" She couldn't believe she had done that!
She had sex with Spike two times that day! Of course she had fallen asleep
and now it was almost midnight! Buffy was going to be worried. And she had
promised Buffy she would be there for her when Angel arrived. He was probably
there by now! "Shit!" When she reached her destination she ran out of her car
and into the library but she couldn't stop herself in time when she had
gotten in the library and ran smack dab into Angel himself. She backed up and
started taking deep breaths to try and regain control of her fast beating
heart.
"Are you okay Willow?" Giles asked rushing up to her.
"Oh uh yea. Car trouble." she lied quickly. Maybe a little to quickly.
Everyone was staring at her like she was crazy.
"But you have a phone?" Giles asked confused.
"Oh. Battery. Dead." she said. She looked around at the others. Xander looked
like he was about to laugh at her. Buffy well Buffy looked upset. Giles
confused. Cordelia was- Wait Cordelia! She was coming?!?! Wow. What a
reunion. And Angel looked like Angel. Yep still sulky Angel. She smiled.
"Hey!" she said brightly.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"All right now that Willow has decided to join us." Giles glanced at her. "I

think I can explain."

Willow listened as Giles told the beginning of the story not getting to the

slayer part yet. He could never get to the point. She glanced at Buffy. From

what she could tell neither Angel or Buffy had spoken a word to each other.

Of course Xander and Cordelia had. She reached under the table and grabbed

Buffys hand. Buffy glanced at her and smiled her best. Willow returned her

smile although hers was a little more happy considering she was still

reveling in the afterglow. She let her thoughts go and went back to listening

to Giles. She wanted to see Angels reaction.

"And from the books I have found out that last night a human woman was to

become pregnant by a male vampire." he was cut off by Angel.

"Giles that's impossible." Angel said quickly.

"That's not all deadboy. The little bundle of joy is going to be a slayer."

Xander put in.

This was the first time in her life when she had seen Angel surprised.

"I-I" he stopped. He stopped not knowing what to say. "This happened last

night?" Giles nodded. "Who are they?"

"We have no clue. We are missing a page also from the prophecy."

Willows listened to the rest of it in silence. For some reason it had lost

its interest. Twenty minutes later there meeting had come to a close and

everyone had left.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The next week was spent hopelessly trying to find the parents of the soon to
be slayer. And through the whole week she had spent as much as her free time
with Spike as possible. It was all really weird. No one noticed Willow
disappearing so much though. They where concentrating on the prophecy. Buffy
and Angel had still yet to have a discussion and she was starting to wonder
if it would ever happen.
Willow decided to stop thinking and just be happy. Here she was in bed with a
man, well no a vampire, who had a British accent, who looked really hot, and
she had just had sex with. And it was pretty incredible at that. This time
had been different. He had bitten her. It didn't hurt thought. He had been
gentle. He never hurt her. But after he had been quite like something was on
his mind. But she had figured he would tell her if he needed to.
Spike laid there the whole time in deep thought. Something wasn't right.
Something was very wrong. He could taste it in her blood. At first he thought
maybe she was sick. But no he would have noticed that easily right off. He
reached out and licked her neck tasting the blood and not even paying
attention to the odd look she was giving him. For the life of him he couldn't
figure it out. He thought of all the different kinds of reasons for different
tastes and then it hit him like a brick wall. He let out a loud angry growl.
Willow jumped up off the bed and saw him change to game face. Fear was rising
quickly. She had no idea what was going on. He jumped up off the bed and
started stalking towards her. She kept backing up until she hit the wall. He
grabbed her arms roughly. "Sp-Spike." she whimpered form the pain.
"You fucken slut! I should have been able to smell him on you but for some
reason I couldn't. But it serves you right now. And I hope you suffer."
"Wh-what are you talking about?" she sobbed.
"Don't play dumb Willow! You have been fucking someone else!"
"What? Spike I swear I haven't. Why would you think that?"
"You dumb bitch your fucken pregnant!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Part 6

"What?" Willow asked disbelievingly.

He let go and pushed her away. He wanted to kill her. Hurt her like she was

hurting him. But he couldn't. "Get out." he said coldly and left the room.

She ran and started putting on her clothes the whole time not believing this

was crying. She ran out of the factory not even stopping to think until her

car was well over a mile away. Then the reality of the situation started to

hit her. He said he could taste it. But she hadn't been with anyone besides

him! And he couldn't get her pregnant! Then it hit her. She slammed on the

brakes in the middle of the deserted rode.

"No no no no no. Okay think Willow. Spike vampire. You human girl. And and...

and we where together on the 6! Oh my god! No! This isn't right! It can't be

me!" she screamed and hit the steering will frantically until she had worn

herself out. She dropped her head on the steering wheel and cried.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Willow walked into the bathroom slowly. Maybe Spike had made a mistake. After
all, it took him forever to figure out why her blood was different. So that
meant he wasn't sure. She decided in a few seconds all would be revealed.
Willow opened the bathroom door and stepped in eyeing the little device that
could possibly change her whole life. She took a couple of more steps up to
it. The little plus sign stared back at her. She felt like it was mocking
her. She let out a pathetic whimper, slid to the floor, and cried helplessly.
It all made sense now. Her and Spikes odd behavior towards each other. It was
fate bringing them together. And it just happened that he was a vampire and
she was human and they just happened to have sex on June 6.
"Oh god." she whispered. "How am I going to do this?" First thing she needed
to do was get hold of herself. She couldn't have done anything about it. So
technically, it wasn't her fault. She checked her watch and realized that she
still had had a lot of time until the doctor closed. She picked herself up
off the floor and left.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Ms Rosenberg?" the doctor said as she walked in looking at her chart.

"Yes?" she asked meekly.

"Now you took a home pregnancy test already am I right? And it was positive?"

She nodded.

"Well, it wasn't lying to you. You are pregnant."

She closed her eyes and took a deep breath trying her best not to cry.

"I am taking it this wasn't planned?" she asked softly.

"No." she whispered and shook her head.

"Would you like to call the father?" she asked warmly.

