Peter Marc Jacobson
Peter wore many hats and I'm not talking berets or fedoras. He was a big part of how The Nanny came to be. The original table draft of The Pilot was scripted by himself, Fran, Rob Sternin and Pru Fraser, after Fran easily sold the idea to him of course.
Peter also co-wrote: Title/Episode #
Christmas Episode 1.8
Personal Business 1.9
Schlepped Away 1.16
Take Back Your Mink 2.12
The Will 2.17
The Chatterbox 2.25
Oy to the World 3.13a
Me and Mrs. Joan 4.6
And he directed:
A Star is Unborn 2.7
The Pen Pal 3.1
The Wedding 5.22
Also, he directed most of 6th Season except for
Fran in the Mirror, The Dummy Twins, and Maggie's Wedding.
Peter was also Executive Producer and he appeared three times on the show.
A Star is Unborn - as Romeo
The Pen Pal - as the guy trying to pick up Fran at the bar.
Ma'ternal Affairs - he bumped into Fran just outside of the men's restroom.
But for the people who attended the tapings, he was the one who first made us welcomed.
With microphone in hand, Peter would answer questions from the audience, ask a few himself, and was always ready for anything that may befall and interrupt the inner workings of getting the show taped.
A long day at work!
