Name: Mary Travis
Residence: Four Corners
Relations: Daughter-in-Law to Judge Orin Travis, Mother to Billy Travis
Occupation: Editor for the Clarion News
Romantic Interest: Mary was married to Stephen Travis, but was widowed when Billy was just a boy. Mary has an interest in gunslinger Chris Larabee, though she tries to hide her attraction.
Identifying Characteristics: Mary has high morals. So high in fact, that she often finds herself having to decide between what's right and what's decent. Mary is driven by the desire to improve the living conditions in Four Corners, by trying to rid the town of the "bad elements". Mary's ultimate goal is to return Four Corners to a town that is safe enough to raise children so that her son may return home.
Mary is an advocate for a great many causes, including Indian rights, Statehood, and Criminal Rehabilitation. She takes a strong stance for woman's rights and puts a great deal of faith in the Law.
Although a bit reserved, Mary is a good-natured individual. She enjoys being around people and has a great deal of respect for all nationalities. Her relationship with the Seven has been kept professional, although there definitely exists a mutual attraction between Mary and the leader of the Seven, Chris Larabee. Only time will tell if Mary will be able to mend his broken heart.