Willow shook her head. Spike. A father. If the situation wouldn't have been

so depressing she would have laughed. "No. I am going to go see him next."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Willow ran to the door. He wouldn't hurt her. Would he? She didn't care
anymore. Her whole life had gone down the drain in one moment. She started
pounding on the door and screaming for him to let her in.
Spike jumped up at the insistent pounding. He recognized the screaming.
"Spike open the damn door! Now! You don't know what is going on!"
He sat there surprised. How the hell could he not know what was going on. The
bloody girl was pregnant. It wasn't by him that was for sure.
"The only other person I have been with was Oz and that was almost 6 months
ago! You don't understand," she cried.
He was doing his best not to open the door. She sounded so desperate and sad
he just wanted to open the door and take her in. But he couldn't, she had
obviously been fucking another man.
"Spike please! God Spike don't you understand. You are the father. Please let
me in. I know you don't understand but I can expl-" the door was thrown open
and she saw a retreating figure walk down the stairs. She took in a deep
breath and followed him down shutting the door behind her. When she reached
the bottom, he was standing there waiting for her. Almost as angry as he had
been a few hours ago.
"Now pet would you like to bloody hell explain to me how I could be the
father. Because this I have to hear."
"Okay um I told you how Angel was coming down because of some prophecy
right?" he nodded.
She decided maybe it would be best to stay away from him and she walked over
to the bed and started slowly pacing. "Well, the prophecy says that a human
woman will get pregnant by a male vampire on the sixth month on the sixth day
of this year."
"That was just a few days ago pet." he said still not realizing the whole
situation.
"Yea I know. That was also the day that you came to my apartment." she saw
the realization on his face and thought it best to hurry up and tell him the
rest. "That explains why you came here against your better judgment, gave me
back my cross, why I willingly took it from you and you worrying about me. It
was supposed to happen."
"You can't be serious. You expect me to believe this!"
"Spike you admitted something weird was happening! And you had also said that
you should have been able to smell it if I had been with someone. And you
couldn't! Why? Because you are the only person I have been with!" she noticed
he still didn't believe her. "Spike that is why Angel is here. Because we
couldn't find out who it was. We needed his help. Spike please."
"How?" he asked unsurely.
"How what?" she asked not understanding is question.
"I am dead. How could I get you pregnancy?"
"I-I don't know. Maybe fate willed it maybe I was just born weird and you
could get me pregnant," she said.
"Okay then why?" he asked. This whole thing was unbelievable. But she
wouldn't lie to him. He would be able to find out eventually if it was his or
not. Also he didn't think she was this good of a liar. And all of the weird
events that had been happening to him pointed exactly to this.
"I haven't told you everything," she admitted. She really didn't want to. How
does a vampire react to knowing that he is going to be a father to a slayer?
"You better tell me now Willow," he said lowly. Whatever it was she hadn't
told him had to have been worse. Maybe he didn't want to hear it.
"This," she pointed to her stomach, "is going to be a slayer."
He opened is mouth to speak but closed it again. He shut his eyes and shook
his head willingly it all to go away. He was dealing with the whole pregnant
part he thought pretty well but knowing he was going to father a slayer. No.
That was just impossible. He was going to be part of the destruction of his
own kind. A slayer that was human and vampire was bound to be a lethal
combination.
"No. You are lying."
"Spike god you know it's true just admit it." she pleaded and walked towards
him.
He backed away from her. She stopped and her eyes started to water up. "Spike
I am telling you the truth. Why would I lie? Why would I want to make you
believe all of this? I didn't know about this until you told me I was
pregnant. God Spike I am begging you. Please believe me." she whimpered and
looked up at him. His face wasn't giving away any of his thoughts. The whole
situation seemed hopeless. What if he was just meant to get her pregnant and
not anything else?
Spike didn't know what to do. On behalf of all demons, he should probably be
killing her right now. Was that why vampires had been targeting women?
Because of this prophecy. As much as he hated this, for some reason he
believed her. He let out a surrendering breath and pulled her into his arms.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Giles?" Willow said into the telephone.

"Willow? What's wrong?" he asked worried. No one had seen her all day.

"It doesn't matter. The sun will be setting soon and I need everyone at the

library. " She said. She had made her decision not to wait any longer. They

had to know.

"Willow why? What is going on?" he asked anxiously.

"Look I want to tell everyone together. All I can tell you is that I found

out something about the slayers parents." she said hoping that would make him

feel better but knew it would only make him uptight. "Giles I am not telling

you anymore. Just have everyone there and then you will know everything." she

said and hung up. She turned around to face Spike who was sitting on the bed

in deep thought. "Angel will be there. And of course Buffy."

"I don't care. I am still coming."

"I know. But we must to this by my plan. Not yours."

"I liked my plan." he smiled. He knew she wasn't going to go along with it.

He had just brought it up to make her smile.

"Spike we can't just walk in there and pass out buttons that say 'It's a

girl' and pass out cigars." she smiled. She had to admit that the looks on

their faces would be priceless.

"All right fine. Your plan pet. I just want to be there when they find out.

Kodak moment you know. To bad good old daddy wouldn't come out in a picture."

"And no smart remarks. It won't go over good."

"Alright." he gave in. He was going to have to say something though and she

knew it.

Willow got up out of the chair, walked over, and sat next to Spike.

"You are telling me everything right?"

She nodded. "Well, the books had been in the possession of vampires and we

are missing a page."

"Wait so other vampires know?" he asked worry rising in him.

She nodded. "Why? I mean if they had known it was me or you don't you think

they would have been after us already?"

"But vampires have been out looking. I thought it was jut a rumor but it must

be true. For that past couple of weeks, more and more vampires have been

coming to Sunnydale. And their attacks have been aimed at young women."

"Do you think they will find me?" she asked worriedly.

"No. I won't let them. And as much as I hate to admit it, I think it is best

that the slayer and that bloody wanker know. For the next nine months pet you

aren't going to be by yourself anywhere."

She groaned.

"Do you want to be dead?" he asked her raising is eyebrows.

She shook her head quickly.

Spike turned away from her and lay back on the bed. "Me. A father. And not

just any father. A father of a slayer."

"Does that bother you?" she asked and laid down on her said holding herself

up on one arm. "I mean the slayer part."

"Of course it bothers me pet. But there is nothing I can do about it is

there?" he asked.

She shook her head. "But you could just kill me and be done with it all."

He laughed. "Yea I guess I could. But I don't plan on doing that. The damn

kid may be a slayer but as disturbing as it is she is also going to be my

'daughter'." he shook his head. "Weird." he glanced over at the clock. "All

right pet it's about that time. Go make yourself all pretty so they don't

think I have been beating you or anything."

"Okay. Remember be good." she said and ran to the bathroom.

"Yea right." he mumbled.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Part 7
"All right Giles what's the deal." Buffy said walking in the doors with
Xander. She immediately noticed Angel and Cordelia sitting around the table.
"What happened here?" Buffy asked taking notice of the disheveled appearance
of the two.
"Some stupid vampires attacked us. Well, actually me. They didn't even notice
Angel till he staked them."
"Her? Why?" Buffy asked confused. "I mean she isn't-. Oh my god." she
whispered. It could be…her and Angel.
"No!" Angel said loudly. "It is nothing like that." he got a hold of himself
and turned to Giles. "From what I can tell it looks like the vampires are
just attacking women randomly and hoping to kill the right one. So we can
also guess that that missing page does not contain the identity of the mother
or father."
Buffy walked over and sat in the chair farthest from the rest while Xander
went over to Cordelia making sure she was okay.
"Giles what does Willow have to tell us?" Angel asked turning is attention
away from Cordelia.
"I have no clue. She said for everyone to be here and that she had found out
something about the identity of the parents. The she hung up on me before I
could ask her any questions. She sounded a little upset to."
"And you didn't think to tell me this earlier Giles?" Buffy asked annoyed.
The whole situation was working on her nerves. Xander was up Cordelia's ass.
She hadn't had a damn conversation with Angel and Willow was always
disappearing. That girl had better have some answers.
"There was nothing to tell Buffy." he said and shot her a warning look
telling her to calm down.
"Guys?" said a voice form behind Buffy. Everyone turned to face her. "I'm
here."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"All right Willow I think it is time for some explanations." Giles said

seriously after they had all sat down.

"I know the parents of the slayer. Okay. Whew all right. Lets see here." she

stood up and walked away from the table. She prayed to whoever was listening

this would go according to plan and no one would get hurt. "I um found out

something about them you could say. Actually one of the parents are here."

"What?" Giles said surprised. "How did you-. Who is it?"

She laughed nervously. "Actually it is the father I brought with me. It's um-"

"Boo!" said a voice coming through the doors.

"Spike." she finished. Great just great! The whole plan was shot to hell! She

should have known he would have done this. She heard an angry Buffy yelling

at him and an angry growl come from Spike. Before she knew what was happening

Angel had his hand around Spikes throat and pinned up to the wall.

"You. What the hell are you doing back?" Angel growled.

"What you didn't know? I have been here for a couple of weeks. I guess you

and the slayer need to work on you communication skills." Angel tightened his

grip on Spikes throat. "Don't think you want to kill me Angel old boy. I am

going to be a daddy!" he said with fake enthusiasm.

"What poor girl did you have to rape to actually get pregnant?" Angel spat

out.

"Nope she came willingly." he smirked.

Willow watched as the argument went on between him. How would this work? No

one seemed to care that Angel was on the verge of killing Spike. She started

to cry. It was all hopeless.

"I find that hard to believe." Angel said. "Tell me what poor girl actually

submitted herself to you. Something must be wrong with to sleep with you."

"I wouldn't say that mate. You might hurt her feelings. And mine." he

growled. He was tiring of this game. He had promised Willow no fighting but

he was getting tired of being pinned up to a wall.

Xander noticed Willow distress and went over to her and kneeled down to where

she had sat on the ground. He knew something had to be wrong. "Willow." he

lifted her face up to his. "Willow what's wrong?" he asked kindly. She

wouldn't respond.

