~*Prologue*~

"We're here Liz." Max Evans shook his wife awake from her slumber in the front seat of the car. Liz slowly woke up and looked at the building in front of her.

The Crashdown Cafe'.

After fifteen years of living on the other hemisphere, Liz was nervous and excited to see this place again. Liz glanced at Max.

"We're finally here."

Max and Liz walked out of their car and went to the back to carry they're five year old and 7-year-old daughters Alexandria Nichelle, and Giavanni Natasha Evans. They walked to the door of the Crashdown currently unnoticed. When they looked in they took in the sight in front of them.

A birthday party was going on. A blond little girl, who looked about five blowing candles on a pink and white cake. She looked like a miniature Isabel.

Sure enough, Isabel Evans was standing right behind her. Max's heart constricted at the sight of his sister. He missed her so much over the years.

They continued to go unnoticed. They saw Max's parents but no sign of the Parkers. Liz silently prayed that nothing bad had happened to them. Then they saw a very pregnant Maria and Tess with Michael and Kyle near them. Amy Deluca and Sheriff Valenti weren't to far off. There were also three other little kids running around.

Max and Liz looked at each other, both terrified, before taking a deep breath. They grabbed hands and held their daughters in their arms for comfort. Max opened the door and all the guests looked up at the sound of the bell jingling. They all nearly fainted from shock of seeing their friends for the first time since April 2001. Fifteen years ago.

Part 1

April 2001

He's gone. Dead. Alex Whitman is dead.

Liz had just come back from Alex's burial in the graveyard. She couldn't even cry anymore.

There was no one to comfort her. Maria had Michael, Kyle had Tess, and Isabel had Max. Her Max. Liz shook that thought out of her mind. Max wasn't hers anymore. Her parents tried to help her by trying to comfort her. But only one person could give her the true comfort she needed. And he had someone else to help. He had a destiny.

Liz got up and put a CD in her boom box.

Sorry I never told you

all I wanted to say

now it's too late to hold you

'Cause you've flown away

So far away

She got up and walked to an old box. She called it her friend box. She had started it when her, Alex and Maria first became the three musketeers.

Never had I imagined

Living without your smile Feeling and knowing you hear me

It keeps me alive

Alive

She saw a picture of her, Alex and Maria at Disneyland when they were 12. They had begged, and begged for their parents to let them go on that trip.

And I know you're shining down on me from Heaven

Like so many friends we've lost along the way

And I know eventually we'll be together

One sweet day

The next picture was at Liz's 13th birthday party.

They had had so much fun dancing, and partying.

Darling I never showed you

Assumed you'd always be there

Took your presence for granted

But I always cared

And I miss the love we shared

The next picture was more recent. It was one of the rare happy moments from last year. She and Max were standing next to each other hands held. Maria and Michael were next to them arms around each other, and Alex had his arm around Isabel. It was in front of the Crashdown. It was just the original six.

And I know you're shining down on me from heaven Like so many friends we've lost along the way And I know eventually we'll be together One sweet day

Liz put away the box when it began to hurt to much. She lay down on her bed and began to listen to the lyrics of the song. It was one of Alex's favorites.

Although the sun will shine the same

I'll always look to a brighter day

Lord I know when I lay me down to sleep

You will always listen as I pray

And I know you're shining down on me from heaven

Like so many friends we've lost along the way

And I know eventually we'll be together

One sweet day

--Mariah Carey feat. Boys II Men, One Sweet Day

Liz was brought out of her thoughts by someone knocking on the bedroom door.

"Yea?" she called.

"Lizzie honey." It was her father. "Someone wants to see you." Her dad opened the door to reveal that Jerry, the last person to see Alex ever was standing next to him.

"I'll leave you two alone," said her father before closing the door.

"What are you doing her Jerry?" Liz asked him. Jerry looked nervous and fidgeted a lot.

"You said that if I noticed anything...strange, to come to you. So here."

Jerry hastily gave her a recites. "What’s this?" Liz asked him.

"Its binary...I couldn't finish it," he replied.

Liz looked at the numbers curiously.

"So...bye," Jerry said.

"Thank you," Liz replied quietly.

Jerry walked over to the door before turning to her quickly. "I'm sorry...about your friend," he said before leaving.

Liz looked at the door for a second before turning back to the back of the receipt.

Liz quickly got a book that Alex gave her two weeks ago. It was a computer book that had binary definitions in them. In five minutes Liz had decoded the whole message.

Kivar is in me

Liz, in your closet I left a videotape

watch it

Liz ran to her closet and began searching. In the top shelf of her closet there was the tape. Liz concluded that it was the one she was looking for. She quickly popped the tape into her VCR and pressed play.

Part 2

The screen fuzzed a little before coming on. Alex was in a chair in front of the camera.

"Liz, I have to warn you. He's got to me. Kivar has made me your enemy."

"It all started right before I left for Sweden. One minute I would be playing my bass in my room and the next I would be in the middle of the park. It got worse when I got to Sweden. My host family was so confused...they told me I would just get up in the middle of a conversation and walk out of the house."

Tears began to come to Liz's eyes as she heard her best friends dejected tone. Her dead best friend.

"I began to remember things Liz. I began remembering talking in big rooms in front of large groups of people. I had no idea who I was...what was going on. That is, until someone called me Kivar. We wanted to kill the royal four and their friends. We wanted to take over the world."

"Liz, they're all over Sweden, its like the home base of all Skins...yea, yea, I know what you're thinking, 'what about Arizona?' Arizona is nothing compared to Sweden...everywhere you turn, they're there."

Alex's behavior on the tape began to get erratic, strange. He began mumbling to himself.

"Kivar is me....I am him...him is me...NO! My name is Alex Whitman..."

Alex began to shake until he was nearly convulsing.

"I have to turn off the camera now Liz, he's coming and I can't stop him. This has got to end, and I'd do anything to stop it...even die."

Alex got off his chair and walked to the camera. The next thing she saw was a fuzzy screen. By this time the tears were coming full force. Liz ran to bathroom to throw up. Her father came running into there when he heard Liz throwing up.

