From Our House(s) to yours!!
After several Requests for Mary Ellen's Baked Potato Salad, and Russian Potato Salad, we decided to pass along a few recipes. Feel free to send in yours and we'll post it.
Mary Ellen's Kitchen

Sausage Soup | Baked Potato Salad | Russian Potato Salad | Rabbit Salad | Tamale Casserole
Soups
1 large can V-8 juice plus 1/2 can of water
chopped onions
chopped carrots
chopped celery
cut green beans
can whole kernel corn
1-2 lb sausage
sliced can diced tomatoes
heaping tablespoon. garlic
bay leaf
1 tsp oregano
salt & pepper to taste
Place all ingredients in stock pot let simmer for 1 to 2 hrs serve with garlic bread.
Salads
5-6 large potatoes boiled
1 cart. sour cream
1/2 lb bacon fried
1/2 - 1 cup grated cheese
pkg potato toppers
Cajun seasoning
salt & pepper
after potatoes have cooled mix all ingredients together let chill in frig. at least one hour.
5-6 large potatoes boiled and cooled
1/2 lrg onion chopped
2 ribs celery chopped
3-4 tbs pickle relish
1/2 cup mayo of salad dressing
1/3 -1/.2 cup Russian dressing
mix all ingredients together and let chill at least one hour.
1 hen or rabbit stewed
2 ribs celery
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup walnuts
1 can mandarin oranges
1/2 cup salad dressing
1-4 mint leafs crushed
salt & pepper to taste
shred meat combine all remaining ingredients let chill at least one hour. E-mail me (Mary Ellen) for the funny story to go with the above recipe.
Casseroles
1 - 2 large cans tamales
1large can wolf chili
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 small carton sour cream
1-1 1/2 cup cheese
in casserole line the bottom with tamales in bowl mix chili, onions, and sour cream pour mixture over tamales top with lots of cheese bake 350 degrees 1/2 hr to 45 mins serve with chips