Spike took the opportunity and smirked at Angel. "You know what they say.

Pregnant women are always emotional."

Everyone turned to Willow who started crying hysterically. Angel slid into

game face, brought Spike over to a table, threw him on it, and grabbed a

stake.

"No!!!" Willow screamed but Buffy was ahead of her and grabbed Angels arm

before she could stand up.

"No." she said firmly. Angel growled and yanked his arm away from her and

went to stake Spike. Buffy kicked him squarely in the chest causing him to

fly back and fall to the ground. She took a few steps forward, and stepped

in-between him and Spike. She watched through the corner of her eye as Spike

ignored the stand off between Buffy and Angel, went over to Willow lifting

her up off the floor gently, and held her as she cried. She knew what she had

to do. "You kill Spike and you leave Willow with no one. She doesn't deserve

that. No one does." she said angrily.

Angel switched to him human face. He knew Buffy was not going to let him

through. He also knew what she had meant by the comment. Angel walked over to

the other side of the room and stood in the shadows.

Buffy let out a relieved sigh and turned to face Willow and Spike who had

already separated. She went over to willow whom was sitting in a chair.

"Willow are you pregnant with Spikes child?" she asked calmly.

Willow nodded but didn't look at her.

"Oh my god." Giles said quietly and sat back down. "When did this happen.

Wait, don't answer that. I know when it happened. Willow just tells me

everything. And I mean everything." he said trying to keep himself calm. He

didn't think he would have happened to someone he knew personally.

"When Spike came here he didn't know why. And then that night when he gave me

back my cross, and when I walked up to him to get it, neither one of us

understood what we where doing. And then one night I ran into him outside my

apartment. He said he didn't even know I lived there. And um he made me let

him in. And uh you know." she mumbled.

"That was June 6?" Giles asked.

She nodded. "And then it just happened. I had been seeing him ever since

then. But last night um he had bit me after you know we um-"

"We shagged." Spike cut her off. She looked up at him and he cocked an

eyebrow. She turned away from him and continued.

"Wait he bit you?" Xander asked disbelievingly.

"Yes but that's no the point. He tasted something in my blood. And it took

him a while to figure it out. But when he did he was less then happy." she

said angrily remember the things he had said to her. She looked at him and

glared but turned away immediately to continue. "He was able to tell I was

pregnant. I went strait out and took a home pregnancy test. It was positive.

Then I went to the doctor and she confirmed that I was pregnant." she let out

a relived sigh. Everything was out in the open and now she felt much better.

"So now it is official I am pregnant with the slayer."

Spike looked around as they all sat there quietly. Boy, were they boring. "So

we came here to ask if you had any suggestions. You know for names for the

baby. Of course we know it is going to be a girl." Everyone turned to stare

at him. Willow glared up at him. "What?"

Buffy turned away from the stupid vampire and faced Giles. "What now?"

He stood up and let out a sigh. "We need that other page if it is still

available. Also, we have to think about Willows safety. It must be out in the

open now about the new slayer."

"Look I am going to go find that other page." Everyone looked at him. "What?

I could care less about any of you all. But I don't want her hurt. And I

can't protect her all the time after all. That's why I am counting on you

slayer to help." he said and looked at her.

"Willows my friend. I'm not just going to stand by and watch. And if I was

you buddy, I think you had better start liking slayers. You are gong to have

your own little slayer on the way." she said and smirked. He glared back at

her.

Willow frowned at Buffy who just smiled.

Willow let out a sigh. She was tired. "Look we're leaving. I'm tired. And I

know you all probably want to talk without me hear." she looked up at Spike.

"Ready?"

He nodded. "Let's go pet." he grabbed her arm, lifted her up, and followed

her out the door.

Part 8

"Dammit Spike! I am not going to break!" she said angrily.

"Well I don't want you to fall again." he shot back.

"You are making me sound like I am crippled. That wasn't my fault. That damn

kid ran into me."

"I was just worried that you might hurt yourself."

"You were?" she stopped in the middle of the hallway and looked at him.

"Well of course you're carrying my child." he teased.

She pouted.

"I'm joking Willow." he leaned down and kissed her softly on the lips.

She pulled away and smiled. "K." and walked off towards the library.

"Bloody girl." He cursed her and followed her to the library.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Willow slow down when she got near the doors. "What is all that yelling?"
she whispered to Spike.
"I don't know but sounds like a fight. Better hurry before it's over." he
said and reached over her head and pushed opened the door.
"I don't give a hell why you are here! You can just pick up and leave right
now!" Giles yelled to a man who had two other men standing on side of him.
"Mr. Giles you do not-" he was cut off by the arrival of the topic of
conversation. "This is them?" he asked.
Giles didn't respond.
"I'll take that as a yes." he walked a little closer to the couple. He
cleared his throat and one of them men cam rushing up beside him. "Tell me
about her."
"Willow Ann Rosenberg. Friend of Buffy Summers." the man responded quickly.
"Is that all?" he asked disappointed.
"She has dealt with magic and was the one to restore Angelus soul."
He didn't make a comment. "What about him?" he asked.
"Spike. Formally known as William the Bloody. Sired by Angelus....." he
continued naming different things.
Spike was becoming angry and he noticed Willow getting worried which made
him even more angry. He let out an angry growl, quieting and scaring the man
giving the information. The other man wasn't phased by it at all.
"We do not have time for this foolishness. The situation demands our
immediate attentions" he stated.
"You couldn't be bothered with it before so you threw it all on me but now
you want to come in here and take over? I can't let you do that." Giles said
firmly.
"You have no say in this matter. We need to know how this happened. I have
brought Dr. Thompson here with me," he pointed to the other man who had
remained quite the whole time. "He needs to look at Willow and run some
tests."
"I already have a doctor." Willow said quietly.
"But does your doctor know what you are caring?"
She shook her head.
"I thought not. That is why we brought out own doctor here. He is more
equipped to handle your situation."
"No." she said sternly.
"This is not a matter to be discussed." he said firmly to her refusal.
Spike had had enough. He stepped in front of Willow and growled. "If any of
you lay your bloody hands on her I will rip your throat and suck you dry. You
got that?" he said angrily letting his eyes glow and teeth become longer for
emphasis.
"You cannot stop us. The girl cannot stay here. She must come back with us."
"What!?!?" Buffy yelled. Through the whole thing she had remained calm. She
had actually wanted to see Spike scare him off. But this was getting
ridiculous. "You can't take her. She belongs here."
"She must come back with us."
"She isn't going anywhere." Giles said and glared.
"If you have to. You cannot protect her. Even if you could it wouldn't
matter. The baby cannot stay with her. We would have to take it away from her
soon after birth."
"No!" Willow screamed and tried to run towards him but was pushed out of the
way by Spike.
Spike vamped out and grabbed the man by the throat and flung him on the
table. "You will not take her or 'my' child. If you ever do I will hunt every
single one of you watchers down and kill you. I could care less about your
life." he growled angrily.
"You alone cannot stop us." he choked out.
The others didn't even move to stop Spike.
"He isn't alone." Angel said dangerously.
Buffy walked up to him smirking. "You see to get to Willow and the baby you
will have to get through a slayer and to angry vamps. You little prophecy
made a wrong choice when it picked Willow. Let him go Spike." He didn't move.
"Now." she ordered.
Spike turned to her and judged by the look on her face she was serious. He
went back to his human face and let go of the man and backed up.
Buffy moved in front of the man and waited for him to stand up.
"You are making a terrible mistake." he shoked out. "We need the child to
train."
"No you want to take her away from friends and family and keep her in
seclusion and train her to be some bad ass bitchy slayer. I don't think so. I
had none of that. I have friends and family. Now name one other slayer who
has lived as long as me." she challenged.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"That wasn't much fun earlier." Willow said over her shoulder.

"I would have to agree love." Spike said and tightened his hold on Willow.

Willow felt miserable. She had never really thought of the watchers council

getting involved. Now they wanted to take her away. She scooted back and

tried getting as close to Spike as possible. "Do you think they will try to

take me?"