"Lizzie, what’s wrong?" his father asked worried.

"Daddy...its all coming full force, he's gone, he's really gone daddy!! God help me...Oh God...Oh God. BRING HIM BACK!!! PLEASE!!!...Please God...." Liz was in hysterics now. Jeff couldn't bear to see his daughter this way it was breaking his heart.

"Lizzie it'll get better, I promise," Jeff began to cry himself. He held Liz in his arms and began to rock her back and forth. "Shh...shh."

They stayed in that position for nearly a 1/2 an hour.

"Liz, I want you to come to me when things get like this, don't be afraid." After Liz nodded her head her father got up and left her alone to collect herself. Liz cleaned herself up and went into her room and destroyed the tape. As soon as she done it she instantly regretted it.

'How the hell am I going to give them proof, great going Parker' she thought to herself.

Liz began to contemplate her choices. She could either go to the others and tell them, or she could go to Sweden her self. She couldn't just tell the others, they all couldn't go at the same time. And if they left in groups it would break the four-freakin'-square.

After pondering it for a while Liz made her decision. She was going to Sweden. Alone.

'It won't be so bad' she thought. 'I'll just go and investigate, then I'll come back to report to them.' Liz wanted to believe that things were so simple. She pushed away all thoughts of disdain. She wanted to believe that everything was going to be okay.

Liz picked up her phone to call the airport. "Hi, I want a plane ticket leaving today for Sweden...How much?...Okay...When is the next flight leaving?...6 am, Okay thank you."

Liz hung up the phone and began to pack. It was around 1:45 in the morning now. She silently crept into the bathroom and got her toiletries. She then packed a lot of clothes and underwear. She grabbed her journal and one more thing before leaving in the car.

* * * * *

2 hours later

"Liz!" Max whispered through her window. Max had spent most of his day trying to comfort Isabel. He finally had a chance to come here and it was 3:45 in the morning. He knew it was to late, but if she was asleep he would just hold her until she woke up. Until she was at least a little better.

Max looked inside her window. He was surprised when he saw the bed neatly made and no one in there. He quietly opened her window and made his way into her bedroom. Once he was in there he was bombarded with flashes.

*FLASH*

"Liz they're all over Sweden...its the home base of all skins..."

*FLASH*

"Hi, I want a plane ticket leaving today for Sweden...How much...Okay...When is the next flight leaving...6 am, Okay thank you."

*FLASH*

He then saw various images of Liz scurrying out of her room then climbing out the window.

When the flashes were over he came to in shock. He had only 2 hours and 0 minutes to get to the Albuquerque airport and it might be too late.

* * * * *

Liz scurried around various ATMs in the airport. She had $10,000 dollars in her account that she needed to get out. She quickly got out all her money and closed her account over the phone. She looked at the clock. Only a 1/2 an hour to go.

* * * * *

"Dammit!" It was 5:30 and Max couldn't find anywhere to park. He only had a half an hour and time was going annoyingly quickly. He finally found a parking spot and parked his car. He ran inside the airport and looked at the TV screens to try and find the terminal. He finally saw it and quickly ran towards it. He only had ten minutes.

He ran like a maniac until he got there. Once he was there his eye searched for a brown haired girl. 'Damn...it must be a trend or something,' Max thought to himself. There were hundreds of them. He finally saw Liz near the gate. No, he felt her.

He ran to her and put his hand on her shoulder to turn her around. "Max!" she exclaimed.

* * * * *

"How did you...how could you of..." Liz was near speechless. "The flashes. That’s how I found out. Now tell me what the hell you think you're doing?" Max asked her.

"Excuse me? What does it look like I'm about to do? I'm going to Sweden." Liz told him.

"Like hell you are." as soon as the comment came out of Max's mouth, Liz got pissed.

"Max, who the hell do you think you are, talking to me like that?" Liz retorted.

"The king of Antar…Sweden is skin infested and you actually thought you could go alone?" Max replied

By this time Liz's eyes were flashing.

"Max, I don't give a damn that you are a king. So the hell what! My best friend was killed. I am going to Sweden."

"Now boarding flight 545 to Sweden." The intercom burst in the middle of there argument.

"That’s my flight," Liz said more calmly.

"You're not going," Max told her.

"I'd like to see you stop me," Liz told him evenly. Liz picked up her bags and grabbed her ticket.

"Flight 545 to Sweden is boarding." The intercom blared again.

She turned to Max one more time. "You coming or not?" Liz asked him. When he made no move and said nothing Liz walked away and boarded the plane.

'Well damn' Max thought to himself. He had to make a decision and he had to make one fast. After a full minute he made his choice. He reached into his wallet and pulled out a two week old movie ticket. He quickly changed it into a plane ticket. He had gotten a glimpse of Liz's ticket and he knew where she was sitting. He changed the seat to one right next to hers.

"Last call for flight 545 to Sweden."

Max walked to the lady and gave her his ticket. Before entering the tunnel he paused. He was nervous. He didn't know if he was making the right decision.

He took a deep breath and boarded the plane.

Part 3

Liz felt someone tap her on the shoulder. She nearly died from shock when she saw that it was Max. She quickly pulled herself together. They just stared at each other before Max broke the silence.

"So you know, I thought that on our first stop we could pick us some clothes and stuff for me. This was a spur of the moment trip and I didn't bring anything with me." Max smiled at her.

He got into his seat and buckled the seatbelt, then turned to her. "So when is our first stop anyways?" Max asked her.

"We uh...we stop in New York." Liz told him. She was still shocked that he had just left like that. She hadn't really expected him to come with out any type of notice. Max was Mr. In-Control Never Do Nothing On The Spur of the Moment-Evans.

"Oh, that’s Good; I have some credit cards and an ATM card with me. It'll proberly add up to $7,000 dollars. How much money do you have?" he asked.

"$10,000," she replied shortly.

"Humm...that might last awhile. I think U.S dollars are worth more in Sweden, right?" Max asked her. Liz nodded her head.

Max let out a tortured sigh. Liz's lack of response was finally getting to him.

