Who is this
"Steve" you speak of?
Steve
is the easy-cheesy exuberant surfer-dude pitchman on the Dell computer
commericals. Can we say modern-day Eddie Haskell? He's always trying to convince his
friends' parents or his parents or ANYdudes to buy Dells. He acts like
a goody-goody around the parents, and tries to be
the "cool dude on the block with the new
computer sysetem".
How did it all begin?
I
can't recall when I first saw the
"Steve" commercials, but I do remember
becoming extremely intrigued with (I think it
was) the 3rd one with Jeff. This Dell commercial
was so entertaining, and was probably the funniest of all them so far. I remember it coming on all the time during the 2001 NBA playoffs.
"Steve" was such a good actor, and so,
from then on I paid close attention to the
commercial whenever it came on. He is also very believable, and makes a great salesman. .
So, what has Steve gone through so far? Well... he's been an elf, and lurking dude at a computer store, a graduate, an employee.... what Is Next? The commercials show an awful lot here, on practically every channel, and that's a very good thing. Steven has also helped Dell's company to grow over the last year. (It's so true! He's a one-in-a-million salesmandude.)
