Lauren Lane in The Nanny Special

In an unscheduled program that appeared in Germany, first in 1999 and again in early 2001, this show which lasted approximately 25 minutes, (including commercials), was simply referred to as The Nanny Special. It was made up of interviews with Fran Drescher, Charles Shaughnessy, Daniel Davis and Lauren Lane.

The Interview

Lauren Lane: What I like in CC Babcock is that she’s so over the top; in her own world, like a rock in the surf, but nevertheless she’s completely insecure; never gets what she wants. But it’s a lot of fun playing someone who tries, in mischievous ways, to get what she wants. Besides, she’s a clown. I mean, of all characters she’s the one you can get the most out of.

Lauren Lane (re: Fran’s and Max’s marriage): Many vicious
possibilities to separate the two of them.

I would like to express my gratitude towards a very generous soul who took these snaps and passed them on to me so that I could share it with all of you. Thanks Bettina! And a *BIG* thank you to Carmen and Bettina for interpreting this interview for me!
