Michael Redmond- Stand-up and actor Michael Redmond's distinctive features are immediately recognisable from his role as Father Stone in the celebrated Channel Four series "Father Ted". Michael started his career scripting comedy for the Irish radio and television. He moved to London in 1987, and quickly established himself on the stand-up circuit. "Eamon, Older Brother of Jesus", his Radio 4 comedy series and his 1996 Edinburgh Fringe Festival show at the Gilded Balloon, was an enormous success. He has made many television appearances using his own material, the most recent being Comedy Nation for BBC2. His other television credits included Friday Night Live - LWT, Clive Anderson Talks Back - Channel Four, Just for Laughs - Channel Four and The Stand-up Show for BBC2. Last year he returned to his roots and performing his own unique stand-up style and storytelling in "Granny's Up On The Roof Rack Again" which ran at the Gilded Balloon during the Edinburgh Festival.

Gordon Brunton- Stand-up Compere Gordon has toured nationally with: Phil Kay and John Cooper-Clark, playing among others- The Comedy Store in London. Gordon’s genial manner makes him an ideal compere, presenter and TV warm-up man. His credits include: Space Cadets for C4 with William Shatner and as guest presenter on ‘Wheel Nuts’ also on C4. This year he compered the charity concert for Kosovo, at the Edinburgh Playhouse: A touch of comic originality..***** Evening News. Gordon is in constant demand as a headliner but has supported: Johnny Vegas, Fred MacAulay, Scott Capurro and Greg Proops. He has three sold-out fringe runs under his belt and appeared on and contributed to: Radio Scotland, Scot FM and 106.2 FM.

Viv Gee- Part of double act, Stand-up, Actor and Compere Viv began her career as a comic at the tender age of 15. After appearing in the finals of the 1993 'So You Think Your Funny ?' competition she began performing in comedy venues throughout the UK. With many Radio and TV credits to her name Viv is also an accomplished compere, Glasgow's Hogmanay at the Main stage 1997, Cabaret Stage at T in the Park 1998 and is the regular host at Blackfriars Comedy Club in Glasgow. In January this year Viv was voted by the Sunday Times as one of the likely movers and shakers of the coming millenium.

Joe Heenan- Stand-up, Actor and Compere Joe began his career four years ago and shortly afterwards achieved 2nd place in the 1995 ' So You Think Your Funny ?' competition. He Has Performed extensively on the Scottish circuit and all over the UK, including appearances at the Cosmic Comedy Club and the Comedy Store in London. Last year he was TV face of 'The Scottish Sun' and has recently completed a successful run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Last year he toured ‘Celtic Cream, a show featuring some of the best new talent out of Scotland and Ireland. TV and Radio credits include: hosting 2 BBC digital TV programmes and as the host of ‘20th Century Jocks’ on Radio Scotland.

Jimmy Mooney- Stand-up A popular character on the Scottish circuit, Jimmy's act presents a wide range of material that appeals to all types of audience. Having appeared at most of the venues on the Scottish circuit, he has also set up his own club in Dundee. He has also written for the BBC and Independent television. After the huge success of jimmy’s fringe "Cream of Scottish ", he toured extensively around Britain with Phil Kay, Gordon Brunton and Marian Kilpatrick. Jimmy performs regularly on radio in his native Dundee and doing corporate entertainment.

Gavin Stott aka Reg Anderson Stand-up and Cabaret Act Reg has a very original stand-up style with his own hilariously funny view of the world. Combining: ‘illusion’, comedy and music. His high energy act took him to the 1997 final of the Hackney Empire New Act of the Year. A self-confessed ‘humble genius’, Reg has a cult following and continues to make a big splash on the British comedy circuit with his brand of 'spoof cabaret'. He has had three successful Fringe shows at the Gilded Balloon. Very suitable for student venues. Not for the faint-hearted.

Dave Williams- Stand-up and compere Inspired to take up comedy by an emerging Eddie Izzard, Dave is now a regular on the UK comedy circuit. Venues include: Jongleurs and Comedy Store in London, Manchester, glasgow, Paisley and the last two highland festivals. He has toured twice with Rhona Cameron; all over Scotland and at the Newcastle Comedy Festival. TV credits and radio include, warm-up for C4’s Space Cadets, BBC’s Velvet Cabaret and TGIF on Radio Scotland. He has now performed twice on the fringe at the Gilded Balloon, doing a eclectic mix of character and stand-up about the joys of Coffee.

