The The "Alink" ham communications awards system.

II. Objective

Of Alink!

For amateurs around the world to contact other amateurs in as many ALINK Zones, and countries, and states.. as possible using the the ilink communications.. system.

III. Open to all hams.

NOTE:  

This awards program is open to All AMATEUR RADIO Stations and Operator Classes.  Novices may use the ilink system as long as they stay off of non authorized frequencies not allocated to there license class when working repeaters.

IV. OPERATOR  INFO

1. Single Operators only may earn a award. No combined call signs or club stations with various operators etc or multiple person operations may apply..

V. Entry POINT

You may use any  INTERNET or cross band or REPEATER SYSTEMS having accesses to the

THE ILINK NETWORK ONLY.  NO IRLP CONTACTS WILL BE ALLOWED AT THIS TIME!

VI. Modes

Operators may earn  VOICE / CW / or a MIXED endorsements. 

VII. Bands

YOU MAY USE ANY HAM BANDS 

Or amateur radio frequencies AVAILABLE to your license class...

 As long as one of the operators is using the 

ILINK NETWORK SYSTEM. It counts as a ALINK AWARD qso...

VIII. Valid Contacts

YOU MAY USE A STATIONS CALL SIGN ONLY 

ONCE PER AWARD...

XI. QSL CARDS

TO:

make a verified award contact

 you must receive a qsl card in e-mail.. or regular mail.. from the station you just had a qso with, or the whole thing will not count... 

When applying for an award you may be asked to provided the call sign and  e-mail address as well as various and certain  actual qsl cards that you received.. for validation.

 When your ready to apply for one of the ALINK ..awards.

 the list of ILINK contacts you have made!

Indicate the award your applying for.

 Then E-mail us your log...With the (Call sign, name, RST, Modes worked, Dates ,Utc, QTH,.) of each contact..

XIV.  Logging Instruction

when sending us a log

please keep in mind!

1. Log ALL Times in UTC.

2. All exchanges are to be logged as.

(Call sign, name, RST, Modes worked, Dates ,Utc, QTH,.)

3.Use a separate log sheet for EACH AWARD submitted!

5. make sure you do not have duplicate call signs when applying for an award..

6.  At our request we will contact the stations you made QSO'S with and check with them to verify your contacts.. We will be fair and about this. If they cant remember your contact with them.. we will move on to another station who probably kept a better log of your contact with them.. 

We will randomly ask for qsl cards from you possibly proving the contact between you and them existed even if there memory or logs are a shortfall.... We will also ask for any number of random qsl cards that you say you have from the stations you said you have worked. plus their  e-mail address so we could contact them and ask them if they in fact sent you a QSL.. card etc..

7. An overall SUMMARY SHEET showing total QSO'S, Zones countries and states, areas worked and a declaration of what award you want to work will be needed!

8. Please understand the Windows platforms are the only platforms supported at this time..

9. DISKS: 

Logs may be sent on WINDOWS FORMATTED DISKETTES.. 

Clearly label the outside of the disk with the call , file names and type of program used. All DISKS MUST be accompanied by a Printed Summary Sheet, 

NOT the entire Log. Just send to

XV. Disqualifications

Operating in an unsportsmanlike manner, manipulating QSL cards or contacts.. 

Failure to omit duplicate contacts which are grounds for disqualification. 

The use of Non Amateur means such as bootlegging or pirating as hams but not really licensed.. call signs is a immediate disqualification and that certificate number will be reissued...

UNFRIENDLY BEHAVIOR will add up to disqualification.

 Actions and decisions of the Contest Committee are official and final.

XVI. Award Plaques

Plaques will be awarded to members who want them.

     WHEN YOU HAVE ACCUMULATED  enough  verified qsl cards from ilink members. E-mail the  contacts  and send them to us, and we will verify that they are genuine ilink contacts by contacting all or some of the call signs you have worked over the ilink system.