"Liz, I'm sorry for trying to control you, I was just scared of loosing you. I didn't want anything to happen to you because I love you and I'd do anything to keep you safe," Max told her.

Inside Liz was filled with warmth by his words. But Liz had eight hours till they got to New York and she was going to be bored. She had to find something to do and since Max had been such a jackass to her earlier he certainly deserved what he was going to get. Man, he is going to wish that she never laid her eyes on a television screen.

She gave Max a wide smile. The look on Max's face showed pure joy and happiness. Liz almost felt bad for what she was about to do to him.

Almost.

* * * * *

"Isabel, he didn't mention anything to you about leaving this morning?" It was 7:00 am when Mr. and Mrs. Evans discovered that Max was missing. They were currently interrogating Isabel about Max's whereabouts.

"No daddy, maybe he's over at Michael's," Isabel told them.

"Okay, I'll call him," Mr. Evans left to go call him. After he left Diane began talking to Isabel.

"Isabel, how are you feeling? I know yesterday was very hard for you and we didn't get to talk much," Diane said.

Isabel looked at her mom. When Diane looked into her daughter’s eyes she took in a sharp breath. She saw so much pain and anguish in her eyes. That light that used to be in her dark ebony eyes was no longer there. All she saw was emptiness. It was like looking into nothing.

"My baby." Diane said before taking Isabel in her arms. That’s when Isabel began to truly sob for the first time since hearing about Alex's death. The sobbing got so bad that she could hardly breath. That’s how Phillip found them moments later. He didn't even say anything He just simply walked up to them and joined the hug.

"Uh...Michael hasn't seen Max," Philip told them a few minutes later after they had all calmed down.

Diane thought for a minute. "I'm going to go call the Parkers, maybe Max is over there," she said. She got up and left them room.

"Mr. Parker?" Diane asked. "Um, can you check Liz's room to see if Max is there...I really don't mean to alarm you but we can't find Max...Oh My God...Okay, okay...bye." Diane hung up the phone and ran back to the kitchen.

"I called the Parkers and they checked Liz's room and they found it empty, they also saw some things missing, the car, clothes...she's gone."

The only thing they could do was stare at each other. Then at the exact same moment they jumped up and ran to Max's room.

* * * * *

"You know Liz, I'm so glad you decided to forgive me, because I was acting like a complete jerk back there." Max had been rambling since the plane took off. And that was ten minutes ago. Liz began to feel guilty about her plans. 'Goodness, would he just shut up,' Liz thought to herself. She would never be able to do this if he kept being so...so freakin' good to her.

Thankfully the stewardess came to ask for their drinks. They both ordered Pepsi and settled down. 'Time to go into action,' Liz thought.

Liz discreetly put the cup of Pepsi in front of Max's crotch.

"You know Max, I am so glad you decided to come on such short notice." Liz told him. She began seductively rubbing his legs.

'What is she doing?' Max thought to himself.

Liz continued to rub his leg until he rose to her actions. . As soon as he did Liz made her move and spilled the Pepsi on the crotch of his pants.

"What the hell?" Max exclaimed. He moved his hands to get ready to clean up the mess but Liz was quicker. She grabbed his hands and pushed the stewardess button. As soon as the stewardess came he let go over her hands.

"Um, my friend had a little accident," Liz pointed to Max's crotch which was wet and still up. "Could you bring him some new pants," Liz said sweetly.

The stewardess was downright disgusted. "Alright," she said. She then left to get the pants. Liz caught the look on Max's face. His mouth was and a big O, his expression was the perfect mix of horrification and embarrassment. His skin tone was bright red. It took the life out of her to not burst out in hysterics.

By this time the stewardess had come back with the pants. "Here you go sir.” she said to Max. Max took the pants and bolted to the bathroom. As soon as he left Liz began cracking up. 'Yea, revenge is sweet,' Liz thought. She couldn't stop laughing.

When Max came back they were both tomato red. Max from being so embarrassed, and Liz from laughing so hard. Max caught a glimpse of Liz and smirked.

'Oh yea, laugh now Liz, I saw that episode of Friends too!' Max began to think of his plan. Man, she was going to get it.

Part 4

Liz was getting worried. For the past two hours Max had been as quiet as a mouse, rarely saying anything to her. When Liz would touch his hand he would barely even look at her. She was afraid that the little joke she played on him wasn't such a good idea.

Liz sighed.

She couldn't have him mad at her for the rest of the trip. They had another five hours until they got to New York. Liz thought for a few moments and laughed.

It was still funny.

Max on the other hand was thinking of other things. He glanced around their section of the plane to make sure almost everyone was awake. He was beginning to have second thoughts on his plans when he looked at Liz's face. Maybe she didn't deserve it as much as he originally thought.

He turned to the sound of Liz laughing then shook his head. 'Yea...maybe she does.' Max put on a sad tortured puppy dog face then turned to Liz.

"Liz, we have to talk," he said seriously. Liz stopped laughing immediately.

"Yeah?" she replied. He looked around suspiciously. "We can't talk about it here, there are to many ears." he told her. By now Liz was worried.

"Where can we go?" she asked.

Max looked around again and pulled her towards the bathrooms. He made sure no one saw them go in. By the time Max closed the door Liz was beyond curious.

"What’s going on Max? What’s wrong?" she asked.

"Liz, there’s something I gotta tell you and it’s very important." Max told her cryptically.

Now the only thing Liz was feeling was impatience. "Max, quit stalling and tell me," she demanded. "Max let out a sigh and turned around to face the door.

"Hello? Max, are you there?" Liz was back to being worried. Maybe he was going to tell her that he wanted to go home. Maybe she was going to loose him all over again.

All of the sudden without any warning Max flung open the door.

"NO Liz, I don't want to become a member of the mile high club!" Max shouted loud enough for the whole section of the plane to hear.

The once rowdy section was now overlapped in silence. Liz opened her mouth in shock and turned bright red while Max calmly walked back to his seat. Liz felt all eyes on her. She hung her head so her hair could cover her face and quietly walked back to her seat. As she walked passed the rows Liz heard the faint roars of laughter. When Liz caught sight of Max he was laughing harder then she ever thought he could. He was holding his stomach and convulsing in laughter.

