Memorable Quotes:
Penny: Right, see what I mean? See the hostility, the way they're wary with each other, not to mention the constant bickering and name calling. Now, these two clearly are in the early stages of some screwball mating ritual.
Pacey: What?
Joey: Ok, you've got it wrong, Lady.
Penny: Really, I do?
Pacey: Oh, completely.
Joey: Actually, you could not be more wrong.
Penny: There's enough sexual tension here to power a Kiss reunion tour.

Pacey: Look at that girl, Dawson. (he points to Joey) Just take a good look. She's a freaking goddess, man. How long did you think it was gonna be before some guy comes along and is interested in her? I mean, really, dude!

Memorable Quotes:
Pacey: Let me tell you something, man. It's no picnic, okay? That Potter girl, she ain't easy, alright? She's physically incapable of keeping her mouth shut for more than two seconds at a time. She's got an opinion about everything. I mean, it's uncanny, alright?

Also at the party is Jack's one-time girlfriend Kate, who is visiting Capeside in hopes of recovering from the blow of her recent break-up - her boyfriend announced that he was gay. Jack wrestles with his conscience over whether to tell her about his own homosexuality, while Dawson puts his conscience on ice in order to hook up with the needy Kate. Meanwhile, Henry scrapes up cash for his big date with Jen by persuading the blood bank to accept yet another pint - only 48 hours after his last visit. Jen, who has been hoping for a storybook evening, has to contend with a dating disaster when Henry's vein drain catches up with him.

Memorable Quotes:
Doug: Is she pretty?
Pacey: Yeah, she is pretty. She is very, very pretty. She's actually the kind of pretty that gives you butterflies, you know what I mean?

Joey: You gotta learn to read between the banter, Pacey.

Episode #315 -- "Crime and Punishment"
Summary
: Joey is proud to have finished her mural for the school and Pacey is the only one to get an advance peak at her work. At the official unveiling, however, jaws drop along with the cloth that reveals that in the night, someone has horribly defaced and ruined Joey's painting. Dawson and Pacey immediately want to come to her rescue and find the culprit, but Joey's far too dispirited to care. While Dawson then takes the tack of trying to get Joey to start over on her work, Pacey determines to nail the offender. Meanwhile, Andie finally comes to terms with the fact that she's been overly harsh in her role as disciplinary committee head - and realizes that it's because of the guilt she carries over her own terrible and undisclosed crime -cheating on the PSAT. After confessing to a shocked Jack, she decides that she's got to come clean. As Pacey zeros in on the rich and smug Matt Caulfield as the perpetrator, Joey is confused by his heroic efforts on her behalf, and it takes more than the restoration of justice to sort out the changing feelings between these friends.

Memorable Quotes:
Joey: So you guys just traded me off like some sort of baseball card? Is that what this is about?
Pacey: What?
Joey: Us! You and me. I--I thought that...
Pacey: Thought what?
Joey: I guess I thought something else, Pacey.

Joey: Pacey, if I was going to thank you for anything, it would be for being yourself, and, you know, for not caring about what anybody else thinks, and, and for knowing in your heart what's right and wrong, and... for being there this year... when I needed you the most.

Episode #316 -- "To Green, With Love"
Summary
: The expulsion of mural-defacer Matt Caufield, whose father is a rich and prominent member of the community, prompts an enraged reaction from a group of parents who rally around Matt's family and demand that the school superintendent overturn Principal Green's decision. The parents' frenzy over what they see as a terrible injustice leads the superintendent to demand that if Green chooses not to reverse his decision about Caufield, he will be forced to resign. Joey and the gang are appalled by what they recognize to be an angry mob mentality and possible racist reaction on the part of the parental group, and decide to try and make the students' voices heard. At first it seems hopeless to try to rally their schoolmates, but Joey's friend A.J. comes down from college to convince her that she has the power to make a difference. This is a big help to Joey and her quest, but cause for consternation for Pacey, who has been fighting right alongside her the whole time. As time begins to run out, Joey and her friends as well as some of the adult players in this showdown discover new things about themselves by fighting the good fight.

Memorable Quotes:
Pacey: Think back with me for just a second. Do you remember how this whole thing started? It started with a girl, a wall, and a paint brush. (Pacey holds up a paint brush)
Joey: You bought me a paint brush?
Pacey: No, lame-o! I stole this from your permanent collection. (pointing to the wall in front of them)
Joey: You bought me a wall?
Pacey: Not bought, rented. And this thing didn't come cheap, either. It cost me 100 bucks.
Joey: You bought me a wall?
Pacey: You said that already. Look, it's a limited time offer, so you should get cracking.

Joey: Pacey, you're unbelievable. I mean, as soon as I think I've got you all figured out, you go and you do something so outrageous that, it completely challenges me in a way that no one else would even think of. In case I don't say it enough, thank you.

Episode #317 -- "Cinderella Story"