"It is a possibility. But it makes no difference. We are already protecting

you from other vampires. I think we can handle those snobby watcher just as

well." He said trying to his best to comfort her.

She let out a sigh. "We need that other page."

"Yea I know. But soul boy is heading back to LA soon and maybe he will have

more luck."

Willow twisted her head to look at him and smirked.

"What?"

"Nothing." she said letting out a little laugh. "Speaking of Angel. I think

you need to stop taunting him. One day he is going to beat your ass." She

felt the vibrating of his chest as he laughed. "Come on, Spike, he is on our

side. You heard him earlier. He wasn't going to let them take me either."

"So. That doesn't mean I can't be mean to him. It isn't doing anyone any

harm. Anyway you have to admit pet that it is funny seeing him all riled up."

"Spike go to sleep. Buffy is coming to get me bright and early tomorrow

morning since I need a chaperone. And then we are going clothes shopping."

she said brightly.

"Oh yeah. Your going to be getting a little big aren't you?" he teased.

She elbowed him in his stomach. "That's mean."

"I'm joking. Go to sleep. Then tomorrow night you can come show me all the

silly crap you bought."

"Spike?"

"Huh?"

"Shut up."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Buffy we really don't have to but clothes now. I am still fitting into my
old stuff just fine."
"Soooo. This is fun. We get to buy all kinds of toys! We can buy her a
little stake and little cross. And she can have a little crossbow!" she said
excitedly.
"Buffy , calm down. It's a baby. And anyway you can't buy that stuff."
"Sure you can. I got a catalog at home. Slaying for Tots."
Willow laughed. "Sure."
They walked in silence for a while and Willow decided to go ahead and tell
her what she came here to say. "Buffy. I'm not going back to school."
Buffy stopped and turned to her. She had known this was coming. And
unfortunately she had to agree it was the best choice. "Yea, I figured you
weren't going to."
"You did? Oh." she said and looked down. "I'm sorry Buffy."
"Willow, it's expected. You have other problems to worry about. And I
couldn't picture Spike letting you go back anyway. I am surprised I got you
out of the house this morning." She said and started walking again.
Willow let out a little laugh. "Yea I know. He has become a little over
protective lately. A couple of nights ago this young guy ran into me on
mistake and of course Spike had to show off his masculinity and growl at the
poor guy. Of course he went off running."
Buffy laughed. Deep down she was a little jealous. Angel would never be like
that with her. "Angel is leaving tomorrow."
"Did you have an actual conversation with him lately?" Willow asked serious
again.
"Yea, we had one a few times. I have to admit, I will always wish that I
would be able to be with him. But I know that it will never happen and it was
probably better to end it as soon as possible."
Willow smiled knowingly. "So if he was to come up to you tonight and say he
wanted to be with you would you accept?"
Buffy looked at her and smiled. "Yea."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Part 9

"I don't think so Willow." Buffy said and walked over

to Willow who was eating a big bag of chips. She

yanked the bag away and closed it up.

"Buffy! What are you doing?!" she yelled at her and

pushed herself up out of the chair.

"Willow we can't be having fat slayers now can we? No,

I don't think so. So here eat this," Buffy said and

handed her an apple.

Willow scrunched her face in disgust but took it from

her. She was hungry, afterall. She mumbled to herself

and sat back down to the computer and bit into the

apple.

Giles walked into the library and spoke to Buffy

quietly. "I think you should take Willow home."

"Why?" she asked curiously.

"Just do it," he ordered her and walked away.

She let out a sigh and walked over to Willow. "Come on

Will time to go home."

"And let me guess. You are escorting me?" she asked

knowing the answer. She grabbed her bag.

"Well, unless Spike wants to come get you..." she

trailed off.

"Yea right. He'd get outside then have to make the

rest of the trip in a dust pan," she said

sarcastically.

"See what I mean Willow? You're all grumpy. Not enough

protein in your diet."

Willow smirked and headed out the door with Buffy

close behind her.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Spikey! I brought you a bundle of joy!" Buffy yelled
opening the door. "C-ya," she said and slammed the
door behind her sure to wake up Spike.
Spike grumbled at the loud noise of the slayer and
pushed himself out of bed. He walked into the living
and found Willow sitting on the couch eating an
apple. She turned and looked at him smiling brightly.
"Hi Spike!"
He rolled his eyes and walked over to sit by her. He
rubbed his eyes and said, "I hate slayers."
Willow turned to him and glared.
His eyes opened in shock realizing what he just said.
"I mean that particular slayer, pet. She woke me up. I
have a right to dislike her."
Willow smirked. "And what do you think a baby will do?
So are you saying since this baby is a slayer and if
she wakes you up, you will hate her?"
Spike opened his mouth to speak but closed it again.
Then he glared at her. "Now you know that isn't what
I said. Your putting words in my mouth. You are
always doing that."
"Spike shut up and go make me a sandwich. Make
yourself useful."
He didn't move. He wasn't going to be her servant, he
decided.
She let out a sigh. "Fine. I'll do it myself." she
said and tried pulling herself off the plush couch.
Dammit. Now she remembered why she never sat there
anymore.
Spike let a smile creep onto his face. She was five
months pregnant and was showing pretty noticeably.
She gave up and turned to him and glared He was
always doing that. Making fun of her cause she at to
much or couldn't get up or cause she walked
funny. She tried to put on her best angry face but it
soon faded away and she started crying. "Stop making
fun of me."
Spike was surprised. Usually, she would just yell. But
this had happened before too. "I'm not making fun of
you."
"Yes, you are," she hiccuped in between a sob. "You're
always making fun of me. You told me a walk like a
duck," she said and cried harder.
He pulled her into his arms. "I didn't mean it pet,"
he said softly and rubbed her back. Maybe he was a
little harsh. "Look. How about I go back and make you
a
sandwich? Then I'll take this blasted couch and throw
it out. We'll find a new one okay?"
She hiccuped and nodded into his shoulder.
"All right. Good." He pulled away from her and got
up and went to the kitchen. He groaned. Four more
months of this left. And it wasn't even going to get
better.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Buffy walked into the library wanting answers. But she

only had more questions when she saw Angel standing in

there.

"All right now I am even more confused. What is going

on Giles?" she asked demanding an answer.

"Angel think he may have located the other page."

"What?" Buffy asked surprised. It seemed like a

hopeless cause to her. But now that they may have

found it..... "But why send Willow home?"

"Because I wanted to talk to Giles first before we

told her and Spike," he said the last word with

disgust.

"Where is it?" she asked getting strait down to the

point. She was ready to go out and find this thing.

"From what I have found out is being kept by a group

of vampires that for years have been trying to stop

the prophecy from taking place. I think they are

actually in LA. They wanted to be near Sunnydale but

not close enough to the slayer so that they would be

discovered," Angel explained.

"So what do we do now?" Xander asked.

"Well I think first we need to tell Spike and Willow,"

Giles said and walked over to the phone.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Willow picked up the phone that was in the kitchen.
"Hello?" she asked politely.
"Willow, this is Giles. We need you and Spike to come
to the library."
"Giles is something wrong?" Willow asked worriedly.
"No. Nothing is wrong. Just hurry to the library."
She hung up with him and turned to Spike who was
sitting on the chair next to her at the counter.
"Giles. Library now."
He groaned and got up and headed to their room to get
dressed.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"So what was his deal?" Spike asked as they walked to

the library.

"I have no clue. He said nothing was wrong but

something was obviously important. But I am still kind

of worried. But the library is right up there so I

guess we'll find out soon," she said.

"Willow if it wasn't bad news, it means it must be

good news. So you have nothing to worry about," he

said and wrapped his arm around her waist.

"You have wonderful logic Spike. Are all vampires that

smart?"

He let out a growl. "No, not all." He turned around

and pushed Willow behind him.

"Well well well. It's Spike." said one of the two

vampire. "I guess it's true. You have gone soft.

Walking around with a human Spike? Doesn't

your own kind satisfy you? Or is she just a good

fuck?" the vampire said stupidly.