Liz quietly stepped over him to get in her window seat. Max laughed for two more minutes before he looked over at Liz's still red face. She had her hands covering most of her face and she was shaking. All off the sudden Max didn't find his joke so funny anymore.

"Liz" he said. He put his hand on her arm. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to-" Max was interrupted by Liz's snort of laughter. Max cocked his head to the side in confusion. "Huh?" he said. Liz uncovered her face and he saw the complete laughter in her face.

"Max, I know I should be extremely pissed off right now, but that was funny, and I guess I deserved it," Liz began to laugh harder and harder. After a minute Max joined her.

They laughed for a full five minutes. People who walked by their row stared at them strangely. When they finally stopped laughing Liz turned her head over to Max's and their lips were mere inches apart.

"You know Max; I want to thank you for making me laugh. I think that if you weren't here, I would be sitting here crying, bawling my eyes out. Thank you for coming here with me, you knew what the consequences were-" Liz's rambling was quickly ended by a full blown kiss on the lips.

When their kiss broke apart both Max and Liz were blushing. They leaned back in their chairs and didn't move until Max reached his hand out to take Liz's hand. Liz looked over at him and gave him a small smile.

After ten minutes of content silence Liz began to feel guilty. She had to stop this. She couldn't continue to cheapen the love they had for each other. Every minute passing she weighed the pros and cons of telling him the truth. She finally came to a decision.

If the world ended twenty years from now or tomorrow she wouldn't mind as long as they are in each others arms at the last moment.

"Max." Liz said. Max turned his head to face her.

"For seven months I've been lying to you, I never told you the truth, and now I'm ready." Max looked at her, wondering what she was talking about.

Max, I never...I never slept with Kyle..."

* * * * *

"Dammit!" Michael exclaimed. After two hours of being interrogated by the police he was on edge. The police had come to the conclusion that Max and Liz had run away. But they couldn't explain why none of Max's belongings were missing. The only person who was in his apartment was him and Maria. They were waiting for Isabel to come over so she could dream walk Max.

At the sound of Michael's outburst Maria jumped a little.

"Michael calm down," she said softly.

"No! I won't calm down, Max is just being an idiot following Liz like that!" he shouted. "Because of Ms. perfect two-timing Parker, I'm loosing my best friend!" Michael continued to go on and on ranting until Maria reached her breaking point.

"SHUT UP!" she exclaimed. "You're not the only person who's loosing some one. Did you already forget about Alex? Did you forget that I lost two of my best friends in a matter of a WEEK!" she shouted.

"DON'T TELL ME HOW HARD ITS BEEN FOR YOU...you're not the only one...your not the only one hurting." Maria ended her tirade in sobs. Michael was stunned into stillness for a second before he jumped into action. He took Maria into his arms.

"I'm sorry Maria, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you, I never meant to make you cry." he began to loose it too. One by one tears came pouring out of his eyes until he began full-blown crying. At that point Michael and Maria thought the exact same thing.

'At least I have you.'

Part 5

* * * * *

"Wh-what?" was all that Max could say. He was beyond confused.

"I never slept with Kyle, or anyone else for a matter of fact." Liz looked in Max's golden eyes and saw hurt, anger, confusion, and relief.

"Why did you do it? Why did you hurt me like that?" Max asked her. The hurt and dejected tone in his voice broke her heart and made tears come to her eyes.

"Because the world ended," she said matter of factly. Max looked at her as if she grew antennas.

"What do you mean?" he asked.

"One day before you came into my room that night a different you came to me. He was from fourteen years in the future." Liz told him.

"No, time travel is impossible, you're into to science Liz, it’s against all rules of physics." Max said. The corners of Liz's mouth pulled upwards. 'We even think alike,' she thought.

"I know, that’s what I thought too, but the Granolith can be used to tear an artificial rip in time space." Liz told him.

"So that’s what you meant, that day that I left for New York," Max concluded. Liz nodded her head, confirming his thoughts.

"What did he tell you?" he asked her, he wanted to know what could of been so horrible.

"He said that Tess left when we became close and because you four weren't together you couldn't defeat the skins. He wanted me to make you fall out of love with me. So I staged the whole scene with Kyle." Liz stopped talking when she saw Max's shaking hands and pale face. She couldn't stop the tears that were rolling down her face.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner, your proberly want to go home now, I guess when we get to New York you can take the next plane back out to Roswell."

Max had so many emotions going on at that moment. He needed to think about things.

"Liz I need to think. I have to think about what I'm doing."

Liz nodded her head and looked out the window while Max tried to sort out all the conflicting emotions going on inside of him. On one hand, he couldn't believe that Liz had gone through all of that on her own. He never wanted to hurt her like that again.

But on the other hand he had so many responsibilities, he couldn't believe that Liz didn't warn him or say anything sooner. Liz had also made it sound like that she wouldn't go back with him and he couldn't just watch her go to Sweden and not do anything about it.

But what about everyone back home? Surely, they all knew that he and Liz were missing by now. And telling them where they are wouldn't exactly be a good idea. They would want to all come and they couldn't just all go to Sweden. The states needed to be looked over too.

But like Liz said, if the royal four weren't together, beating the skins would be hard. Max sighed and put his hand through his hair. He was in a no win situation. Either way he went they both had serious consequences. If he went back home he would loose Liz and Liz would proberly loose her life. And if he didn't go back home the four square would be broken.

Max spent a full half hour trying to decide what to do before he came to a decision.

He was going to stay with Liz. After all is said and done he would have no life without Liz apart of it, standing right next to him.

He turned to Liz who had a pensive look on her face.

"Liz, what was our future like together?" he asked her. Liz looked at him with a misty look in her eyes.

"We married in Vegas in the Elvis chapel...we were 19." When Liz said that Max had a brief flashback to their trip in Vegas this year.

/"Who would want to marry in an Elvis chapel?" "Not me, not in this lifetime"\

Max smiled at the memory. "Very ironic" he thought to him self.

