Eggomania is similar to the game Kaboom! by Activision.  You are a blue bear at the bottom of the screen with a bowl (or hat?) on his head.  Using the paddle controller, you move right and left trying to catch eggs that are dropped by a bird at the top of the screen.  If you miss an egg, layers of egg yolk build up at the bottom of the screen until the level of the egg yolk covers you and drown.  If you catch all of the eggs in one round, you get to shoot the eggs back at the bird.  If you hit the bird, the yoke level at the bottom of the screen goes down.  You also score 100 points for hitting the bird.  The size of the bowl (hat?) can be either large or small depending on how the difficulty switch is set.

If you like Kaboom!, then you will most likely enjoy this game.  I actually prefer it to Kaboom!  Eggomania is not a very common game, but it can still be found (without very much searching) for less than $15.
