January 28, 2002
Over the past two weeks, fans of ABC's "Once and Again" have been campaigning to keep the show on the air. Thousands of fans have written letters, sent emails and called ABC to let them know that the fans ARE watching "Once and Again" and pleading with ABC to give the show a permanent home. Through the Internet fans formed an organized effort, appointing leaders for each aspect of the campaign. Buzz about the show is increasing, with hits to the principal fan website https://www.angelfire.com/tv/onceagain/ increasing over 570% in the past two weeks
The fans, however, are not stopping there. Hundreds of fans from across the United States and Canada have contributed to fund an ad in The Hollywood Reporter. The money was raised in less than a week and the advertisement will appear in Tuesday's weekly edition (January 29, 2002). Marc Levenson, the organizer of this aspect of the campaign, states the following: "Sadly, the seven time changes over the past two and half years have made it difficult for viewers to find "Once and Again". The fans feel as though ABC is not promoting the show enough, so we have gotten together and raised money to promote this wonderful show ourselves."
All other aspects of the save "Once and Again" campaign remain in full effect. To view a detailed description, please refer to the following websites:
