Roush Review --
It isn't all pain. Once and Again is surprisingly entertaining and dizzily romantic, as in the episode where Lily's sister, Judy (Marin Hinkle), turns her bookstore into a lonely-hearts club. And the series enters provocative new territory whenever David Clennon appears, reprising his devilish thirtysomething character of Miles Drentell, Rick's most maddening yet challenging client. As Miles urges Rick to aim his architectural sights higher, Lily gets a look at Rick's ambitious nature and doesn't like it. Expect fireworks, and tearful waterworks. Angst can be so delicious._TvGuide Online (October 30, 2000)

Once and AgainBook Lovers
This bittersweet, romantic episode gives considerably more screen time to the series' adult cast, especially its able supporting players. In the main storyline, Lily's sister Judy (Marin Hinkle) turns her bookstore into a matchmaking parlor, where likeminded readers may link up. The novel idea draws a whole new clientele, which includes Lily's boss, Christie (Jennifer Crystal Foley), and Lily's ex-husband, Jake (Jeffrey Nordling), who's wearying of his girlfriend, Tiffany. And, as it turns out, there's an attraction of sorts brewing between Judy and a candid, charismatic handyman (Mark Valley) who's fixing up the place.__TVGuide (October 28 - November 3, 2000)
Once and Again
Judy (Marin Hinkle) has a great idea for the bookstore: Turn it into a mecca for singles. She calls her program Booklovers, making that the store's new name while she's at it. Folks looking for love post their photos and a little personal info -- including their favorite books -- on a special bulletin board in the store. Then on Booklovers Night, they can check out the possibilities in person. But like any new venture, this one hits its share of snags -- Lily (Sela Ward) lets her down, the new outdoor lounge (formerly the alley) isn't finished on time. In fact, Judy is so preoccupied that she fails to notice a hot prospect for herself is right under her nose. Billy Campbell also stars in "Booklovers.")__tvgrid.com (October 26, 2000Cast Call: Lily, Rick, Judy, Grace, Zoe, Karen, Jake, Christie, David