Craig Hill- Stand-up, Actor and Cabaret Act An actor with a natural flair for stand-up; Craig’s ability to sing like the great Diva’s as you’ve never heard them before mixed with his incisive observations on modern pop music; have won him great acclaim. After winning 1st runner-up in the Comedy Store’s Hooch Comedy Awards 98; Craig was followed by channel 4’s ‘Edinburgh or Bust’, as a newcomer, last year. He has since gone on to do gigs all over UK: Jongleurs in London - to rave reviews- Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester and Scotland Culminating in a show on the Edinburgh firnge’99. Most recently he has been playing as far afield as Antwerp and Brussels.

Colin Ramone- Stand-up and Writer A regular on the comedy circuit for the last year. Reached the semi-finals of The BBC New Comedy Awards on the strength of his first gig. He has played many Scottish clubs including, The State Bar, Jesters Comedy Club and The Velvet Rooms. Colin has supported Bill Bailey, Phil Kay, Fred MacAulay, Donna McPhail, Parrot and Vladimir McTavish. He has already graced the London comedy scene and has done open spots with The Comedy Store and Ha Bloody Ha. Colin is also an accomplished comedy writer and has contributed to the BBC's "Don't Touch That Dial", " Pulp Video" on BBC2 and has written and performed for " T.G.I.F." on Radio Scotland. Colin was joined in‘98 in the Edinburgh Festival by the equally outstanding comic Susanne Fraser at the Gilded Balloon performing "A Night of 100 Bars". In fringe ’99 he appeared with three others comics in The Midnight Show.

Marian Kilpatrick- Stand-up and Actor Marian was a finalist in The New Comedy Award 1996, which was recorded for the BBC1's "The Stand-up Show". She then went on to be a semi-finalist in The Daily Telegraph Open Mic competition 1996 and to support Scott Cappuro on the Scottish leg of his tour. Having appeared or compered at the major Scottish venues like The Lemon Tree in Aberdeen, Blackfriars in Glasgow and the Gilded Balloon in Edinburgh. Now based in London Marian regularly performs at the main London comedy venues, The Comedy Store, The Cosmic Club and The Comedy Caf?.In other areas Marian has done warm up work for Radio 4 and Absolutely Television and was invited to perform at Glastonbury 1997. Marian is an accomplished writer and has done commissions for the BBC's " Retorting Scotland" and "We Was Robbed" in which she also performed.

Jill Peacock- Part of double act with Viv Gee, Stand-up and Writer Jill is a writer , comic poet and nude model ( tasteful of course). She was the Young Playwright of the Year in 1987 / 1989 and a " So You Think Your Funny " entrant in 1991. Jill is an ex-columnist for the Evening Times newspaper and has featured regularly on Radio One and BBC Radio Scotland. She was also seen on a Channel Four short and on STV's Scottish Women. Jill has also hosted Glasgow's Hogmanay 1997 at George Square in front of 40,000 people. She is one half of the superbly funny double act: Viv and Jill. Who have had three successful fringe runs and numerous TV performances. They present an imaginative mix of poems, sketches and stand-up in their own inimitable style.

David Keay- Stand-up and Writer Finalist in the 1996 " So You Think Your Funny " competition and semi-finalist on the BBC New Comedy Awards, David has proved popular on the comedy circuit supporting fellow Scot Frankie Boyle. David toured extensively in what remained of 1996, including a supporting slot with Shooting Stars team Captain Mark Lamarr - giving David vast experience and a mine of new material. In the early months of 1997 David followed the call to London and has proved a hit on the London scene where he continues to go from strength to strength.

Susanne Fraser- Stand-up, Character Act, Actor and Compere Susanne’s use of audience participation and improvisational skills make her the ideal compere, she has a winning personality . She combines comedy with writing (over 8 plays), leading workshops in comedy and acting- recently appearing at the Scottish international Children’s Festival- and playing Miss Scarlet in murder mysteries. She has multiple personalities; in one guise stand-up and compere, in another, H M Bayonette- a cross between Oswald Mosely and Joyce Grenfel and lastly- comedy psychic; Madam Moo Moo "Mystic Meg on acid, very surreal but pretty dam funny". She has appeared on Scottish women, warm-up for STV, a docu-comedy for S2 and featured on the Edinburgh, Brighton and Llangollen fringes.
