.:: Planet FRIENDS .::. Intro to Friends

Now into it's eigth season FRIENDS is STILL growing in popularity. From the very first episode in 1994, FRIENDS has been a hit. The show was created by Marta Kauffman & David Crane & was about 6 people in their 20s surviving in New York. This is how they were introduced to their audience in The Pilot:

Monica Geller-played by Courteney Cox(applause)-was a would be chef.

Her brother Ross-played by David Schwimmer - was a palaeontologist who was in the process of splitting up with his wife.

Rachel Green-played by Jennifer Aniston - was their old friend from high school who'd taken a more traditional path with her life after graduating.

Joey Tribbiani-played by MattLeBlanc - was an unemployed actor who thought he was God's gift.

Phoebe Buffay-played by Lisa Kudrow - was a New Age-y folksinger with a unique take on life.

Chandler Bing-played by Matthew Perry - was a computer programmer who had trouble with, well, just about everything.

We've watched these characters we've grown to love through thick & thin, & we probably will until FRIENDS is over, but until then, FRIENDS fans all over the world will continue to watch & enjoy this great comedy creation!
