It has been a year since that fateful apocalypse, the one that ended Buffy’s reign as slayer in Sunnydale. With no Sunnydale, there was no need for a slayer. Packing up her things, Buffy and her friends move to LA to work with Angel Investigations, the detective agency where Buffy’s vampire ex boyfriend Angel works at.
The apocalypse did not come without a price. Anya, Xander’s ex girlfriend was killed in the fight. Buffy finally told Spike she loved him…and he too died. The vampire with a soul had ended his time on earth as a hero, something he never thought he would be. Now Buffy mourns. Every night she is tortured by visions of the battle, scenarios that play in her head in which she saved him. Her dreams are all she has left.
Then, out of blue, a year after she left him in the black hole that now is Sunnydale, Spike returns…and he’s human. The Shanshu prophecy that was thought to have dealt with Angel…was really meant for Spike. "The vampire with a soul, once he fulfills his destiny, will Shanshu. Become human. - It's his reward." Now that he’s human, there should be nothing standing in Buffy’s way…except herself. Will she finally give in to the former vampire? Or will she deny herself the very love she’s been searching for?
