Lucy Lawless
Lucy Ryan was born on March 29, 1968 in Auckland New Zealand. She was the 5th of 7 children. Through her childhood, she participated in musicals and plays and was always picked to be the main character because of her outstanding singing talents. After graduating High School, Lucy hoped to be an Opera Singer, and recieved private voice lessons while attending Auckland University. However she decided to persue acting and found work doing commercials in Auckland. Lucy left her home in New Zealand to travel the world with her boyfriend, Garth Lawless. While in Australia, Lucy got pregnant at age 19. The couple returned to New Zealand, where Lucy gave birth to daughter, Daisy. Lucy continued to persue a career in acting, on a show called "Funny Business." Lucy continued to get parts in commercials, before her big break came as a host of a travel show called "Air New Zealand Holiday." She didn't want to be the host of a travel show forever and continued to audition. American producers came to New Zealand to cast and film a few TV Movies for "Hercules." Lucy was considered to play the Amazon Queen in "Hercules and the Amazon Women" but Roma Downy got the part, and Lucy was cast as her second in command. Lucy had to go back to the travel show, and still played a few characters for Hercules, which had now become a TV series. Then, the writers of Hercules came up with a Warrior Woman named Xena. Again, Roma Downy was considered, but after much dispute over the fact that they had used Lucy in other roles, they dyed her hair black and she became Xena Warrior Princess.
Xena Warrior Princess
Growing up, Xena was the daughter of Cyrene and Atrius in the small quaint villiage of Amphipolis. She loved her family, which included her parents and two brothers, Lyceus and Toris. Her and her brother Lyceus mastered a few combat skills which came in handy when their villiage was attacked by a ruthless warlord by the name of Cortese. Xena's Warrior spirit kicked in and she insisted that they fight the army and protect their homeland. In a monsterous battle, many lives were lost. Including that of Xena's brother Lyceus. After losing her brother and shaming her kinsman, Xena left Amphipolis and before she knew it, she was an evil warrior. Killing and Destroying anything she could. She rode with some famous Warlords, like Borias. Soon she gained possession of her own army. Xena met a few people during her dark days that could've changed her forever and brought her back into the light. But it was Hercules who got it through her head and showed her the path of righteousness. However, if it had not been for her best friend and partner Gabrielle, Xena may have strayed from the path of goodness and went back into darkness.
