 Moreno did not, as widely thought, originate the role
of Ellen. But when the original Ellen disappeared on a flight to Cali,
Columbia, the Columbian born Moreno was more than willing to step in
and take her place. The Columbian Shirley Temple, Moreno appeared in 10
films by the age of 10. Moving to the US at age 10, she quickly picked
up the vernacular and lost her once thick accent. She stole the roll of Ellen at the age of 15 and has been a part of the show for 23 of the first season's 24 episodes, all of the second season, and now the third. She's also focusing on her music career with the release of her new single "I looooovvvveeeee you." Although some say she's just a latina Hillary Duff, she denies that. "There's a big difference better Duff and me. My skin colour is natural." |
