Residence: Sweetwater
Occupation: Rider for the Pony Express
Romantic Interest: Lou's heart has always belonged to The Kid from the day they met, though she did share a kiss with James Bulter Hickok.
Identifying Characteristics: Louise is a spry young woman, small in stature but she rides as tall as any man. She is independent, having been on her own since she was quite young. She doesn't like to be told what to do and doesn't take kindly to others that try to dictate her life. Because of her experiences at such a young age, Louise is often untrusting, thought she always tries to give others the benefit of the doubt.
Louise's mother died when she was young, leaving her to raise her two younger siblings, Teresa and Jeremiah. After spending time in an orphanage, Louise left, vowing to return for her brother and sister when she was able to support them.
After suffering the abuses of men in a time common for such treatment, Louise donned boys clothing to gain employment with the Pony Express. It was through this guise that Louise became "Lou", just another male rider in a company that would hire only men. Because of this, Lou is quite cautious, needing anonymity to keep her secret.
Lou lost her heart to Kid from the moment they met. During her first run with Russell, Majors and Wydell, Lou was shot in the stomach during an ambush. It was Kid that rescued her, caring for her wounds but also learning of her true identity. It is this bond that brought the two together, making them nearly inseparable.