Spike slipped into game face. He felt Willow slip a

stake into his hand. "I could care less what a little

pussy like yourself thought about me. But I DO

care what you say about her," he growled angrily. When

had vampires become so stupid? They had no respect for

there elders anymore.

The other vampire who was eyeing up Willow turned to

the other. "Hey man she is pregnant." he said softly.

"Yea so?" the other one asked. He could careless. It

wouldn't matter once he drained her.

"Well we've heard about Spike being with a human for

the past few months. But look at her she's pregnant.

Could she be that girl they're trying to find?" he

whispered.

Willow may not have heard when they said, but Spike

had. No, they weren't going anywhere. If this got out

in the open it would be impossible to protect her.

"I think you may be right," the vampire said. "So

Spike is it true? Are you the lucky daddy?"

Willows eyes widened in fear.

"Well then I guess it's true. Jeez. Spike first you

go soft, then you become a daddy of a slayer? Why the

hell are you still a vampire? This is going to be

great news to all of the other actual vampires."

"To bad you aren't going to get to tell any of them,"

Spike growled. "Willow run," he said to her and

lunged towards the two vampires.

Willow turned and ran as fast as she could to the

library. She hoped to god Buffy was there.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Everyone turned as the doors where slammed open by
Willow.
"Willow what's wrong?" Buffy ran up to her.
"Spike." she said trying to catch her breath. "Vamps.
Hurry." she said.
Buffy got the idea and grabbed a stake and took off
running with the others close behind her.
When Buffy ran outside she saw Spike fighting an even
battle with two other vampires. She ran towards them
with Angel close behind her. With Angel and
Buffy on Spike's side, the two vampires were easily
dusted.
Once the fight was over, Giles finally released the
struggling Willow. She ran over to Spike who was
still in game face. She jumped up and wrapped her arms
around his neck almost knocking him over. For that
short period of time, she had been scared that she
would come out and he would be dust.
"What happened?" Buffy asked dusting herself off.
"Vampires! What does it bloody look like?!?" Spike
yelled angrily.
Buffy glared at him. "I know that!" She decided to
wait a moment while he comforted Willow assuring her
that he was okay. She watched them thoughtfully. She
also noticed the others were to. But Willow and Spike
weren't paying any attention to them. She watched as
Spike went back to his human face and looked down to
Willow who was sobbing. For some reason it amazed her
that this soulless vampire could fight and scream at
her but when it came to Willow he was different. She
watched almost jealously as Spike brought his hands up
to Willow's face and wiped the tears away. He leaned
down and
kissed her gently on the lips. Buffy knew that she
couldn't let anything happen to Spike either. If he
died, Willow would die with him. Willow pulled away
from him and turned to the others.
"Let's go inside and they we will explain. But I
expect some answers from you all too," she said taking
notice of Angel for the first time. Something
definitely was going on.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Willow took a seat with Buffy, Xander and Giles. Angel

stood outside the group as always, and Spike hovered

over her not letting anything get to her.

"So?" Buffy asked waiting for the explanation as to what happened.

"Two stupid vamps tried to attack me." Spike said as a matter of factly.

Willow ignored him and preceded to tell them what really happened.

"Does that mean they know?" Xander asked Giles.

"I don't think they have figured out it was Willow.

But unfortunately I don't think it will be long. They

obviously know about a human becoming pregnant

with a slayer. Which is a good thing that Angel came

when he did. He thinks he may have found the location

of the other page," Giles said.

"Are you serious?" Willow asked surprised.

Angel nodded.

"Then what do you bloody hell plan on doing about it?"

"It is in LA. I came here for help," he said gravely.

"I'll go," Buffy said, thinking she was the only

possible person to help.

"No," Giles said shaking his head.

"What?" Buffy turned to him. The others surprise equal

to hers. She had seemed like the best choice.

"Buffy you are the slayer. You belong here. Also we

need you here to watch Willow. Spike can't watch her

night and day. You can."

"So what are you saying?" Buffy asked. She was afraid

where this was going. Besides her there only seemed to

be one logical choice.

"I think under the circumstances Spike should go."

"What?!?! Are you blood crazy? Me go with him?" Spike

yelled and pointed at Angel."And I am bloody well not

leaving Willow here."

Angel didn't speak but the surprise of Giles' choice

was evident on his face and he growled when Spike

commented about him.

"You have no choice," Giles said sternly. "You can't

watch her during the day. And it would be easier for

two vampires to penetrate the group holding the page

then it would be for a vampire and a slayer. And I

could care less about what you and Angel think of each

other. What matters here is that we get that page. Now

you must decide. Where are your priorities? Willow and

the baby or yourself?"

Spike knew the librarian was setting him up. He knew

that Spike was going to choose Willow. "All right.

Fine. We leave tomorrow night. I want to find it

as soon as possible if it might help her."

Willows swallowed. She knew that Spike would decide to

go. And Giles had been right. It made more sense for

Spike to go instead of Buffy. But it worried

her. He must have known it to because he walked in

front of her and kneeled down.

"Are you okay with this?"

She nodded and wiped the silent tears that had started

falling when she realized what could happen once he

left. "Can we go home now?" she asked

softly almost sounding like a lost child.

He nodded and pulled her up. He turned to the others.

"I'll be here as soon as the sun sets. Slayer you be

here. She is going to going to go back

and live in the apartment with you while I am gone."

Buffy nodded.

He and Willow left the library leaving the others in

grim silence.

Part 10

"All right Pet here we are," Spike said, standing outside the library.

"Yeah I know. But I still don't like it," she said again.

"Yeah, well, neither do I. The idea of being alone with that poof ball

doesn't really make my night," he said. "But we have no choice. Let's go."

He put his hand on the small of her back and ushered her in.

When they walked in, everyone was sitting around waiting. Almost in the same

silence they had left them in yesterday.

"All right enough of this. I feel like I am going to a funeral. So can we get

this over with already?" Spike asked in an annoyed tone.

"Whenever you're ready," Angel said grimly.

Spike walked Willow over to Buffy. He set Willow's bags down next to her. "If

she gets hurt you die. It's as simple as that."

"I hate to tell you this Spike, but before you came along, I was protecting

her and everyone else just fine without your help. So you have nothing to

worry about," she said angrily. She hated her abilities to protect people

being challenged.

Spike opened his mouth to respond but Willow stepped in front of him. "Spike

I'll be fine. You know Buffy won't let anything happen to me. Nor will Giles

or Xander."

He looked around and eyed them all up knowing it was true. "All right. Fine.

Time to go."

Willow put her hands up to his face, kissed him lightly on the lips, then

rested her forehead against his. "Come back, okay?"

He put his hands on her waist and looked down at her. "You don't even have to

ask." He kissed her and let her go. He backed away from her and smiled then

turned to Angel. "All right, daddy. Let's go," he said. He punched Angel on

his arm and headed out the doors. Angel scowled and followed him out.

"Do you think they'll be okay?" Willow asked Buffy.

"No, I doubt it. Either way, one of them is going to kill the other," Buffy

responded and smiled.

Willow smiled.

~~~~~
Spike watched his sire out of the corner of his eye. They had been driving
for almost thirty minutes and he had decided that his sire was the most
boring person in the world. "Come on, Angel old boy, say something." Angel
kept silent. Spike let out a sigh. "It's okay I understand. I guess you
become all broody when you get a soul. How did the slayer ever put up with
you? Oh yeah, I forgot! You aren't together anymore!" He could see his Angel
starting to get angry. "Damn those bloody souls and those people that give
them back! Should have gotten rid of them when you had the chance."
He noticed Angel smirk. "I don't think you want me killing Willow."
"What about Willow?" Spike growled. He didn't like Willow's name being
mention with the word killing.
"Well, Willow is the one that gave me back my soul. Or did she not tell you?"
Angel mocked him.
Spike was surprised. He hadn't known it was Willow. "Don't talk about
Willow," he said angrily.
"Then you don't talk about Buffy." Angel replied.
Spike glared at him angrily but kept his mouth shut.
~~~~~

Spike moved quietly around the office that Angel worked in. As soon as they

had arrived, Angel had went quietly to a room to do who knows what and left

him there.

