Commonly know as Buffy on TV, this Emmy Award-winning actress Sarah Michelle Gellar is a veteran of television, theater and film.
To fight evil demons and vampires as Buffy requires a knowledge of martial arts which coincidentally was one of Sarah Michelle's hobbies before she landed Buffy on the tube. SMG spends her free-time on and off the set training with Buffy's stunt coordinator in Tae Kwon Do.

Only at the mere age of 15, SMG won an Emmy for her role as Kendall Hart on the soap "All My Children." She played a young Jackie Kennedy in the miniseries "A Woman Named Jackie" and starred with Valerie Harper and Jeff Daniels in "An Invasion of Privacy." Smg's other television credits include "Swans Crossing," "Beverly Hills Family Robinson" and guest-starring roles on "Spenser: For Hire" and "Guiding Light."
In March 1999, Sarah Michelle starred with Ryan Phillipe and Selma Blair in the flick "Cruel Intentions." It was a modern-day retelling of "Dangerous Liaisons" set in Manhattan. A major departure from her tough, kickass role on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," she portrayed a conniving manipulator who conspired to destroy the life of anyone who gets in her way. She also appeared last season in the romantic comedy "Simply Irresistible" as a young restaurant owner.
Her feature film credits include "Funny Farm,""Over the Brooklyn Bridge" and "High Stakes."
On August 12th, 1999, Sarah Michelle signed a contract with Maybelline to become the first celebrity spokeswoman since Linda Carter in the late 70's, and can be seen in television and print advertising for the makeup company.
Sarah Michelle Gellar was born and raised in New York and currently lives in Los Angeles.
