TV Guide Cheers and Jeers

JEERS to leaden lead-ins. We were a bit surprised that one of the reasons David Letterman was said to be considering a jump from CBS to ABC was CBS's failure to provide his Late Show with strong lead-in programming. Would ABC really do a better job? Just ask the producers of the critically acclaimed Once and Again. After two seasons of here, there and everywhere scheduling, the family drama finally landed at 10 pm/ET Mondays. The bad news? The series's lead-in was the moronic Chair.