"Angel when did you-" Cordelia cut her self off when she noticed Spike. "Oh

um. Where's Angel?" she asked and backed up.

"Don't worry pet. Willow won't let me eat any of her friends," he smirked.

"Oh good." She stared at him for a moment then regained her composure and

treated him like any other lowly person. "So where is Angel?"

"I don't know. He went that way." He pointed down a hallway.

Cordelia nodded and went in that direction. When she reached, Angel's room

she opened the door and slammed it shut to get his attention. He looked up

from his desk and got off of the phone.

"What the hell is he doing here? I thought Buffy was coming?"she asked

angrily and walked up to his desk. The idea of Spike being there wasn't very

comforting.

"She was. But it turned out Spike would be a better choice," he said trying

to convince her and himself

"And so you just leave him in there! Alone!"

Angel got up from his desk and headed towards the door. "Cordelia, he won't

hurt anyone."

"Okay, what is wrong here? When did Spike become the friendly vampire? Where

have I been?" She followed Angel back to the room where Spike was but stayed

behind him.

"All right so what's the deal?" Spike asked. He just wanted to get that damn

page.

"We make our move tomorrow. It's too late to start now. We are going to stay

here for tonight. Come on," Angel said and walked down the hall again leaving

Cordelia in the middle of the room.

So that meant they had to wait. Spike hated waiting. He walked passed the

girl and let out a small growl and laughed as she gasped.

~~~~~
"You know, here we are, all depressed. You're worrying about your man and I'm
worrying about a man that once was my man. We really need help," Buffy said.
She turned to Willow who was laying on the other side of the bed.
"Yeah, I know. And they're both vampires. I know there have to be some men
out there," Willow said solemnly.
"Oh, there are. But they don't want us. So instead we have to settle for the
dead."
Willow squinched her face together. "You know that doesn't make us sound very
good. I mean dead guys."
"Hey well at least they look good." Buffy pointed out.
"Yeah. But there dead." Willow repeated.
"Uh, Willow, I am trying to look on the bright side here."
"Sorry."
Buffy was quite for a moment and decided it was time to bring up the
enevitable. "Willow you know why it ended between me and Angel, right?"
"Yeah. Him vampire. You slayer." She nodded.
"Well, yeah that too. But I think there was another major factor in there,
don't you?"
Willow sighed. "Yeah. He would live forever and you would die of old age."
"If I even made it that far."
Willow turned on her side. "Buffy don't say that."
"It's true, Willow. But that isn't the point. You have the same problem now."
"I know. I actually think about it more then once a day and dwell on it most
of the time when I am alone. I prefer to tell myself I don't have to worry
about it. But the fact that every second, I am getting older and he is
remaining the same, is enough to drive me insane."
Buffy smiled sadly. She wished she had something comforting to say but she
didn't.
~~~~~

"Now do you remember the plan?" Angel asked in an irritated tone.

"Yeah. We go in, fight and take the page."

Angel growled.

"Look, I know what the plan is. You don't have to worry. If anyone is going

to do this right, it is going to be me. So you better not mess up or I'll

nail your ass to a cross and put you in the sun," Spike said seriously.

Angel didn't respond. He was too confused to respond. Maybe it was the

prophecies doing. But all last night through tonight Spike had been

threatening him about Willow. It seemed that he cared about her. But Spike

was just a demon. How could Spike care for Willow and to top it all off a

kid? Spike had threatened him about the kid too. Even mentioning a couple of

times in the middle of the threats that he wanted to save it. Of course he

had said it in more colorful words. But not only was the child going to be

part human but it was going to be a slayer. Spike was pretty much insuring

many vampires to be staked. His own kind. He had to know why.

"Why?"

"Why what?" Spike asked.

"Why to everything. Why do you want the page? Why do you want to save this

child? Why do you want to save Willow? Why do you have feelings for Willow?"

Spike groaned. Of course he should have expected a question like that from

Mr. Soulboy himself. "Why the hell would I know. You think I decided on this?

Or I just woke up one day and decided hey I think I'll do the slayers little

friend, get her pregnant, and have a little baby slayer of my own and in the

mean time endanger my life. I don't know why. All I know is that I care for

the bloody girl and the child she is carrying. If you or any other bloody

person ever hurt her in any, I would bleed you dry. Does that answer you

question?"

Angel didn't respond.

Spike sighed. He wanted to know why too. Why he couldn't stay away from the

bloody girl? And even though the child she was carrying was a slayer why he

felt the need to protect it to.

"We're here," Angel said, breaking Spike out of his thoughts.

"You better not screw up," Spike said.

Angel had had enough of this. "Willow is my friend. I've searched all these

months trying to fine this page for her. She gave me back my soul. I would

die for her. Does that make you feel better?"