"Max what are you going to do? Are you going to go back to Roswell?" Liz asked.

"Maybe I don't want to go back." Max concluded silently.

"What?! Max you can't do that!" Liz exclaimed.

"Why not? You were ready to leave, you were gonna run away, the only difference is that we would be doing it together." Max said.

"NO Max, you can't. You have responsibilities-"

"I know, I know," Max interrupted. "But I still don't think we should tell them where we are." Max said.

"Why not?" she asked.

"Because if I don't go back I don't want them to find me." The tone in his voice indicated that he made his final decision. Liz let out a sigh. 'This is the worst idea ever' she thought.

And right she was.

"Flight 545 will be landing in New York in ten minutes. Please buckle your seatbelt,” blared the intercom.

Sure enough, ten minutes later the plane landed at the JFK airport. For the last few hours Max and Liz were silent. Occasionally they would hold hands, steal a kiss here and there, and give each other the soul mate glance. When they got in the airport they both hoped that Max's account wasn't closed. They both sighed in relief when Max was still able to take out money. Since they had about six hours till the flight to Sweden they decided to go around New York. Max had plans though.

He was determined that Liz Parker would become Liz Evans when the next flight took off.

Part 6

Max and Liz spent an hour walking hand in hand around New York City before Max noticed a small chapel. Max froze, gathering up the courage to ask her to marry him. Liz looked puzzled by his behavior.

"Max, what’s wrong?" Liz asked him. She began searching his eyes as if she could see her answers. Max squeezed her hand.

Max pointed to the chapel. "I know its not Vegas, but anyplace where our union can be legal is fine with me." he said. He bent on one knee. "Liz, please do the honor of being my wife."

Liz couldn't speak. She looked inside his eyes for any type of humor. She nodded her head.

"Yes."

"Yes?" Max asked. Liz nodded again and gave him a huge smile. They leaned in and shared a long sweet kiss before they broke apart. He took off the ring that he had given her last year. He covered his hand and made sure no one was looking. He opened his hand back up and gave Liz a beautiful diamond ring with an engraving.

'Je gre' amour te toujours'

He put the ring back on a misty eyed Liz. "Lets get married."

They walked inside the chapel where a lady took Liz away and a man went to go get Max a tux. Twenty minutes later they were ready to exchange vows. Max stood facing the minister. When the wedding march came on he turned around.

This was like a dream come true for him. For the past twelve years he spent countless nights dreaming about marrying Liz Parker. He couldn't believe that they were actually doing this. He couldn't believe Liz was marrying him. Even though he was an alien.

Liz reached the alter and they joined hands and faced the minister.

"Dearly beloved we are gathered here today to join the blessed union of Max Evans and Liz Parker...."The minister went on with the usual until it came time to read their vows. Max went first.

"Liz every time I looked at you for the past two years I felt amazed. Amazed that anyone as beautiful, caring, and as smart as you could love me. A day wont go by that I won't thank the Heavens for putting you in my life."

By the time Max was finished with his vows both of their eyes were misty. The minister then turned to Liz and asked for her vows.

"Max, how could I now love a man whose touch heals my every ache, whose eyes are like pools of amber? How could I not love a guy who shows nothing but love and respect for me? How, Max, could I not love you? Eternal is the only word that describe my complete and utter love for you."

Through Liz's vows she had tears coming out of her eyes and she was choked up. Max was crying too. Max didn't think that she could ever know how much those words could mean to him.

When the vows were over the workers cleared out a space for Max and Liz to dance too.

I’m telling the world here and now

that I’m gonna love you and love you

I take this vow yeah

you captured my heart so long ago

still there are some critical things

that you should know yeah yeah yeah

do I give all I am

to be all and forever your man

do I take you to be

without question the woman for me

do I promise you I do

do I promise you I do I do

this love has been worth

but waiting for

this love doesn't matter to me

if it's not yours

as we become one

through and through

I dedicate all of my life

to loving you yeah yeah yeah

do I give all I am

to be all and forever your man

do I take you to be

without question the woman for me

do I promise you I do

do I promise you I do I do

to have and to hold

our passions unfold

I promise a life you won't regret

for better or worse

no one can reverse the way that I’ve felt

since we met

and you ain't seen nothing yet

do I give all I am

to be all and forever your man

do I take you to be

without question the woman for me

do I swear on my life

we'll be happy as husband and wife

do I promise you

do I promise you

do I promise you I do

do I promise you I do I do I do

----Boys II Men, "I Do"

Throughout the whole dance they looked in each others eyes. They devoured each other with their looks.

When everything was over Max and Liz changed back to their clothes and walked out hand and hand as husband and wife. Liz couldn't believe that they had gotten married. Two whole years early than the last time. Even though she was still in shock she wouldn't change things for a million...no a billion dollars.

They looked at each other shyly. "Do you want to get a hotel room?" Liz asked him. Max looked at his watch and looked at her regretfully.

"As much as I want our honeymoon our flight leaves in two hours and we still haven't gotten the rest of the stuff for our trip. We can have a honeymoon before we have to do the work. One weekend of fun."

Liz smiled at him and agreed with his plans. They spent an hour shopping for toiletries and some clothes and boxers for Max. They caught a cab and then went back to the airport.

They had nearly twenty hours until they got to Sweden. Max and Liz got on the plane and began to just look in each other’s eyes. They had conversations with them. Without using words they proclaimed their love for each other.

Without warning Liz spoke up. "Max, we haven't taken our wedding picture yet," she said. Max just smiled at her and got out the Polaroid and asked a woman in the next row to take a picture of them.

Before the lady took the picture Max turned to Liz. "Do you realize this is our first picture ever as a married couple?" he asked her with excitement oozing out of his voice. Liz laughed and they turned to the woman who then took the picture. They thanked her and waited for the picture to come up. When it did they looked at the picture that showed so much happiness and completeness. They looked at each other and whispered the same thing.

"Forever."

Part 7

"So we all have no idea where Max and Liz are?" Michael was currently interrogating Kyle, Tess and Maria at his apartment. So far Isabel was nearly an hour late. Michael looked at the clock impatiently. They were supposed to have been dream walking by now.

