Something about Chris ~Part1
"Chris you got what I want I have the money" said a boy, as he handed Chris the money and stuck out his hand in favor of the drugs Chris had for him.
"Yea man, would I let yea down?" asked Chris taking out a small white bag and placing it in the palm of the boys hand. The boy closed up his hand smiling. Chris turned and walked off flowing into the crowd of people as he counted the money he had just earned and stuffed it into his coat pocket. Chris Lowell was a known as the "bad boy" at his school and was not with the in crowd or the out crowd, and considered himself different from everyone else. He walked around the corner nodding at a couple of girls that pouted their lips at him. He walked over to a tall, sandy blonde girl who stuck out her hand and looked at him.
"Hey what's up Chris, feel like trading?" she asked flashing her warm blue eyes at him and dropping a pass at kissing him. He pulled back taking the joint from her hand and kissing her on the cheek.
"Sarah, guess what we just traded but not fully" chuckled Chris as he backed away still looking at Sarah. "There's more were that came from" he spat out licking his lips and then walking out the front door of the school.
"Chris, were yea going, were not done here" called Sarah as she ran after him grabbing onto his shoulders and spinning him around. He looked at her kissing her passionately, and then letting her lips hang on his before pulling away and drawing a liter from his pocket. He lit up the joint.
"Thanks I needed that," said Sarah as she jumped in a yellow sports car that held about five other girls and sped off campus. Chris smiled to himself as he walked to his black BMW. He knew just what to do to girls to get what drugs he wanted or needed at the time. He would kiss them just to make them happy and to make most of them shut up, but kissing was not all he had done with most of them. He opened up the passenger's side of his car and pulled out a box. A few younger high school boys ran up to him holding out bills of money. Chris pulled out a few magazines and what looked like ink pens and handed a few of each to the three boys.
"What's this crap man, it looks like ink pens that you write with, I don't buy it," huffed one of the boys thrusting them back at Chris. Chris took the pens back and looked at the boy.
"This is some home made stuff, you know the same effect only for a better price" said Chris shoving the drugs back at the boy. "It's the same stuff you got from me a few weeks ago, only it's in pens I take out the ink and no one gets caught, they look just like ink pens" smiled Chris dropping the box back into his car and closing the door. "If that's all guys, I have to be some were in less than an hour so pay up and leave" Chris took the money from the boys and got in his car and drove away.
It was around seven in the afternoon and Chris had just returned from a party at his friend's house, he was tired and felt like crap. After messing around with more than five girls with out even getting to know one of them Chris was tired and did not want to drink or smoke anything for the rest of the night or at lest till he needed a fix. Chris pulled up to a big old Victorian looking house. It had a red car in the driveway, and very few lights were on in the house. A young girl sat on the porch and patted her collie dog on the head. Chris walked up pulling his coat around his body and locking his car. The girl jumped up and ran over to him hugging him; she came up to his waist and her pressed her little blonde head full of hair against his stomach.
"Hey Katie, is mom home?" asked Chris looking at the car in the driveway and then picking up his little sister and slinging her over his shoulder playfully. Chris loved his sister Katie and she loved him and had no clue what or where he went. Katie kicked playfully on his shoulder and giggled as he opened the front door to his house walking over and sitting Katie on the soft living room coach and running his hand threw his think red blonde hair.
"Katie where's mom?" asked Chris walking over to the den that then led into the kitchen. Katie followed behind Chris walking as his shadow as he sulked into the den.
"Mom's still at work" replied Katie. Chris's dad sat passed out on the lazy boy chair his head titled back and about six beer cans surrounded the ground around him. Chris walked over to his dad and picked up the empty cans throwing them away in the trash. He walked into the kitchen a smell of cold pasta and sauce covered the kitchen. Chris walked over to the pasta dumping the half-eaten plate into the trash. He poured himself and his sister a glass of orange juice. He walked back into the den looking at his dad with sad eyes, the T.V was on and blasting loud. Katie sat down on a near by pillow in front of the TV set, she watched Judge Judy and sipped some of her juice as Chris walked out of the den and up to his room. Chris hated his dad he hated his mom for having to work late just so they could keep their nice house and cars. His dad worked for the state and his mom worked at the near by pottery store. Chris usually came home to his sister waiting for him on the porch with their dog and going in to find no mother and a passed out dad. Chris flopped down on his bed pulling off his coat and tossing it to the floor. He sat up rubbing his blood shot eyes, he hated feeling that he need to take drugs to pass the time by and to get his mind off his family problems.
"Chris" yelled Katie pounding up the stairs, her small blonde pigtails bouncing up and down. "Chris, mom's home" Katie ran into Chris's room jumping on his bed and leaping onto his back. He carried her back down the steps walking in to the den to find his dad awake and his mom fighting with him. His dad yelled at his mom throwing a vase of flowers at the wall and storming towards her. Chris's mom yelled back at him backing away from him. He ran at her punching her repeatedly in the face. She fell to the ground crying for Chris and Katie to get back.
"Mom" cried Chris running towards his mother trying to protect her. He jumped in front of his dad knocking him away from his mom. Katie screamed and ran to her room.
"Chris, go back hon get away" cried his mother getting herself up and walking towards her son. She had a black eye and her lip was bleading. "Chris, go to your room NOW" yelled his mom pointing to the stairs.
"Mom, you can't, you can't keep letting him do this to you, to us, to Katie" yelled Chris as he glared at his parents and ran upstairs. Chris ran into his room slamming the door and falling onto the floor. How could he let his dad hurt his mom like this, how can he let them do this in front of Katie? Chris thought throwing his things around his room, but noting he did could take away the hurt and pain he felt inside. Nothing except drugs. He picked up a bag of coke, pulled out a straw and sniffed the drugs. The bag falls to the ground, empty. (SCENE ENDS)
