"Specimen: Unknown" (1963)
Small, biscuit like thingies are found floating in space by one of our space stations. Turns out they bloom like flowers and emit gas that immediately kills by attacking red blood cells. Unfortunately, some are already enroute to Earth. The spaceship they've taken over crashes and they spread all over the place around the crash site — millions of them. The Earth is doomed.