"No, for the hundredth time we don’t know where they are," Kyle said impatiently. Michael sighed angrily and looked over at Maria. He had noticed that Maria was wiping tear tracks from her eyes. He walked over to her and gave her a reassuring hug. There moment was interrupted by Isabel walking inside.

"I'm sorry I'm late. Mom and Dad didn't really want me coming here with Max gone and Alex...dead." It still hurt for her to say dead and Alex in the same sentence. It just didn't fit in.

"That’s okay, we just have to get in Max's mind and see why he and Liz took off without telling us a damn thing." Michael said irritably. Isabel's cell phone rang just then.

"Hello? Mom...What?!...Any other information? Okay, bye mom, I love you."

Isabel clicked off the phone and faced the others.

"Well, apparently, the police found Max and Liz's car at the Albuquerque airport. And three hours ago all of Max's money was taken out of his account in the JFK airport in New York, and all of Liz's money was taken out about twelve hours ago in Albuquerque." Isabel told them. The five of them sat stunned until Kyle broke the silence.

"Well I guess we better hurry up and dream walk them," he said. They nodded and got ready.

"Okay Izzy, take a deep breathes and look at Max's picture." Maria told her. Isabel gave her a look as if to say duh. She touched his picture and then fell asleep.

*~Max's Dream-*

Max is dreaming about his and Liz's wedding day.

"Max?" Isabel calls out to him. Around him, the alter faded away so it was just him and Isabel.

"What do you want Isabel?" Max asked quietly.

"Max where are you? Where is Liz? We know that you two are together. Why did you guys just take off like that?" Isabel asked. Max faced away regretfully.

"I'm sorry Isabel, I love you, take care of yourself, our parents and Michael. Goodbye." Max then used his powers to force Isabel out of his dream.

*~End Dreams*~

Isabel walk up with a start and nearly fell out of the couch she was lying on.

"He kicked me out...he actually kicked me out." Isabel muttered.

"What?!" shouted Michael. He began to pace and run his fingers through his hair. "What was he dreaming about?" he asked minutes later.

"Him and Liz getting married." She was quiet for a moment. "I can usually tell the difference between just a dream and a real memory and this didn't feel like a dream." she finished. She heard the collective gasp around the room.

"So you're saying that Max and Liz get married?" Tess asked.

"Well it seems as though," Isabel said.

Tess's eyes seethed with anger. The turn tables we rolling in her head. She couldn't believe that this was happening. It’s all over for her. Her plans were just starting to work and Max just had to go marry Ms. Perfect Parker.

She looked up and noticed everyone staring at her. She masked the anger and contempt in her eyes and spoke up.

"So how do we find them?" she asked,

"We don't, wherever they are they don't want to be found." Isabel replied.

"But then how do we win the war? Do we need all four of us?" Michael asked. Isabel shrugged.

"You do." Maria said quietly.

"How do you know?" Tess asked.

"Because Future Max told Liz that." The others looked at her in confusion and she sighed.

"Okay, A Max from the year 2014 comes to Liz and tells he that in order to stop the end of the world she has to make present Max fall out of love with her. She does that by pretending to sleep with Kyle and Max catching them."

All eyes turned to Kyle and he raised his hands in defense. "She never told me why she had to have Max see us like that." he said. "I didn't know why,” he said in his defense.

"Anywayz, because Max and Liz shacked up in that timeline Tess left and when you four weren't together the skins won the war and took over Earth. Future Max had just come back from watching Michael die and Isabel died two weeks before." Maria let out a long breath when she was finished.

The others looked at her, all marveled by this story. 'Oh, this makes things much easier' Tess thought.

Michael began talking in not so covered anger. "So Liz knew that all of this was gonna happen and she STILL left with Max?" Michael asked.

Maria looked thoughtful and then answered his question. "I don't think that Max intended to leave. All of his stuff is still here, so he must of left in the last moment." She shrugged. "I guess he was gonna stop her, but ended up going with her instead."

"Who gives a f*ck why, the main thing is that we are all screwed." Michael said.

Nobody even attempted to disagree with that statement. Tess had to cover up her amusement in the situation.

* * * * *

Max woke up with a start and so did Liz.

"Max what’s wrong?" Liz asked him.

He turned to her with overwhelming pain in his eyes.

"Isabel dream-walked me and I kicked her out." Max said sadly.

"I'm sorry." Liz took him in her arms and comforted him. For the first time since Max walked on the plane out of New Mexico, he cried for the family that he was turning away.

Part 8

**** NC-17****

The plane landed in Sweden without a hitch. Max turned to Liz with excitement in his eyes, which Liz eagerly returned. Liz's expression quickly changed into panic.

"Max, I don't speak a word of Swedish." Liz told him. Max just grinned.

"I already thought of that Liz. I can get a book on it, then scan it into my brain then transmit it to you." he said hoping to sooth her fears. It didn't work, because Liz still looked worried.

"Max, what are we going to do here? I mean are we just going to spy on them or what? But would they be able to sense you-" Liz's tirade was interrupted by Max.

"Liz, we can worry about that later. Right now, lets just think about each other." Max said.

"You're right, this is our honeymoon." Liz flashed him a brilliant smile.

They walked around the airport until they found a small connivance store. Max bought a book of translations and tried to discreetly add a box of condoms to the counter. Liz smiled at the way his ears turned pink. They walked towards the exit of the airport. While walking Max skimmed through the book scanning the information. He touched Liz's head behind her hair where no one could see and transferred the information to her.

"Much better" she said. They walked out the door and Max hailed a cab.

"Kan du ta mig till erat bästa hotel? {Can you take me to your best hotel?} " He asked the driver. Liz turned to Max in shock.

"Max, we don't need the most expensive hotel, are you sure-" Max put his finger to her lip.

"Shh... You, Mrs. Evans, deserve the best." Liz gave him a quick peck on the lips. They hopped into the cab, which took them to the finest hotel this side of the country.

Once they got their Max booked a honeymoon suite. Once they got their Liz dropped her bags.

"Oh my God!" Liz cried.

