TV Caucus Nominates 14

The Caucus for Television Producers, Writers and Directors has tapped 14 nominees, including three from "The West Wing," for its 18th annual awards at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Jan. 14.

Writer candidates are James L. Brooks ("The Simpsons," "Mary Tyler Moore"), Jason Cahill ("The Sopranos"), David Milch ("NYPD Blue"), Tom Rickman ("Tuesdays With Morrie") and Aaron Sorkin ("The West Wing").

Producers chasing laurels are Donald P. Bellisario ("JAG," "Quantum Leap"), David Chase ("The Sopranos"), Darren Star ("Sex and the City"), John Wells ("The West Wing," "ER") and Edward Zwick & Marshall Herskovitz ("My So-Called Life," "Once & Again").

Nominated directors are Jeff Bleckner ("Beach Boys: An American Family," "Flowers for Algernon"), James Burrows ("Friends," "Mary Tyler Moore"), Rod Holcomb ("ER," "China Beach") and Thomas Schlamme ("The West Wing").

Noms came from the org's steering committee, and the winners will be selected by the 200 members.__Daily Variety (December 19, 2000)
