Amy Madison (Elizabeth Anne Allen), 20, is a witch. She first encountered Buffy when they were trying out for cheerleading. However, when Amy got 3rd alternate, many "accidents" occured causing cheerleaders to be unable to participate on the squad. It appeared Amy was using witchcraft to cause the disasters. However, it was actually her mother, Catherine, who had switched bodies with Amy so she could relive her glory days as a cheerleader. Buffy defeated her with her own magic, and Giles restored their rightful bodies ("The Witch"). Amy would pop up here and there after that. She became a witch herself, and when Xander found out, he blackmailed her into doing a love spell to make Cordelia love him. However, it caused everyone EXCEPT Cordelia to fall for him, including Amy. However, she eventually reversed the spell with Giles ("Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered"). Then, she was attacked and tied to a stake where she was to be burned when Joyce and the parents of the town formed MOO (Mothers opposed to the occult) ("Gingerbread"). Amy, to escape, turned herself into a rat, and has been stuck ever since, although Willow inadvertantely turned her back, but quickly returned her as well. ("Something Blue")
