Blurb reviews for "Chaos Theory"

From Gist.com:

Ever the optimist, Lily (Sela Ward) has big plans for her first blended-family Thanksgiving dinner. It doesn't take long for those plans to go awry, what with Grace (Julia Whelan) and Jessie (Evan Rachel Wood) at odds and on-the-job stress making Rick (Billy Campbell) crazy. Oh, and there's also a plumbing problem that could prove disastrous.

From Mike Duffy:
Holiday blues. It's a bittersweet Thanksgiving for frenzied Lily (Sela Ward) and lonely Karen (Susanna Thompson), each sorting through their unrealistic expectations for the holiday. Superlative writing, terrific acting. __ Detroit Free Press

From Tim Cuprisin:
Although you're sick of turkey, the cast is still celebrating Thanksgiving, the first holiday for the newlyweds and their blended family of troubled kids. __ Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel

From David Biancuili:
Here's another Thanksgiving episode of a family TV series, one that can be counted on to be both tender and intense, as well as both funny and dramatic. __ Dallas Ft. Worth Star-Telegram

From Rita Sherrow:
There's not much thanks on Thanksgiving on "Once and Again" at 9 p.m. Friday on ABC, channel 8. Lily (Sela Ward) is trying to master her first mammoth holiday feast without the traditional angst, while Rick's first wife, Karen (Susanna Thompson) is spending her holiday alone. Count this episode as your first Christmas gift from ABC. __ The Tulsa World

From TVGal:
Is there any show that exposes the angst of every day life better than "Once and Again" (Friday, ABC, 10 p.m.)? Last week Karen wandered the house in her bathrobe for the entire day, having an exclusive pity party for one, remembering Thanksgivings of years past when her family was all together and wallowing in her inherent loneliness. It wasn't that Karen didn't have a place to go (she declined a friend's invitation), it was more that she couldn't bear to be part of anyone's happiness on this painful day. This type of sadness -- a highly functioning woman who just took a day off -- isn't often shown on television. Now I like this plumber Raul. Let's hope he gives Tiffany a call and shows Jake what he's missing out on. __ Zap2it.com
