Wesley Wyndham-Pryce (Alexis Denisof) was sent to Sunnydale as Buffy and Faith's new watcher ("Bad Girls,") after Giles had been fired ("Helpless"). He was extremely book-smart, but was inexperienced in battle, and usually just screamed like a little girl in a fight situation. He held little control over Buffy or Faith, as Buffy resented him for replacing Giles and Faith just didn't want orders. He failed in capturing Faith for the counsil, sending her further into the "dark side." Eventually, Buffy got tired of him and his orders, since he demanded that she forget about Angel and focus on the Mayor ("Graduation Day Part 1"), and she fired him. He always meant well, and to prove it, he returned offering his help in the final battle against the Mayor ("Graduation Day Part 2"). He was taken out within the first few minutes of the battle, but at least he tried. As a result of him helping Buffy after she quit the counsil, Wesley was fired from the Counsil, and he took up being a rouge demon hunter. He enjoyed a brief romance with Cordelia, but when they kissed, they decided that they didn't have any chemistry.
