ABC RENEWS Once and Again


The ABC Television Network has renewed three of its primetime drama series, "The Practice," "Once and Again" and "NYPD Blue," for the 2000-2001 season. "The Practice" will be returning for its fifth season, "Once and Again" its second, and "NYPD Blue" for its eighth year. Stu Bloomberg and Lloyd Braun, co-chairmen of the ABC Entertainment Television Group, made the announcement.

"We are incredibly proud of all three of these outstanding dramas," said Mr. Braun and Mr. Bloomberg. "We consider each one of them a signature show for our network, and we look forward to another captivating season of dramatic television from some of the best producers in television -- David E. Kelley, Ed Zwick & Marshall Herskovitz, and Steven Bochco."

"Once and Again," executive produced and created by Edward Zwick and Marshall Herskovitz ("thirtysomething," "My So-Called Life" ) won wide critical acclaim when it debuted in September 1999, and quickly became the number-one new drama of the 1999-2000 season among Adults 18-49.
