Stoltz Joins 'Once and Again'

LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - Eric Stoltz is returning to TV to play a recurring character on ABC's "Once and Again." The Golden Globe-nominated actor will play Grace's teacher, August Dimitri, when the drama returns to the network's schedule this fall on Friday, Sept. 21 at 10 p.m.

Stoltz will appear in at least seven episodes as a charismatic and inspiring, although difficult, teacher who has a profound impact on Grace's life (played by Julia Whelan). The character will appear throughout the show's entire third season.

"Once and Again" stars Sela Ward and Billy Campbell as two divorced parents who get a second chance at love. At the end of last season, Lily Manning (Ward) and Rick Sammler (Campbell) tied the knot, with plans to integrate the two separate families.

Stoltz has appeared in a number of films, including "The Mask," "Single White Female," "Mr. Jealousy" and, more recently, "House of Mirth." His TV credits include a role on "Chicago Hope" and guest roles on "Mad About You" and "St. Elsewhere." Most recently, Stoltz appeared in the Showtime films "Things Behind the Sun" and "My Horrible Year!," the latter of which he also directed. __ Zap2it.com (August 23, 2001)
