It's been confirmed! Eliza Dushku has managed
to clear her film schedule so that she may
return to Sunnydale as bad-ass slayer Faith. Dushku will feature in the
season's final five episodes. She will also return to Angel earlier
in the season. |

At the UPN networks fall preview, Joss
Whedon
stated that next season will mark the return of characters such as
Glory, as well as a long recurring role for Faith, as well as many other
familiar faces. Although he's not saying why, Joss added that the whole idea
of old characters resurfacing WILL have a bigger point.

At the same preview, Joss also
discusses possibilities for the show should Sarah Michelle decide
to leave after her contract is up at the end of this season. Emma
Caulfield pointed out that while the other cast members have signed on
for an eighth season, she will be taking her bow at the end of Season 7. |

imdb.com website lists Tim Curry as "The First Vampire" from 2002-??,
which means that, if the site is accurate, we'll be seeing Tim Curry in a
recurring role next season, possibly as the new big bad. There are also
rumors floating around the web that Luke Perry, who played "Pike" in the
movie, will appear this season, although this is in no way confirmed. |
Anthony Head has
confirmed that he is signed on for at least ten episodes for Season
Seven, with the likely possibility of more down the line. |

announced that an 8th season of Buffy is "likely," adding
that should Sarah Michelle Gellar want to leave the show after season
7 (when her contract is up), it would be up to the network if they wanted to
continue. |

Here's an article from an enraged lesbian fan, who is upset that the show killed of "Tara," ending the most believable long term lesbian relationship ever portrayed on TV. (PS: Get over it. Tara was a character, just like everyone else. And just like everyone else, she was expendable. Accept it for what it is.)