"Fit for a queen." Max replied to her lovingly. Liz gazed around the hotel room.

"Liz do you think I could shower first? I want to uh, surprise you with something and I'll need the time." Max asked her.

Liz nodded and her eyes glittered with anticipation. "Sure Max, but lets order some dinner first,” she said.

"Okay, what do you want to eat?" he asked her.

"Lobster" she replied. Max nodded and picked up the phone to order a meal then he got his bag and headed into the bathroom. Liz used this opportunity to look around the hotel room. She looked through all the drawers. As a kid, she loved looking through hotels rooms whenever she would go on vacation. Twenty minutes later Max came out with black pants on a black shirt. Liz couldn't keep her eyes off of him. She just wanted to grab him and have her way with him. Instead she settled for making slight conversation.

"You look great Max. I didn't know we bought anything that nice," she said.

"We didn't. I used magic." Max said. "Now go shower, I can't wait to set everything up" he said.

Liz picked up her bag and went into the bathroom. Max hoped he would get everything ready in time. Thirty minutes later the dinner came and Max set it up on the little table that was in the room. Five minutes later Liz came out.

Max nearly dropped the lighter when he caught a glimpse of Liz. She was wearing a short black skirt and a tight red shirt that hugged her every curve. Her hair was flowing loose around her shoulders. Max froze. He wanted to capture this moment forever.

Liz gasped when she saw the room. It was dimly lit and there were candles around. White and red roses also decorated the room. Max had put some flower petals on the bed. It was beautiful.

"You look beautiful,” Max told her.

She smiled. "Thank you"

Liz looked at Max and could see him watching her with a certain hunger in his eyes. She slowly walked up to him and put her arms around his neck, and they began passionately kissing him. They're tongues dueled with each other and Liz began to moving him towards the bed when Max reluctantly pulled away.

"What about the dinner?" he asked breathlessly.

"It can wait," she replied.

She smiled at him with pure love and lust showing in her eyes. He nodded and leaned back in for another kiss as they stood next to the bed. Max began smoothing his hands over Liz's body and lifted her shirt over her head. Once the garment was removed he reached out to her bra-covered breast and began to knead it. Liz rolled her head back and moaned while Max’ lips began an assault on her neck.

Liz was hastily trying to unbutton Max' shirt but her trembling hands were impeding her attempt so she gave up and ripped it open, causing buttons to fly everywhere. She ran her hands up and down his rock hard chest. She felt him removing her bra and moving his lips down to her nipples. The sensations provoked Liz to lift her legs and wrap them around his waist. She began rocking her hips back and forth while Max groaned his pleasure. They fell back on the bed and both reached for Max' pants at the same time. Quickly they unbuttoned them and Max slid them off.

He removed Liz's skirt and panties, rubbing his hands on her thighs while she cried out in pleasure. Max entered one finger inside of her and when she began rocking her hips against his finger he inserted another one. Liz began panting and she reached her hands down Max' boxers and grabbed his erection. She rubbed her hands over him and Max let out a loud groan. He slid one hand up her stomach to her breasts, kneading each one equally. Liz began panting harder and harder until she came against his hand.

Max reached over and grabbed the condom that was on the drawer next to the bed. "Let me do it." Liz stated. Max nodded and slipped down his boxers. Liz carefully opened the wrapper and slid the condom on him. He rolled over so he was on top then slowly entered her. He looked into her eyes for any sign of discomfort. When he was all the way in Liz cried out in both pleasure and pain. Max kept still until Liz nodded her head for him to continue. He began pumping in and out and Liz met each thrust. They continued to do this until they both reached their peak together and they collapsed in each other’s arms, until they fell in a content slumber.

* * * * *

They awoke the next morning at the same time. Liz turned her head to face him and Max began stroking her hair.

"That was wonderful Liz." Max told her.

"Yea, I don't think that I've ever been so happy" Liz told him. Max reached over and kissed her sweetly.

"I love you Liz."

"I love you Max."

PART 9

Max and Liz crawled through the back of the auditorium unnoticed. At first Max was dead set against Liz coming with him to the Skins meeting. He soon learned that when Liz wanted to do something. She was going to do it.

They had spent Saturday and Sunday in the luxury of being newlyweds. Ever since the first time they had made love they couldn’t get enough of each other.

They hadn’t gotten out of bed all weekend except for four hours when they went to tour around Sweden, which was beautiful.

“Um Max,” he heard Liz whisper to him. He turned around to face her.

“Yea honey?”

“Do you think that they could send your presence? I mean you are the king and all.”

Max froze. He had defiantly NOT thought about that. So much for being a king…Liz should rule the planet.

“I hadn’t thought about that. I guess we’ll have to hope that they don’t sense me. If they do, then don’t worry. I’d protect you with my life.”

Liz took his hand and she began to rub her fingers over his knuckles. Max would of reached over and kissed her but the remembered that he was there for business, not pleasure.

But he couldn’t resist putting a quick peck on Liz’s lips.

They both turned their attention to the front of the room where some guy was preparing to give some sort of speech.

“Our feat to destroy the royals has gone down. We have word from one of our spy’s that King Zan and his human girlfriend have left their pathetic town Roswell.”

Gasps were heard around the room. Each person looking shocked at the revelation.

“Even worse, the King has wed his human love.”

Outraged gasps were heard around the room. Apparently, the aliens didn’t think to kindly of humans.

Max and Liz looked at each other in shock. Whoever this spy was, was extremely close to them. They had to find a way to inform their families back in Roswell.

“We must find King Zan and his human wife, and terminate them. The thrown cannot be mine without that damn family wiped out.”

Max and Liz then realized who that man was. It was Kivar.

“Any questions?” Kivar asked once he let his words sink in to the crowd. A tall thin man rose up.

“Your highness, who is this spy that you speak of? How will you wipe out the remaining royal family?”

“Our spy is our secret. Do not worry; she will be killed as soon as we get what we want. As for the remaining royal family we will handle it. As soon as that is done we will rule not only Antar, but Earth and their hapless creatures.”

A strong round of applause roared through the crowd.