"Let's go," Spike said. He couldn't respond. He didn't want his sire to know

he believe him.

~~~~~
Spike staked another vampire. "I'm going for the page. You hold them off," he
yelled to Angel but didn't wait for a response. The group of vampires
withholding the page turned out to be a bunch of stuck up smart asses. Smart
but they couldn't fight. Lucky for them though. He grabbed a vampire that was
running down the hall. He threw him up against the wall.
"Where is it?" he growled.
"What?" asked the young scared vampire.
"The missing page to the prophecy. Don't play stupid with me boy. You have no
idea what kind of pain I can inflict on you." To make him understand reached
down and grabbed his arm and twisted slowly bone cracking after bone.
"Okay! Okay!" he screamed. "The second door on the right."
Spike threw him down and ran into the room. There was only one vampire in
there. But he was escaping through the window. Spike ran over and yanked him
out. "I don't think so. Where's the page."
"Why do you care?" the other asked. No fear showed on his face.
"Because I want it. If you don't give it to me I will make the rest of your
life hell."
"You're the father aren't you?"
Spike growled. Things weren't going like he had planned. He turned his head
at the sound of the door opening. Angel slammed it closed and locked it."What
the bloody hell are you doing in here? I told you to keep them back."
"Give me a break Spike. How long did you expect me to do that," he growled.
He had no patience left. "Where's the page?"
"I don't know this bloody bastard won't give it to me."
Angel growled and lunged towards them yanking the other vampire away from
Spike and slamming him into the wall. "If you don't give me that page I don't
think you are going to have a happy Angelus and Spike." The vampire eyes
widened. He had recognized the names. That's what he had been hoping for. But
he still didn't speak.
Spike let out a loud fierce growl and threw out his arm knocking something
over.
Angel turned at the sound of glass breaking. "What is that?" Angel asked and
pointed a piece of yellowed paper encased in glass.
Spike bent down and picked it up. He wasn't quite sure. He brought it over to
Angel and held it to him.
Angel skimmed it over. He didn't know much about the language, but what he
did know is that it was the same that the prophecy was done in, the paper
looked the same. He could figure out that the word slayer mentioned a few
times. He turned to the vampire who had an alarmed look on his face. "It
looks like we won't be needing your assistance any longer." He picked up a
piece of broken wood and slammed it into his chest.
Part 11
"I can't stand this anymore!" Willow yelled, breaking the silence and jumping
up form her chair. "It has been a few hours sense the sun set and they are
still not here!"
"I'm sure there okay Willow." Buffy said. trying to soothe her. But she was
anxious as well. They had searched for five months for that page and now here
they where sitting in the library waiting for Spike and Angel to arrive with
it.
"I know there okay. I just can't wait any longer."
"Well, no more waiting love. Your night in shining armor is here." Spike said
as he came in through the doors.
Willow ran up to him and threw her arms around him.
"Okay watch out now. Pregnant lady knocking me down." he said and wrapped her
arms around him.
She pulled away and gave him a slight push. "Not funny. Remember? No more
name calling."
"Sorry love." he bent down to kiss her but she pulled away.
"No. Page. Where is it?"
"Angel has it."
She pulled away from him and ran up to Angel. "Page?"
He unzipped a bag and pulled out a glass encased page and handed it to her.
She took it from him and jumped up giving him a hug. "Thank you." she
whispered. "You know for finding it."
He gave her a quick hug back then pulled away. "It's the least I could have
done after you helped me."
Spike glared and grabbed Willow away from his sire. "Keep your hands to
yourself."
Willow frowned but walked over to Giles and handed him the page. He surveyed
it closely.
"Well?" she asked anxiously. He didn't respond. She waited for a moment. Then
his eyebrows raised and she couldn't stand his silence any longer. "Giles!"
"Oh sorry. Well, this is most interesting and it puts a whole new turn on
things. The slayer will not be simply half vampire and half human." he said
and squinted down at the writing.
"Giles...." Buffy warned. She hated when he didn't tell everything.
"Well, it says in simpler words that the slayer will take the upsides of the
father and mother."
"Meaning?" Spike asked. Bloody librarian.
"Well, she will have the strength of the slayer and a vampire. And any other
characteristics of the father or mother. Such as Willow abilities in magic
and will probably be just as smart as her. Even though the child will be part
demon it will be able to walk in the sun."
"What? That's impossible? How can it walk in the sun?" Spike asked. This
prophecy was getting crazier by the minute.
"Like I said it will take the upsides from the father and mother. And walking
in the sun would be an upside from the mother. Also as odd as this sounds I
think she will be able to survive on blood and human food."
"Ewww. Are you serious?" Xander asked grossed out.
"Yes, I am very serious."
"Giles would it be able to go to game face?" Buffy asked.
"I don't know I haven't finished reading yet."
"I mean I guess that would be an upside from the vampire side. But if the
slayer could there would be problems. I mean you can't have a 4 year old
vamping out at preschool." Buffy rattled on.
"At least they wouldn't mess with her." Xander pointed out.
Willow frowned at him.
"Well, come on. Slayer powers and vamp powers. That's going to be on tough
ass girl. She'll be beating all the boys up." Xander said amused.
Spike raised his eyebrows. The image of a 4 year old doing a spin kick on
another kid. He let out a little laugh but cut it short when Willow elbowed
him.
"Oh dear." Giles gasped.
"Wait wait. Oh dear isn't good Giles. What's wrong?" Willow asked worried.
"Well, I have your answer about the child 'vamping out'. The slayer will not
receive the full extent of the vampire side until she is in full slayer
status."
"So that means no vamping out right? Well, not as a little kid at least."
Xander asked.
Giles nodded.
"Okay so what's so bad?"
"Along with the slayer receiving the full extent of the vampire side she also
stops aging." he said. He kept his head down not wanting to see Willows face.
Instead he reread it but it said the same thing it had before.
"You mean she will be immortal? Live forever?" Willow said quietly.
Giles looked up and nodded.
"Oh god why?"
"The rest of the prophecy says the darkness and evil will grow and will need
a powerful slayer to fight it." he answered her not knowing if he should
have.
Willow shook her head and dropped down in a chair.
Spike stepped in front of her and kneeled down. He took her hands in his and
said "Willow it will be okay." he whispered.
She kept shaking her head. "No, it won't my own child is going to live
forever. She won't be able to have a normal life. And I-I'm just going to be
there. Getting older and older."
"No, you won't" he said firmly.
"What? What do you mean I won't? No where does it say anything about me not-.
Oh. Ohhhh. No, I can't do that Spike."
"Yes, you can. You gave Angel back his soul didn't you?"
She nodded.
"Then we give you back yours. We don't do it now. We do it later. When she is
older. Okay?" he said almost pleading with her.
"Spike we can't do that." she said close to tears.
"Yes, we can." he said almost angrily. He was not going to sit by and watch
her age and live the rest of his undead life without her.
She shook her head.
"Willow this way we could be together. You could be with your child. Our
child."
The 'our' part must have struck a nerve because she looked up at him.
"Yes, ours Willow. You know we could do the whole happy family thing. Except
for a really long time. Don't you want to be happy?"
She nodded.
"Then this is your way of being happy. With me and our child."
Was he right? Could she really be happy like that? She would be a demon. She
would never see day. She would never eat human food. But she would be with
Spike and there child. She knew that she would give up everything else to be
with them. She shut her eyes, took a deep breath, and swallowed. She nodded.
When her eyes opened again he was smiling. It was a happy smiling. Not one of
the usual evil Spikey smiles.
"So do I get to tell soulboy or do you?"
She smiled. "You know in a few years you are going to have to stop that. It
might hurt my feeling." she stood up looked at the others. She noticed Angels
face seemed to look different. He must have heard. She shrugged at him. "Um.
Hey guys." She spoke up nervously. Everyone turned to her. "Spike made me an
offer and I accepted it. Although it won't happen now or probably not in the
very near future but a few years down the line it will."
"Willow cut to the chase." Buffy said. Couldn't anyone get to the point
anymore?
"All right sorry. Spike will vamp me." she said quickly. But it was obvious
they understood.
"Willow..." Giles said but was unable to continue. Buffy and Xander where
speechless.
"Giles we have the soul restoration spell. You just give me back my soul.
Look I didn't think it was a good idea either. But with Spike living for ever
and now my child living forever.... I can't just let myself age and die. I
may be giving up a lot but if it means staying with Spike and 'our' child
it's worth it. And don't even try talking me out of it." she said sternly.
"Yep we'll be a big ol bloody family for eternity." Spike put in.
Giles opened his mouth but Buffy cut him off. "It won't work Giles." Buffy
said.
"Nope. She's doing the old resolved face thing." Xander agreed.
Willow smiled at them and turned to Giles. He let out a sigh. "All right all
right."
"And don't worry. We'll have Uncle Angel around." she said brightly for
Spike. And smiled when he growled.
Everyone stood in silence. The page revealed and decisions made there seemed
little else to talk about.
"Soooo. Picked out any names yet?" Xander asked.
Part 12
"Willow!" Buffy screamed, as she ran into Willow's and Spike's place.
"Back here! Dammit Spike! Let go!" she screamed.
"Stop yelling at me!" he yelled back.
Buffy followed the screaming. "Spike! Shut up! The damn girl is in labor."
She ran over and grabbed Willow's things. "Come on."
Spike followed them all the way to the door before Buffy pushed him back.
"It's daylight!"
"I know that you bloody slayer!" he growled.
"So that means you stay here. Then when it gets dark, you come."
"Come on Buffy!" Willow yelled from the car.
"Oh yeah." Buffy slammed the door in Spike's face and ran to the car.
Spike picked up an object and threw it against the wall. He was a nervous
wreck.
~~~~~

"Where is Spike?" Willow asked angrily.

"Willow, I don't know. You asked me 5 minutes ago, and I didn't know then."

Buffy was doing her best to remain calm, but Willow was being plain old

grouchy.

"Willow!" Xander exclaimed, as he rushed in the hospital room with Cordelia

behind him.

"Xander. I didn't think you would get here," Willow said relieved.

"Well, when Giles called we high tailed it out of LA. You should have seen

Angel's face!" he said quickly.

Willow looked confused and turned to Cordelia.

"Caffeine. He had a lot of coffee. But Angel's face was classic. He is

probably on his way down here already sense the sun set. Speaking of sun

setting, where is the daddy to be?" Cordelia asked, looking around.

Willow's face clouded over.

"He isn't here yet," Willow replied with a scowl.

"Willow, calm down. He'll be here," Buffy reassured her.

"Well, he better have a rational explanation. Like the world was ending or a

demon was eating people."

"It's possible," Buffy said.

"Buffy, shut up," Willow said through her teeth.

"You see. This is what I have had to put up with these past few hours," she

complained angrily.

"Oh yeah. You have been through-AAAAA!!" Willow screamed and gripped the bed.

"What's wrong?" Cordelia asked worried.

"Contraction. Nothing big. I think she just wants attention. Willow, breathe

remember. Breathe." she said and walked up to her.

"Don't tell me to breathe," she growled out.

"Fine," Buffy said. She sat down and grabbed a magazine.

