Fran plays Joy Miller, a beautician who was teaching a night class one night and because of a bunsen burner mishap is suddenly propelled into the headlines...

...and hired to teach the children by a not so benevolent dictator, Boris Pochenko. She proceeds to take over the castle, by teaching the staff how to make 'Lucy' hors d'oeuvres...

and eventually winning the heart of Boris as well as his country.
