Boxing is yet another example of Activision taking an idea and making a
fun game with it. I'm not much of a sports game fan and I usually don't
really get into sports games, but there's just something about Activision's
Boxing for the Atari 2600 that I like. It's a very simple game. The
view is an overhead view. You see the head, shoulders, arms and hands for
the two boxers. You pretty much just punch each other. Push the
button down to punch, hold it down for combination punches. Your score is
at the top of the screen. You score 1 point for long punches and 2 points
for close jabs. If you can get to 100 points during the round, you knock
out your opponent. Each round lasts 2 minutes. This game is pretty
easy to find at a good price. |
