Pagent Pictures

These pictures are from June, 1999, when I was crowned The Queen of the Feast of the Flowering Moon. The Feast is a local celebration of our Native American heritage. We come mainly from the Blackfoot Tribe, though there are many others. I specifically am 1/16th Blackfoot, my Great-Grandmother was full.

The Feast is our opportunity to join in ritualistic dances and celebrations. The Native Americans and some others camp out in our park and create an authintic reproduction of Moutain Men and Native American villages. There are arts and crafts, authentic food, and rowing, along with several other activities.

The Feast is truely a look at the past and a wonderful society.