"Buffy, maybe you need a break," Xander said, pulling Buffy up.

"A break? I don't think so. I've handled a lot more terrible thing then a

bitchy pregnant woman in labor before," she said loud enough for Willow to

hear.

"I am not bitchy!" Willow yelled back.

Xander shut the door and turned back to Willow.

"Well, say something," she ordered.

He opened his mouth to speak but was cut off by yelling from another one of

Willow's contractions.

"What the hell is all that bloody yelling about?" Spike asked as he came in.

"Oh well, look who decided to show up. What happened stop for a snack on the

way?" she asked angrily.

"What the hell is her deal?" he asked the two innocent by standers.

"She is in labor. What do you expect? Also she is wearing that hideous

outfit. I mean the pregnant woman clothes where bad enough but this! You

should be lucky no one is taping this Willow. You look terrible," Cordelia

said and threw up her hands at the hopeless situation.

Willow stared at the girl for a moment all her anger forgotten.

"Okay, so get to it. Do your thing," Spike said and pushed his hands forward

for emphasis.

"Do my thing? What do you think I am sitting here for fun? How old are you

Spike? Don't you know anything about pregnant women and labor?" she asked

through gritted teeth.

"Oh wel.l I am so sorry. I must have forgotten about all the other prophecies

where I get women pregnant. It's my fault. After all, this happens to me all

the time!" he shot back.

"Buffy!" Willow yelled.

"Huh?" Buffy asked when she opened the door.

"Stake him," she pointed at Spike.

Buffy smiled evilly and pulled out a stake, walking slowly towards him.

"Okay. What the bloody hell is this?" Spike asked, backing up.

"I have sat here for hours listening to her. Now you are going to die," Buffy

told him.

"Now, wait a bloody minute." He knocked her hand to the side.

"Willow, how are you doing?" the doctor asked, as she walked in.

"I hurt," she pouted.

"Well, yes that would be expected," she smiled. "Now who-" she stopped as the

door was thrown open and a man rushed in and was followed shortly by another

man.

"Hi Angel! How nice of you to show up! Why don't you come stand over by me. I

would like that 'very much,'" she said, a little too happily for Spike.

Angel looked at her oddly but walked over there.

Spike let out a small growl, but it was cut short by Buffy's elbow ramming

into his stomach.

"Is he the father?" the doctor asked and pointed to Angel.

"No. He is," Willow said and pointed at Spike. "Unfortunately."

"Don't worry. They are usually very sweet together," Buffy assured her. "In a

very sickening way."

The doctor nodded. She understood all to well. "Well, Willow I am going to

give you something for that pain. You are having more labor pains then most

women do. But don't worry everything is just fine."

Willow smiled anxiously as the woman stuck the large needle into her.

"Ouch," Xander said, watching the needle.

"Well, I'll be back. I have Mrs. Cook in the room over. Boy does that women

worry," she said and walked out.

Spike pushed away from Buffy and walked to the side of the bed by Willow.

Having a little more self-control, Willow looked at Giles. "Does the extra

labor pains come along with my condition?"

"I would imagine so." He nodded quickly. He had had a little to much coffee

himself.

"Oh, that's cute. She is doing little punches and spin kicks in your tummy!"

Buffy said and patted Willow's stomach. "Don't you worry Aunty Buffy will

teach you all that kind of stuff and we can go hunt demons together!" Buffy

said like she was talking to a baby.

Willow smirked, and Spike knocked her hand away. He grabbed a chair and

pulled it over and sat next to Willow.

~~~~~~
"Son of a bitch!" Willow screamed as she gripped the metal on the sides of
the bed.
"Come on, Willow. Push," the doctor ordered.
Willow pushed as hard as she could. She started breathing heavily. "I am
going to stake you Spike!"
"What is she talking about?"
"Oh. Um, it must be the drugs," Spike explained, trying to clear up the
doctor's confusion.
"It isn't any damn drugs. I am going to put crosses in your bed. Or soak your
sheets in holy water! I swear to god, if they send along another prophecy
making me get pregnant, I am going to rip it up and tell them then can go to
hell! I don't care if the hellmouth opens and sucks us all in!" Willow
screamed, as she gave another push at the doctor's orders.
"She must not take well to drugs," the doctor commented. "Come on Willow
we're almost there."
Willow pushed again. "Bloody hell!" she yelled and squeezed Spike's hand
tightly.
"Hey, that's my word," he protested, forgetting about there current situation.
"I could care less," she growled out.
"Willow push! The baby's head is out!"
Willow pushed with all her might. "Get this damn thing out of me!" Willow
heard crying. She opened her eyes widely. "I-It's out?"
"Yes, Willow. And it's a girl," the doctor said and smiled.
"Want to cut the cord?" the doctor asked Spike, who was trying his best to
look at it from where he was standing. He walked over to the baby. The last
thing he remembered was a gasp from Willow before, he fell down to the ground.
~~~~~

"He is such a ninny."

"Oh, come on. If I was in there I would have probably fainted too."

"Yeah, but this is Spike. Big, bad Spike. Who fainted at child birth. He

didn't even have to do anything, and he fainted."

Spike groaned and sat up.

"Well, look who decided to join us," Buffy said, smirking at him.

"What happened?" he asked and shook his head.

"You fainted," she said simply.

"I did not faint," he said angrily.

"Yes, you did. Just like a girl. Right Xander?" Buffy asked and turned to

Xander.

He wasn't all that comfortable with telling a vampire that he fainted. "Yeah.

Um, you fainted."

Spike growled.

"Shhhh," Buffy said quickly. "Now do you want to see the baby first or

Willow?"

"Is Willow okay?"

Buffy nodded. "Come on. Let's go see your little baby slayer." She pulled

him up off of the chair. "You know I heard that when the doctor smacked her

butt, she turned right around and punched her back. Yep, that's slayer for

ya." Buffy nodded.

"Don't be stupid," he angrily and rubbed the knot on the back of his head.

"I'm serious." Once they had gotten to the right floor and she pulled him in

front of a window and said, "Here we are. She's right there. But I don't know

how you could miss her with that hair. It's kind of bright."

Spiked walked up to the window and pressed his head against it. This had to

have been the weirdest thing ever Well, what better way to be remembered

forever then as the vampire who fathered a slayer? Yep, everyone was going to

remember Spike.

"Come on. I'm sure Willow wants to see you," Buffy said quietly, as she

stared at the baby. The next few years where going to be very interesting.

~~~~~
Spike opened the door to found everyone crowded around Willow.
"Spike! Are you okay!?" she asked worried. All of her earlier anger and
resentment were gone.
"Yeah, yeah. I am bloody fine," he mumbled and walked over to Willow. She
smiled up at him brightly. He forgot all about the bump on his head and her
harsh words and smiled back against his will. He couldn't stay upset. He
leaned down and kissed her on her forehead.
"Well, I think we will take a walk outside," Giles said and ushered everyone
out.
"How do you feel?"
"Tired and I hurt. But nothing that won't go away. Did you see her?" she
asked anxiously and grabbed his hand pulling him into the chair next to her.
"Yeah, I saw her." He wasn't really into the whole baby thing.
"Isn't she beautiful?" she asked happily.
"Yeah, she's not too shabby," he agreed.
"Spike....."Willow frowned.
"What?" he asked innocently.
"Hey!" Xander exclaimed and rushed in.
"What the bloody hell do you want?" Spike asked angrily. "Can't you see she
is trying to rest?"
"Oh chill, dead boy junior. I just have a question." He turned around and
looked at the others who where waiting. "What is the baby's name?"
"Oh, um." Willow looked at Spike.
"Yeah yeah yeah," he agreed ending an argument that had continued over the
past few months.
She smiled and kissed him then turned back to the others. " 'We've decided to
name her Briana."
"Briana." Xander bit his lip and nodded. "Yeah, I guess that will work."
"I think it's cute." Buffy nodded.
Willow sighed and laid her head back. Nothing would ever be the same again.
But as different as everything would be she had to admit she was looking
forward to it.
The End
