Yes, part-time stock person for a supermarket.
Do you have any formal singing training?
No formal training, just self.
Where have you performed before?
Choir in middle and high school, a few school talent shows and festivals and a few major artists concerts (ie. Opening up for them).
When did you first start to sing?
Since about 3 years old, but mostly since I could talk.
What is your favorite song to sing?
I have so many styles that I love from so many different artists that it is difficult to really decide.
What is the first concert you went to?
I think it was a gospel concert by "Take 6" who is still to this day my favorite group because their incredible and simply articulate acapella harmonies.
What is the last concert you went to?
"American Idols Tour".
What other talents do you have?
I play piano by ear and self learning to read sheet music, and learning guitar, but I really would like to learn as much as I possibly can in music. Also, since I can remember I've been able to harmonize and have a good enough ear to harmonize with just about anyone, it's one of my best features.
If you don't make it on AMERICAN IDOL, what will you do?
I will strive like I said to make this my career because this is just a stepping stone and wonderful opportunity of many.
What are your goals in life?
I would like to become a computer graphic designer as far as my long term, and of course for my short term become a well known famous recording artist.
What album would your friends be surprised you own?
Carmen (Gospel singer) and Acapella ("Set Me Free").
What is the first CD you ever bought?
Acapella - "Set Me Free".
What is in your CD player right now?
Musiq - "Juslisen".
Who is your AMERICAN IDOL?
The one and only Stevie Wonder, an amazing man. An incredible and humble individual.
What is your favorite type of music?
R & B/neo soul/Hip-Hop.
What is your favorite song?
It's very difficult to decide, with such an incredible array of talent in the world, but I would say Stevie Wonder's "Ribbon in the Sky" because I could listen to it any time of day no matter how I feel and I'll always feel in good spirit…That's da man!
Favorite male pop artist?
Michael Jackson of course…he's da king!
Favorite female pop artist?
Janet Jackson cause she's holdin' it down like Mike, just on the female end of it.
Favorite album?
"Thriller".
Who in the music world do you think your style is most like?
Musiq, because his style and personality that he shows through his music reminds me of me.
Most embarrassing moment?
When I was about 6 or 7 my dog "Bambi" took "me" for a walk! In front of my whole family she dragged me across the entire big front yard of my house.
If you couldn't sing, which talent would you most like to have?
Playing instruments, because I would have to have some form of music in my life, don't know what I'd do without music, it's infathomable.
What has been your proudest moment in life so far?
Coming closer and closer to fulfilling and accomplishing my goals.
What is your definition of an AMERICAN IDOL?
Someone aspiring musicians and artists can look up to, and hope to become.
Why do you want to be an AMERICAN IDOL?
Because I truly believe I have a different and unique style that fellow Americans have yet to witness, basically bringing something new to the table!
Do you think the audition process was fair?
Yes, I do actually because it made it a difficult decision to sift through all this incredible abundance of amazing talent.
Who is your favorite judge and why?
It's a toss up between Paula and Randy because they each has "so much" love for me from jump, and I believe they saw the talent in me from the beginning.
Who is your least favorite judge and why?
I would say Simon because I didn't appreciate him not giving me constructive criticism.
What advice do you have for other hopefuls?
Strive to do all you can possibly do, and stay determined anything you believe in you can achieve.
What would people be surprised to learn about you?
That I am the baby of 6 siblings.
Who did you think was going to win last season?
Tamyra.
If you could be a performer from any era, which would you choose and why?
Back with greats like Donny Hathaway and Stevie Wonder cause I love that style from then to now.
