Has Shawn Found Love? DAYS' Jason Cook candidly chats about his alter ego's emotions "It's really starting to happen now between Shawn and Belle. I'm really excited about it. The fans want to see the romance. It's slowly getting there. Shawn is oblivious to only one thing-his feelings for Belle. He's pretty in tune with everything else. He's got an opinion on everything. However, the one thing that makes him really nervous and really uncomfortable is talking about Belle. He gets all nervous and fidgets. In real life, if there's a girl I like, I'm really shy and nervous. I can be very outgoing, but all of sudden... still I'm not as bad as Shawn. As Shawn, I'm taking it to an extreme and I'm having fun with it. It's the flaw in my character that Belle can fix. It's laying the groundwork for great things to come. Shawn isn't uncaring or insensitive. In fact, everything that's happened with his little brother really touches him. Shawn went through a period of not caring about his family. He was upset about all the bad stuff that had happened in the past. Finally, he's been able to get back to the responsible youth that he is, becasue Shawn does have good morals that have been implanted by his family. Even though they haven't been around all the time, Shawn has a very close relationship with his parents, and the baby is bringing the Brady family even closer. He's garnering a lot of respect for his parnts. It's really touching him. Shawn is the type of guy who would never really cry, but there's a vulnerable aspect to him. It's only when things like the baby's illness or on a happier level with Belle where you see a normal Shawn. Usually, he's in control and he can handle himself, but all of a sudden, certain things throw him off kilter. My character is growing and I'm really excited about it. And the story about building a house for Mimi's family. It's such a cool thing to do! It's a different kind of teen story-original!- and I'm really lucky to be part of it."
