ABC Postpones Fall Premieres LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - Responding to the current national tragedy, ABC followed NBC and CBS' lead of pushing much of its new fall lineup back a week to make way for added news coverage and specials.
Among the shows to remain unchanged are "Miss America" on Saturday, Sept. 22 at 8 p.m., the two-hour season premiere of "The Practice" on Sunday, Sept. 23 at 9 p.m., the spy drama "Alias" on Sunday, Sept. 30 at 9 p.m. (which will air without commercial interruption) and the New York-based "The Job" on Wednesday, Oct. 10.
The weekend of Saturday, Sept. 15, the network cleared airtime for extended news coverage, including the live news special hosted by Peter Jennings, "Answering Kids' Questions: An ABC News Special," which will air 10-12 a.m. ET (7-9 a.m. PT). The special will be followed by an encore presentation of Jennings' six-hour retrospective, "The Century." Later that evening, the Eye will air the romantic feature "Hope Floats," starring Sandra Bullock and Harry Connick Jr.
Meanwhile, "Philly" will now premiere on Tuesday, Sept. 25, while "The Mole II: The Next Betrayal" and "Thieves" have been pushed to Friday, Sept. 28
