Spider-Man for the Atari 2600 was a pretty good game. The idea
behind it was cool. You are, of course, Spider-Man. Your arch enemy,
The Green Goblin, is planting bombs on buildings. Your goal is to shoot
your web to get to the top of the buildings and defuse the Super Bomb at the
top. Along the way, you can score points for catching bad guys and
defusing regular bombs. You lose a life if you run out of time or if you
fall from the building and can't shoot a web to get back on. The bad guys
come out of windows along the way and cut your web. The Green Goblin flies
around on his...um...flying thing...and tries to knock you down. In the
more difficult game variations, there are more bad guys, the Green Goblin flies
around you more and he's faster. The game is a little bit more difficult
to find than average, but still not to tough to come by. You should be
able to pick up a copy for under $10. |
