Puritans SMASH! BBC brings us this less than liberal news:
The increasingly adult themes of Buffy's sixth season and Angel's audience pulling power may mean new American timeslots for both series next year.
Presently showing at 8pm Tuesdays on the UPN network in the US, Buffy could well be moved to 9pm when it returns in January.
The show has has become increasingly darker and raunchier in recent weeks and, coupled with the possibility that the under-performing Roswell being cancelled, that seems likely to precipitate the move, according to the Zap2it media web site.
Over at The WB, Angel's network home, poorly performing comedies on Thursday nights are worrying TV chiefs. They feel that Angel's popularity could win them better ratings if the show were to be moved away from its Monday night 9pm slot.