Max and Liz shared a glance of terror. They had to get a way to warn Michael, Isabel, Maria, Kyle, and Tess about the skins. No matter how hard Max tried, he could never master the art of dream walking. Max glanced at Liz and remembered about her powers. Maybe she might be able to accomplish that.

They would try to do there part in Sweden, but Roswell needed help. They both helped that it would be enough to save the world.

“No other questions?” Kivar asked the audience. When no one responded Kivar ended the meeting.

Max tightened his grip on Liz’s hand. “We have to get out of here now.” They turned around and came face to face with a pretty African American girl who looked no more then 18. Max’s hand covered Liz’s mouth to flatter her scream of surprise.

The woman began to talk to them in a perfect American accent.

“Look, if you don’t want to cause a scene, I suggest you follow me…oh, and don’t use your powers, you’ll surely be caught and killed.”

Max and Liz shared a long glance before they began to silently follow her. She led them into a deserted room, not to far from the main auditorium.

“Okay, first of all I’m not a Skin, I’m from Earth. And I’m defiantly not an enemy.” She told them.

“Then who are you?” Max asked.

“I’m kind of like a seer…but I can’t tell the future.” The girl stalled as if trying to get her thoughts together.

“I’ve been brought into this whole alien scene by this man who claimed to be the protector of the Royal Four. He taught me all about the four…everything…also about their friends and the kings human love. He also taught me how to access parts of my brain and taught me telekinetic…stuff like that.”

“What is your name?” Liz asked her. She didn’t know what it was, but she already trusted this girl.

“Serena Taylor.”

PART 10

~March 2001~

Tess Harding walked the quiet streets of Roswell after finally being released from her two week grounding from Jim. Everyone who ditched Roswell for Vegas was grounded for two weeks. Max, Liz, Alex and Maria got the brunt of the punishments.

Tess turned around abruptly. She had the strange feeling that someone was following her. She turned back around and walked more slowly, keeping her ears open. Before she knew what happened she felt a hand cover her mouth and some one pull her into a nearby warehouse.

Then all went black.

What felt like hours later she opened her eyes again and gasped in shock at her captors.

Nicholas, Rath, and Lonnie.

“What do you want from me?” Tess asked, fear apparent in her voice.

“We want everything,” Nicholas answered. “The King and the Granolith…why else do you think we’d take you?” he asked

Tess closed her eyes, as if preparing to mind warp them.

“Don’t even try it Tess,” Rath told her. “You ain’t neva gonna mind warp us, we blocked your powers, aight?” Tess nodded her head.

“Back to business,” Nicholas barked. “We need for you to deliver us the king.”

Tess shook her head hard. “Never.”

“You will do it Tessa.” Nicholas commanded.

“Why do you need the granolith AND the king?” Tess asked

“You can’t activate the granolith without the king and his mate.”

“So you need Max and me?”

Lonnie let out a loud snort of laughter. “Listen bitch, you ain’t Max’s mate,”

“YES I AM!” Tess shrieked.

“No, you’re not. The Parker girl is,” Nicholas told her, amused by Tess’s reaction. Tess’s eyes seethed with anger. “We have a proposition to make. You give us the King and the granolith and you get to go back to Antar and be queen.”

Tess took a minute to think about this. ‘Queen or peasant human?’

“Fine. I’ll do it”

* * * * *

{April, 2001 Stockholm, Sweden}

Max, Liz, and Serena walked into Max and Liz’s hotel room. They all stood there not really knowing what to say.

“So…” Serena started hoping to start some kind of conversation.

“So we should start dream walking…Liz are you sure you can do this?” Max asked her.

“Yea Max,” Liz answered. “I want and I have to do this.”

“Okay.” Max reached into his wallet and pulled out a picture of Isabel, Michael, and him.

“Maybe I should try Isabel first. She would know when people are trying to mentally contact her the best.” Max nodded and Liz sat back on the bed. She touched the picture and try to step in Isabel’s mind. After five tries she was about ready to give up.

“This isn’t working Max.” Liz told him.

Serena spoke up. “Imagine her talking to you and jump yourself in the conversation,” Serena offered. Liz raised her eyebrows. “Trust me Liz, it’ll work.” Liz nodded and tried again. Finally, she made it in.

“Looks like she’s in,” Serena stated.

Max nodded. “How old are you? Was the protectors name Nasado? How come Tess never told us anything about you? How long have you known the protector? Where is your family?”

Serena stared at him, shocked at all the questions that came from his mouth. “Uh, I’m seventeen, No, the protectors name wasn’t Nasado. I never knew his name, so I called him Tic-Tac. I don’t know Tess personally. I’ve known Tic Tac for four years, and my family is dead.”

“I’m sorry to hear about your family.” Max told her.

Serena nodded. “Yea, well.”

“Where are you from? Why did you call him Tic-Tac? What happened to him?”

Serena stared at him. “What is this? The Spanish Inquisition?” Serena said as a joke. When she saw no hint of laughter she begun to answer his questions.

“I’m from Florida, Miami to be exact. I called him Tic-Tac because whenever he changed bodies he popped about gazillion tic-tacs in his mouth. What happened to him? I have no idea. He just…disappeared.”

At that moment Liz gasped and her eyes flew open. “I did it. I warned her.”

~In Dreams~

“Isabel?” Liz called.

Isabel was dreaming of her and Alex at the prom. The scene made Liz’s eyes water. Seeing Alex again made all the feelings of his death come forward. She shook her head to clear her mind. She had a mission to accomplish.

She walked up to Isabel.

“Isabel?” Isabel turned to her in shock.

“Liz? Is that you?”

“Yes it is, Listen, I don’t have to much time. There’s an enemy close to you.” The scene changed from prom to Isabel’s room.

“Who is the enemy?” Isabel asked in fear.

“We don’t know, but an enemy is near, find out who it is and watch your back, if we find out, I’ll contact you again.” Liz began fading out of the dream.

“Liz! What’s happening?”

“I’m leaving the dream plane…whatever you do, be careful! Learn who to trust!” Liz managed to shout out before fading away.
