Bowling. ok...it's an 8 bit
bowling game for the Atari 2600. You play a guy bowling. You are on
the left, the pins are on the right and you throw the ball down the
middle. You move up and down to determine where in the lane you want to
throw the ball. There are three variations in the game, each of which has
a 1 player and a 2 player option. In one variation, you can throw a curve,
in one you can steer the ball and one is just a straight throw. The game makes these...um...sounds...when you throw a strike (a
strike is when you knock down all of the pins). It pretty much follows the
rules of regular "Live Action" bowling...only there aren't little
animated "friends" to get drunk, harass the women in the bowling alley
and get you all thrown out. Although it would have made the game more
interesting if that part of the "Live Action" bowling experience had
been included in this game. Needless to say, this game is easy to find
cheap. It's not the worst game that Atari put out, but I don't play this
one very often. |
