Once and Again

Then again, sometimes you have to give a great show its head. Yes, the Miles plot on Once and Again (ABC, 10 p.m. ET/PT) went on too long, but it climaxed in two of the best episodes done on TV this season. Now we move on, as the families prepare for next week's season-ending wedding.

Let's not be greedy, and expect television to serve up superlative series in all three hours of prime time tonight. Instead, let's count our blessings and settle for two out of three. Blessing one: NBC's "The West Wing" at 9. Blessing two: ABC's "Once and Again" at 10.

"Once and Again." Business complications have dominated plots the last two weeks, but tonight, personal problems return to the forefront — especially when Lily and Rick (Sela Ward, Billy Campbell) finally engineer a dual-family move into the same hectic household.
